“Update: Visiting again in 09/2026 and they are still just as kind, professional, and pay attention to detail. 10/10 Wow! Where to start... I had the pleasure of visiting this location after the company I've been loyal to for years was very rude to me. I drove to Houston specifically to have them service my vehicle only to be told I needed an appointment for an oil change. I left and found Discount Inspection & Brake through a quick Google search. This location is 2 minutes from me in Pasadena, and I am happy to have found such wonderful people close to home. They were extremely thorough, patient, and willing to teach someone with no knowledge of vehicles the basics. I went in for an oil change and left with peace of mind. They checked my filters, my skid plate was hanging and they did their best to assist, and they let me know I needed tires and brakes. One of the gentlemen even showed me how to replace my cabin air filter myself. My previous mechanic never mentioned any of these issues. I was highly satisfied with their service and I will be recommending them to family and friends for future reference.”

“I’m a bit late with this review, but let me tell you Ben is a very knowledgeable and honest mechanic shop owner, I had an issue with my car that I know for a fact that other shops would try to bleed me dry to fix. Ben however took his time and really looked into the issue with my Honda, next thing I know he found that it was a bracket that was loose and was straight up about it, the crazy part is he told me I was good and that I didn’t owe him for the issue. God bless this man truly because I was stressed out about the cost of repair, I will definitely be bringing my car to this shop.”

“AXLE AND WHEEL ALIGNING COMPANY did a phenomenal job fixing my truck. From the beginning, they took the time to explain what needed to be done, what was most important, and what repairs could wait until later. There was absolutely no pressure or upselling, which I really appreciated. Their customer service was excellent, and they kept the whole process simple and straightforward. I made an appointment to drop off my truck and was honestly surprised they were able to complete all the work, perform the alignment, and road test it in less than a day. It is hard to find a repair shop that is knowledgeable, honest, and respectful of your time and money. My truck is driving great, and I would definitely recommend Axle and Wheel Aligning Company to anyone looking for quality work and great service. I will absolutely use them again.”

“I’ve always had good experiences with express, but today definitely warrants a review. I ended up with a flat tire 400 feet from Express because a vehicle in front of me lost a trailer ramp. I wasn’t sure if I would need to get a tow for assistance. One of the employees, Joe, saw it happen and helped me safely guide my car into the parking lot for assistance. They were honest about prices , got everything done in under an hour, and were even able to go ahead and do my emissions test while I was here!”

“I pulled in when no one was there on a Friday afternoon about 3:15. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. They asked if I had a coupon, and when I did not, they applied one. You don’t get service like this every day. The staff were super friendly and they went above and beyond. I had my tires rotated about two weeks ago at Discount Tire, and they could never get the tire notification reset correctly. Jiffy Lube staff took care of it for me.”

“Automotive Service Center was highly recommended by a neighborhood friend. Extremely happy that he told me about James! Issue was the oxygen sensor, quoted me a price to purchase/replace the sensor which was well below any other quote I had. Finished the job in one day and then I had to argue with him about taking a few extra dollars than what he quoted me. If you want honest, amazing service, see James at Automotive Service Center.”

“Very helpful and knowledgeable! Definitely recommend for all air cooled needs. I was passing through the Houston area and had a brake light go out on my 1973 VW bus. I initially replaced the bulb but that didn’t do the trick turned out the tail light assembly needed replacing because the connection was corroded - I had a new assembly with me but my bolts holding it in were pretty stuck. Took the time to fix (my wires, under dash, and sorting it out took some time) and make sure that it was good to go for continuing on the road trip. They have an array of Volkswagen parts available which is really helpful because most places don’t. Honest, good service, would recommend for all your VW bus or bug needs!”

They found the problem and got my truck back to me with a very fair price. Just did a 10hr trip with no hiccups yesterday. I will see them again when I'm ready to get the transmission refreshed.”
