“Roy and his wife are amazing people and they care a lot about the shop. My son and I went in one day to look for some Pokémon card and he gave my sone some cards and some pins. He loved them so much and the only down side is he wants to go see “Mr. Roy” every day?”

“The Otaku Cafe is, on the outside, a small, niche shop with assorted anime paraphernalia and a dark arcade hidden in the back. But it’s so, so much more than that. The crew there understands that, more than merchandise and games, their strength lies in the COMMUNITIES they foster. Yes, they offer a great value with their free-play arcade hall, but what really matters there is the people you can meet. I myself have been making the drive from Kerrville every single week for the past two years with my son and daughter to be a part of the Fighting Game Community that has made the Cafe its home, and that group has by far been the most influential, positive factor in our lives since finding it. But it’s more than just us - the Cafe has opened its doors to various fandom groups such as model builders, card game battlers, and other motley crews I’m only vaguely aware of. Fact of the matter is, this may well be the most positive and uplifting nook in all of San Antonio, where everyone is happy to be there and happy that you’re there too. If you’ve never been, I highly recommend it. The merchandise is neat, the prices are fair, the games are amazing and well maintained, and the whole place just feels like coming home. I genuinely love these people.”
“We’re so glad this shop is in our neighborhood. It has become our family’s favorite place to visit. The staff always make us feel comfortable asking questions, whether it’s about blind boxes, cards, or their other unique items. We’ve picked up everything from Pokémon cards and books to plushies and Funko Pops, and we always leave with something cool. You can tell they really know their stuff and keep things fair. We’re excited to check out a trading night soon. Overall, just a fun, welcoming spot we truly enjoy.”

They have very cute peeker decals and MANY stickers from Texas artists. I love it, same feeling as going through artist alley in San Japan but available all year ?”

“Didn’t get any pictures, as soon as I walked in my jaw dropped to the FLOOR!! Huge building! Packed to the brim (but NOT crowded) with recent AND older figurines, comic books, manga, Pokemon cards, Yu-Gi-Oh cards, One Piece cards, and so much more!! Small selection of binders and card sleeves, as well as a corner for trading or battles,, there was so much more I’m probably missing but definitely worth the detour!!”

“We came to Trader's Village today just to come to the ducky store. My daughter (21) has been collecting ducks since she was five. They have a huge selection of duckies and many of them are only $1. The store has many duckies that my daughter had never seen before. There are some more expensive ones that are larger and more intricate. They sell sets of ducks as well. It costs $6 to park at Trader's Village. The store charges $1 for credit cards. We will come back before Christmas to stock up on gifts”
“They had plenty of workers on hand to help and answer questions. They were very patient with my daughter as she asked several off the wall type questions with Legos and where to get random Legos. The prices are varied anywhere from $9.99 and way up there in several hundred dollars. They have a wall of miscellaneous colors and pieces which my daughter thoroughly enjoyed. It was $9.99 for a small box, which I had no problem doing, and I think it was $19.99 for a large box(But I could be wrong on that amount. It's just what I'm remembering right now.) then they had an area where you could choose three characters for $9.99 and they had a total of five pieces so it was the body top, the legs, a head, a head top accessory like a ponytail or a certain type of hat, and an accessory like an ax or an animal or a bag, etc. overall great experience and will be back again. My daughter had me take pictures of several things that she wants for her wish list which is what I'm going to post in the photos here”
“This is probably my favorite place to hang out when I have a few minutes. Their Warhammer selection is great! They have wonderful DnD models cheap. Their comic selection is amazing too.”

“We have been going to Bricks and Minifigs for years. The one in Alamo Ranch is organized from sets, to individual Lego pieces, to minifigs and even a display of the worker's own creations. Customer service is great! Every question from my boy has been answered with the upmost respect. I appreciate the time that they tend to help him what what he is looking for. “All the ladies here were so helpful and gave me the best deals! Kenya and Kaley were most helpful with my purchases! This was my first time in the store because I was unsure they had my sizing being a bigger girl but they assured me if I ever needed help finding anything in my siaze they could definitely help and if I added to my wishlist the could help me find exactly what I want! “I used to like five below alot more. They used to have fun small off brand Lego sets that were actually pretty neat. Now its just random botanical flowers which are really cool. But since they are off brand, the sets dont look thar nice once done. Id rather spend an arm and a leg on the actual LEGO botanical set. However, from a while ago, i have this nice vapor wave themed Lego set of a sunset that I built which is really cool.”
“Just had an amazing customer service experience at this store and just wanted to give a shout out. I was just doing a simple return and I guess some new policies had changed and ID was needed even though I had the receipt. I asked some questions the individual behind the counter couldn’t immediately answer so he did the correct thing and got his manager. The manager, and my apologies I’m blocking on your name right now, came out and immediately explained everything and informed me about a lot of things as well that was extremely helpful for future business with GameStop. So I just wanted to say phenomenal job at flipping what could’ve been a very negative experience into a positive one. A+ your team members will do extremely well if they keep watching the example you have set.”

I walked in and, apologies if I’m remembering her name wrong, but I believe it was Clarisa, saw me looking around at the different options and asked if I needed any help. I’m used to sales people being a little pushy, it’s part of the job after all, but she did such a good job of staying on focus with what I was looking for, but making sure I was aware of all of my options :) she even went to check on some things without me even asking, which blew me away.
Then when I started the creation process, Adriana took over and coached me through the rest. I’m very detail-oriented, and it seemed like she caught on to that in the first 2 minutes and personalized the rest of the experience to that. Truly blown away by the level of service I received from both of them :) thank you guys so much!”

“The shop was amazing & had a decent selection, mainly popular animes but still good & just below or at retail price, anyone who said it’s expensive doesn’t actually know pricing but SOME of the figures were a little pricy. I’d say it’s fair enough & the girls there were super nice & helpful when I went, two of them offered help & checked up on me a few times ^_^ that one guy was definitely a bummer though”
