The owner and the staff is always helpful.- even taping up my mailers, letting me borrow their stapler and giving advice on the best way to mail my packages. They keep names on a computer which makes it so easy to print out labels to put on packages . The guy and I had a nice conversation (debating if gelatin is animal derived or healthy, lol) while he scanned my return package, even tearing apart a bubble wrap nerves to pad my return item so it’d be safe and sound, then taped up my package, all free of charge. Package got there in a few days and I got a full refund.”

“This location is the best post office in the Upper Kirby neighborhood! (Probably the best in Houston). Each person who works behind the desk is always so patient, helpful, and kind. I often come to this location to ship packages and the customer service is top notch. This location also has a new self-service shipping option as well for those who ship packages with a QR code like me. This makes it easier if there is a line of people waiting or the desk is closed. Even when there is a line at this location, it moves quickly and efficiently. Love this location and appreciate the employees who make the shipping process easier!”

“My son and I both had passport appointments for today. After reading the reviews I was worried I had picked the wrong place to get our passports. However, the staff was amazing. Barbara was polite, efficient, and had both of ours finished within 15 minutes. I had even made a mistake she found! If you need a passport, don't second guess going here. We did not have 1 single issue.”
“I realize post offices tend to get bad rap in terms of reviews (and sometimes for good reason due to poor service), but I have to be honest and give credit where credit is due here. The young lady attending today (8/30/2025) was working solo and the computer system went out, so almost everyone had to complete their business at the self service kiosk. This woman patiently waited long after the office closed at 1pm and guided everyone through the process one after the other, and was very courteous throughout it all, despite the line being long and no A/C!! This woman deserves all the good stuff that's coming to her. Talk about going above and beyond!”

“It is a decent place, but the employees and the managers do not take the public's time into consideration. There is usually a long line to get services from an employee, their automated kiosk is frequently out of service, and their wait times to pick up a undeliverable package is usually long because the bell that can announce to them that you are waiting, I'm still has not been fixed”

“My experience is a little unique, but it needs to be shared. I work not too far from this location. Today I accidentally locked myself out of my work building. No phone, no car keys, no food. And to make matters worst, it was raining outside. The good news is that I was wearing a rain coat, and I did have my wallet, with 2 emergency contact numbers inside. I had a choice to go to the fire station, the library, or the Post Office on Chimney Rock. I chose the Post Office. Once I explained my situation to one of the managers there, Mr. Davis I believe, he let me use his personal cell phone for as long as needed. Then one of the guys at the counter, Mr. Sydney I believe, offered to drop me off at another Park location during his lunch break. He did follow through, and even offered to buy my lunch. I learned from a brief conversation, that their location is very understaffed. Despite all of that, they both showed outstanding fellow feeling and compassion. I really appreciate their kindness.”
“Been here twice and was initially worried due to other reviews. Not sure if they had a change in staffing or others caught them on a bad day but the two times I've been here the staff has been nothing but nice. On the first visit a staff member or manager came out to apologize about the delay and provided information as to what could and couldn't be done through the self serve kiosk for those wanting to get out faster. Second time was to apply for a PO Box and had no issues with that either.”
“UPDATE: This is still in my opinion one of the better run post offices. I called today about a problem and I actually got someone on the phone who helped me solve my problem. Thank you to the gentleman who helped my on the phone today at around 3:30-4:00 pm, September 16, 2024.
This is one of the better run post offices in my opinion. Went in on July 3rd after they had closed around 5:30PM. I needed to send a couple of packages out that day, but had missed the pickup and drop-off times due to unforeseen circumstances. This post office is one of the bigger locations and there was a gentleman and a lady working in the back employee parking lot sorting the packages to get into the truck. I asked them if I could just drop off the packages and they told me to just go ahead and put it in the box and that it would be taken care of. Thank you to them. The packages arrived safely to its' destination when it needed to. Also there is always multiple people working the front and the times I've gone, they have a person who works the lobby helping people with questions and concerns before standing in line to get helped which speeds up the line and for people who need to drop off packages but would like to get the drop off scan sheet scanned.”
“I had an awesome experience in this location today which was a surprise. It was my first time visiting this USPS office. Yesterday I went to another one trying to ship 2 pairs of shoes in one box to my friends in California which the rate is whooping $97.05! I decided to put the shoes in 2 boxes instead of one bigger box to save on shipping. And after checking the rate at this location, the cost total was still $40+. I asked the lady who worked there name Burley if there is a priority box that might fit the shoes and the shipping cost would be lower. She directed me to get a medium size box. Originally I didnt think it would be big enough to fit both shoes. But she skillfully and efficiently fit both shoes in the box! That saved me $10+ even after paying for the box. I appreciate her help and wish other staff working in USPS offices are as helpful.”

Kindly enough blaylock came into my mailroom and opened every single box to see if my package was misplace. We weren’t able to find it but appreciate her efforts and dedication to be a helpful problem solving person. She definitely deserves better to be honest. She’s the only reason I’m even giving them 4 stars.”
