“When I was shopping for a new sofa bed and living room swivel chair, several friends recommended Warehouse Showrooms for quality, good prices and service. They have a good variety of styles and sizes of sofas, and even choices for a smaller sofa bed. When it came to choosing fabrics for customizing my order, there were a wide variety of materials and patterns available with no increase in price for each unit. If I had wanted to choose something different from other designer lines and pay the extra cost, that was also possible. I found several choices that would serve. I was able to take home fabric samples two different times to see how they would look in my home and lighting, and all the staff I worked with had very knowledgeable and professional suggestions and comments about various colors and fabrics that raised considerations I hadn't thought of. I ended up choosing fabrics with great confidence that I really like. Likewise, the staff made excellent points to consider about construction and features of both the sofa bed and chair, and yet I never felt pressured to make a decision or to rush. Over two weeks I went back several times, and on each occasion was met with courtesy, good advice, and respect for my opinions and furniture needs. Finally, I found their prices very competitive, and both my items were on sale. I expect delivery in 2-3 months, a shorter time than other places doing custom orders. I saw other solid wood pieces, chairs and tables, with some lovely design elements, to consider in the future. I recommend them unreservedly.”

The employees were even kind enough to proactively load a piece of furniture into my car for me. Some of the individual items were clearly taken and packed from the store shelves, and all were extremely well-packed and protected. I was really just impressed by how nice the employees were and how they went above and beyond to make this a pleasant experience.I've also browsed this particular store once or twice and it's pretty well-stocked. World Market in general can be hit or miss, but mostly hit. I don't generally love the accessories or clothing or a lot of the artwork - to me, a lot of their items in these categories feel cheap (because they are), while their other goods are also inexpensive but don't feel or look like it. I still have the extremely affordable and attractive loveseat, dining table, and coffee table I bought there nearly a decade ago and all have held up miraculously. A couple more recent (and slightly more upscale) furniture purchases have also exceeded expectations, and I swear by some of their dishware as functional, quality, durable basics.”

“Nice place, in fact a very nice place. This is a antique store which is located one block north of King Street on Cameron St. in Old Town Alexandria Virginia. It is across the street from the backside of the Alexandria City Hall. I was really amazing at the volume of high quality antique furniture, painting, dinner etc, this place has. I fell in love with a 19th century desk from France. It's beautiful and in amazing shape. But at $14,000 it's a little rich for my blood. It would fit at all the more modern home I have. If I had one of the numerous 150 year old homes all over Old Town it would fit far better in one of those than in mine. The gentlemen working there the day we went was very knowledgeable on the merchandise in the store and was very happy to answer many of the questions we had. This store is something to see. You'll really be surprised at the number and of the high quality of the antiques in this for. It's really a fun and interesting place to shop. There is no doubt I'll be back here.”
