“I have been to this location at least twenty times and every employee at this branch is patient and kind. During the snowstorm when mail was not able to be delivered, they handled the chaos at the branch well. A package of mine was recently marked as delivered and not in my mail box. I filled out a report and received a phone call AND a resolution on the same day. The mail carrier knew which mailbox my package had been delivered to and was able to retrieve it. That's going above and beyond and I appreciate it!”
“I've been going to this Post Office for about a month now on an almost daily basis and I can say without a doubt it's the BEST USPS in Richmond and possibly the best I've ever been to. The clerks are always so nice and approachable. They've always treated me kindly and greet their customers, thanking them for stopping in. I wanted to leave this feedback because I think it needs to be recognized since happy employees are not that easy to find at most post offices I've been to. Thank you for your exceptional customer service!”

You might see a lot of negative reviews because of the former guy who manned this post office (tall, older guy). And let's be clear: That guy SUCKED. He was awful, rude, and sometimes cruel. BUT he is no longer there!! Firing him was the best decision USPS ever made. Now it's literally just Gerald. He runs this whole post office by himself - that's why the hours are so limited - and he is very nice. He's patient and helpful, and I'm leaving this review so that more people know the evil guy is NO LONGER there. It is now safe to return to this post office. Now we have Gerald.
4 stars instead of 5 just because the limited hours are kind of inconvenient. But once you realize it's literally JUST Gerald running it, it makes more sense.”
“Huge parking lot for such a small lobby. Easy to park and navigate, accessible as well. Small interior with space for about 4 customers inside the service lobby. They still can provide everything you might need. Staff was extremely efficient and friendly. They do close for lunch, so check hours before going.”
“i've only used this post office to ship packages, not receive anything, but my experience shipping has always been pleasant. employees are kind and patient even when i have a lot of packages i need help shipping, and every time i've been in here someone is at the counter waiting to help customers unlike some i've been to where you have to try to get someone's attention in another room which can be annoying. only thing that would make this post office better is a self service station!”
“I had two packages delivered by my postal worker in all this snow. She got stuck in the cul de sac and my husband and neighbor had to push her out. I hope she got home safe. To the dispatcher as bad as it was the mail could have been delivered the next day. My drivers are excellent. Not always an easy job.”

“I visited this post office to return three packages using the QR codes provided by the seller. My experience with the first clerk (34) was very disappointing. She stated that two of the QR codes did not work. I explained that these were the only QR codes I had been given and asked what she suggested I do. Her only response was that I needed to contact the seller for corrected codes. The entire interaction felt dismissive and unwelcoming. I even mentioned that the other clerk I usually get to help me had always been pleasant, friendly, and had never had an issue helping me with QR code returns. Since I wasn't receiving any assistance, I went to the self-service machine to try scanning the QR codes myself. I was able to get one QR code to scan and print a label, but unfortunately it generated the same tracking number as a previous package. Before I realized the mistake, I had already placed the package in the drop box. After noticing the duplicate tracking number, I got back in line. Fortunately, there was no one ahead of me, and I was helped by the other clerk (02). She immediately retrieved the package from the drop box, and, surprisingly, both QR codes scanned without any problems. She reprinted the correct labels and completed both transactions with professionalism, friendliness, and a genuine willingness to help. The difference in customer service between the two clerks was significant. Clerk 02 took the time to resolve the issue quickly and courteously, while Clerk 34 was dismissive, unfriendly, and made no effort to troubleshoot or assist in finding a solution. I appreciate Clerk 02's excellent customer service and believe she should be recognized for the positive experience she always provides.”
“I had to come in, my mailbox keys were changed , and wasn’t sure why, came in and spoke to a lady, didn’t get her name, such a sweetheart she was understanding about my concern and helped us. I wish I would have got her name, thank you!”

“Look. I’ve used this post office for 14 years+ and yes, it has its problems for sure. What place doesn’t? But Anne holds this place down. Thank you Anne for always being super helpful and taking care of us even when her employer sucks. If this location shut down… where would we go? To another location that’s just as bad? It’s the USPS, not this branch. They’re doing the best they can with the situation given to them.”

“Great experience with passport application walk-in. Ms. Carmisha guided us to Ms. Gracie. Ms Gracie took care of application submission. This location has photo service too. I would recommend going to this location for passport services walk-ins”

“Just moved to the area and I ship out A TON of packages. I first went to the USPS on Salder Place in Innsbrook and the man working there was overly nice to the man in front of my but as son as I got to the counter the entire attitude changed and he acted like I was a problem for him. I laughed in his face because of the obvious intentional behavior. I found the Mountain Road location and the woman at the front has been heplpful and pleasant every time I have gone in. Today she even used a translator app so she could help the man in front of me who didn't speak English to make sure she was able to get what he needed done correctly. Will only be using this post office because of her!”
