He used to have science diet, but they changed the ingredients and added chicken by-product. So I gave Pawsnickety a shot to find clean food and WOW! THEIR SELECTION IS HUGE! They have so much clean food for our fur babies ?? they're so much happier eating their food and their coat feels so much better! I'll never purchase my food from anywhere else. They really care about the quality of every product they select. I've also had a wonderful experience with every employee Ive spoken with. I love animal lovers and I can tell each one of them is an animal lover. We always talk about our pets. I literally drive from suffolk to shop here and it's absolutely worth it!

I am one of the volunteers with Lil Roar Cat Rescue at the adoption center inside of Petsmart. The management and staff are very supportive and helpful with our kitties. We are all so happy to have such a great relationship with Petsmart and the best customers and adopters ever. A special thank you to all of the wonderful customers who donate much of the food and treats that Little Roar cats enjoy every day!

3700 Hampton Blvd, Norfolk*Visiting from out of town for 2 weeks, would return if I were stationed here.* They were able to get my girl in for a bath, de-shed, toenails, and ears with just a few days notice. Not only does Rose smell amazing but they actually took the time to de-shed her (we’ve done this service at other places and hair just continues to fly off of her). Alanna was amazing and cannot recommend enough to anyone searching for a great place for their pet. Their small Sshop also had a lot of safe, minimal ingredient snacks for your fur baby. Hope this review continues to help others find, I base my selection of places solely on recent reviews ♥️

846 W 45th St, NorfolkMy dog and I freaking love Happy Tails. I have taken him to other boarding places and he would never get excited to go. When taking him to Happy Tails though, I can see a HUGE difference with him that tells me how much he loves it. As soon as we turn down the road to it, he is spazzing out with excitement because he knows where he is going. He gets so excited to see all the employees and when I pick him up, he always looks irritated that I got him and he doesn't want to leave. He is a very high energy dog and when I bring him home, he is out like a light for the whole night. The employees have been nothing but amazing every time I talk with them. You also can't beat their pricing as well.

They always send videos of my dogs so I can see how much fun they're having. I've heard many horror stories about problematic daycare centers, so it's such a relief to find a center that is so open and transparent about what goes on at the facility.

Friendship Veterinary Hospital
1231 W Little Creek Rd, NorfolkI used Friendship Vet for 3 years while living in Virginia. While the vet techs go above and beyond, and the main Vet is nice enough, the front desk receptionists are less than nice. It really doesn’t matter which one you speak to, they are incredibly short and very rude on the phone. When calling to make an appointment or asking for a refill on a prescription for my dog it’s like I’m inconveniencing them in their job. In person, they are nicer to your face, but after 3 years of dealing with them to make appointments and being met with a bad attitudes on the phone… it just gets old. However, the vet techs deserve all the praise and more! They are super kind, very attentive, and really listen to your concerns. I’d recommend this place solely based off of them.

Also, I was babysitting my son's cat who has diabetes. Dr. Capps was able to attach a blood glucose monitor on his back so I could keep track of his daily blood sugar levels and use the proper amount of insulin. Dr. Capps reviewed the daily glucose graphs and gave advice for his care each day.

The cost is lower than vets in town, and they take our USAA pet insurance. The staff are easy to deal with and are willing to work with you if you can't exactly meet the appointment time. Lab results that weren't required to be sent to another facility came back 2 hours after they were collected, which was amazing.

I'm lucky to be calling Norfolk home for the last 30+ years. They are located across from Doumars. If you love, coffee and tea or just wanna visit the shop I highly recommend this place. Before stepping into the place, you can smell the coffee roasting as soon as you step out of your car. Talk about some free smells right there. I'm a huge fan of their seasonal loose tea and most recently I had what is called Sleepy Hollow which is a pumpkin spice chai tea. This particular visit was to pick out some teas. My sister-in-law would enjoy. She's a huge peppermint fan. I went with this candy cane loose tea. She also enjoys Matcha and they had like three different types of Matcha powders. I went bold with a blue-raspberry Matcha powder. I enjoy going into this local shop when I get a chance. This family owned place happily assists in all my coffee and tea adventures.

My potato-chip encrusted flounder was spot-on: large serving and moist and delicious. My wife's halibut (evening special) was likewise delish as were our friends' scallops and duck cassoulet. Drinks were excellent, prices are very fair and service was efficient and friendly. Slight hiccup with my wife's order was remedied, most graciously. We'll be back.

I love this place I've taken many of my friends here and they love it as well. The food is homemade and just tastes amazing, it is also family owned. The service is great, the staff are welcoming and as I was leaving multiple employees told me to have a good night/to take care. Very sweet. The environment of the restaurant is nice and decorated simple but good. I recommend you visit!

The atmosphere is inviting and looks like a great place to just hang out. Their coffee and baked goods are delicious. My absolute favorite thing about this coffee shop, is that the drinks are consistent! They taste the same every time, I love love love that! So good!
I've come back to add to my review a year later. This place is still the best. Although, it's Saturday morning and I had too much fun last night. I have no intentions of leaving this bed. All I want right now is an iced Apelu Island latte ? I wish I could order some Apelu off of Uber Eats. That's my one and only gripe. Love y'all so much!

1510 Colley Ave, NorfolkSome of the best gelato I’ve ever had, even compared to actual Italian gelato in Italy. Every flavor I’ve ever tried blows me away! I can’t go back to regular grocery store stuff, or ice cream, not even Ben & Jerry’s. The best thing about living nearby is being able to take home pints to keep in the freezer! :) I’ve been in love with this place since I was in Highschool. Moved away for over a decade, came back, was so excited that Strawberry Fields was still around and still so amazing. I highly recommend any of the mint flavors if you’re a mint person - always tastes so herbal and fresh and literally have never had anything like it. Also always love the seasonal flavors. Was sitting here enjoying the holidays and felt inspired to write a review. <3

You'll get all types of advice on all things dog and everything else and tons of kisses from all breeds. My dog loves it. No gadgets or gimmicks, but there are pools for the dogs in the summer and a fresh water pump and bowls all year round.
