“My husband, my friend and I (all in our 70s) were traveling from MD to TN last week when our car broke down near Salem, VA on 81. The local tow truck driver who helped us called Enterprise (which had no vehicles available) and Hertz for us to try to get us a rental.
Hertz was closing at that time (5:00 pm) but Scott agreed to stay until we got there. We were back on track in about 20 minutes, and we are so grateful that Scott went the extra mile to serve us! (The Malibu we rented was really nice as well!)

“Had a great experience! Don't have a major credit card, got rid of all those! So I did have to pay a deposit but that's fine! I had to extend the rental two different times and it was very simple although I paid half of what the whole week was for one night which I think is kind of well I didn't like it let's just say that. And then I ended up having to run it for another week anyway. But overall the first Enterprise I went to actually on Williamson, the guy was not helpful he was kind of a smart-ass. So of course irritated me because we were in bad situation trying to go out of town and our car went kaput! I rented an SUV online and I understand sometimes they don't have the availability but he had no intention of helping me look for one anywhere else he said he had a small compact car I could have and I was willing to take it at that point but I thought no. And his attitude just made me mad. So I ended up calling the Enterprise on Melrose and they were awesome! I wish I remembered the girl's name because she was great and she got me in an SUV and away we went! As a matter of fact my car broke down again last night so I'm going to have to go back in the morning so I shouldn't have taken it back 2 days ago LOL! I wish I know they have a point system but I wish there was something like a frequent renter or discount or something like that I don't know I haven't thought about it enough to come up with a good name. Anyway, the point is I knew somebody would be willing to help me and I found her. So if you ever have issues, and are in Roanoke Virginia, go to the Enterprise on Melrose! As a matter of fact the last time I tried to rent a car I went to the one closest to me, the Enterprise at Tanglewood and they wouldn't under any circumstances rent me a car at all because I didn't have a credit card. I showed him where it said that the deposit situation and everything and could have cared less. I was getting ready to book there for in the morning but now I'm scared to I don't want any hassles because I'm already annoyed that my car is messed up again and I just took the rental back so I guess I'm going back to Melrose! Happy to! And also the guy that checked us in like when we took the car back he was awesome too and I don't remember his name either which I hate so I'll try to figure that out and come back and update it!”
“I am very pleased with Enterprise employees and vehicles I deal with throughout each year with my travels. The cars are always clean and no complaints insofar as my rentals from Enterprise. Employees are always so polite and helpful.”
“Me and my wife were trying to rent a car were told no by all the other rental car companies. Told us that we were just out of luck but this Enterprise made sure that we had a vehicle to take our children to the DC zoo and we had a great vacation. I would definitely recommend this Enterprise to anyone especially families. Very friendly service the employee that helped us made sure that we got a vehicle when we couldn't get one anywhere else. Hopefully the management will see that this employee goes above and beyond. I wish I knew the employee's name so I could put it on here and let everyone know what a great person he is. “I bought my van from them and I drop it off,and they go over it and fixes and gets it inspected. The owner is very nice and helpful when you are looking to buy a vehicle”
“Flew in late. Missed my morning flight so had to book another one. Came in about 10:30pm. Got to the counter and the lady was very understanding and very helpful. Got the car. The next day I got an invoice for the vehicle being returned. But I still had it for 2 more weeks. Called customer service and they got it sorted out. Very friendly customer service. When I returned the vehicle the same issue happened. The Manager was very helpful. Got to the bottom of the issue.”

“It did not start out good I had a reservation for a rental that I had reserved 4 days in advance and upon arriving the lady was not exactly welcoming and then said I could not pay with the card I had for over a year paid with at that establishment She then proceeds to tell me I had not rented thru them that she had been there 3 yrs But I can show you where I rented a car and continued to for over a year I stopped in April of 2024 but but I was not going to argue with someone who obviously was already in an argumentative mood about how long does it work there that was beside the point anyway so I told her I would go put money on another card but she said they would accept because it was just not worth arguing but when I got back in less than 30 minutes she had she had rented my rental car to someone else. Search for the next 5 hours this is how my day went I would check another Enterprise make a reservation but then I would get there and they would have no cars I'm done this for 5 hours I even called the reservation number and still was giving confirmation numbers only to get somewhere and they're not be a car by 5:30 that evening I realized they were all closed even though I really needed that rental that day I had no choice I was going to be late for a funeral but there was nothing I could do the next morning Enterprise at Tanglewood did have me a car unlike are the enterprises that I dealt with the day before this one actually came through don't remember the young guy's name that checked me in but he was awesome and the lady Charlotte was wonderful that checked my car over I got my full deposit back and this is where I will be going next time I need to rent a vehicle cuz I'm like the others they genuinely seemed to care”
“Budget car rental gave the beat price. Clean reliable car. Sweet agent. Only drawback: best price of 5 rental counters at ROA so it was kind of funny: 40 minute wait to reach counter, while all other rental companies' agents were twiddling g their thumbs.”

“ALICIA GOT IT DONE! We rented a vehicle from Charlotte airport dollar rental and unfortunately 2 hours into our 12 hour ride to Boston, we got a nail in the tire and the tire went flat. We changed the tire ourselves and proceeded to Roanoke airport to exchange the vehicle. When we got there, there was a serious miscommunication between customer service roadside assistance and the desk at the Roanoke airport and we arrived to the location having NO VEHICLES AVAILABLE. The employee at the desk, Alicia went above and beyond and was so patient and understanding Of our situation and desperate, urgent need to get back home to Boston. She found us a vehicle! We were very grateful she was able and willing to assist us but PSA FUTURE REFERENCE FOR RENTAL CUSTOMERS:::::: CALL THE LOCATION BEFORE GOING TO PICK UP A CAR OR MAKE AN EXCHANGE! Just because the roadside assistance, customer service say there is a a vehicle, CALL THE LOCATION AND CHECK!
