3303 Commercial Avenue, AnacortesWe recently had to put down our cat who had cancer. We happened to be in the area as we travel full time in our RV. The staff, particularly Dr. Knutzen, was amazing and caring. She answered our questions, gave us options, and walked us through the procedure. They even let us use the backyard to have our final moments, which was perfect. You don't always get this lucky with vets while travelling and we were happy they were here for us considering the cirucmstances.

I brought my mini Bernedoodle puppy ( Nova) there for a 4 week on/off leash training & board, recently It was the absolute best decision I could have made for her. Of course I was nervous, even with my extensive research still… I was a new puppy mom and had reservations about her spending a month away, so young. TMS quickly put my heart and mind at rest with the consistency of their communication and updates throughout the process and her stay. They answered any questions I had and honestly, I asked them some of the same questions over and over.
Nova already had some fundamental training at home with me before she started her stay but she needed a more professional and knowledgeable approach then I could provide.
The positive reinforcement technique that TMS stands by, is evident in the successful results, they really are the absolute REAL DEAL, total package.
I cannot say enough and honestly, words fail to express how grateful Nova and I are for what we have been given… a sustainable solid foundation.
Nova confidently executes commands and thrives in the structure of the training that TMS has instilled in her and myself.
Thank you TMS, thank you Stephanie, thank you Isabel, thank you staff… Nova is looking forward to to her next endeavor with you!

We arrived in Anacordes a few hours early for our ferry to San Juan Island and decided to go to cosmic veggies to grab breakfast while we waited. Great service, delicious food and a fun environment with games and activities to do while you wait for your food. We loved the biscuits so much we ended up getting a bag of them to-go to eat over our vacation.

Dockside Dogs Gourmet Hot Dogs
501 Commercial Avenue Ste A, AnacortesThis place does gluten free hot dog buns and they are so good! Mine don’t fall apart at all. I got the anacortes and boy I’m glad I did. The cream cheese reminded me of a bagel and the crushed chips added the perfect crunch.
My one comment is that the food took a long time to come out when there were only 3 tables. So take that into consideration.
But I would come back again!

We ordered the chicken wings, a Caesar salad with prawns, the rockfish sandwich and the Banh Mi. Everything was DELICIOUS! Our waiter was really friendly and had a great vibe. The hostess was very sweet as well. The atmosphere is cozy and laid back. Definitely will be coming back here our next time through Anacortes!

Very decent ingredients in the buns, and you can tell everything is handmade. The aunty at the food truck has that familiar, homey vibe, like one of my own family. We also took away 5 buns home for later. Had I lived close by, I’d probably be feeding my whole family on this food every day.

The oysters were fantastic, with some great toppings on offer and a lovely presentation. The crew (Becky and Stuart) were a blast, and the energy they brought really added to our guests’ enjoyment. You could also bathe in this. Just the best! My wife and I split the Garlic Brie Burger. 1/3 lb. hamburger with grass fed, organic ground beef topped with roasted garlic cloves, Brie, toasted garlic aioli, pickled red onions and lettuce. According to the menu...I love this one, but perhaps not the best for a date since the garlic is pronounced!

Interesting decor and not noisy. The desert tray was WAY more than expected. We ordered three among us to share and all were delighted.

Guemes Island General Store
7885 Guemes Island Road, AnacortesGuemes Island General Store is one of our favorite spots for an easy day trip. We usually leave our car in Anacortes near the ferry terminal and just walk on. This ferry is separate from the ferries that go to the other San Juan Islands.
After a short ferry ride of only about five minutes, it’s an easy walk to the restaurant. We enjoy having a nice meal there and taking in the beautiful view.
We’ve visited several times, and we always enjoy the experience. It’s a simple, relaxing getaway and a great way to spend part of the day.

Lucky Chopsticks
1407 Commercial Ave, AnacortesAfter a long string of take-outs from here, we dined AT Lucky Chopsticks and, man, it was a good call. The take out is always solid but table-served sizzling is outstanding. We've always enjoyed the food from LC but dining in takes it up a notch. The ambiance is, admittedly, not the reason write home but it's tidy and comfortable. Service was super as well: courteous, on the ball and pleasant. Just a really solid and delicious dining experience. Definitely one we will repeat soon!

The Cats Meow
803 4th Street, AnacortesThis place is wonderful. I got my cat spayed with the free spay/neuter clinic. They chipped my cat, have her flea meds and pain medicine for several days after her surgery. This is a wonderful organization that takes care of community cats. I love and appreciate them.
