“What a wonderful surprise! From the outside, I have to admit that Silk Plant Warehouse looks quite dated and could definitely use a little refresh, so I really didn’t know what to expect. But the moment we walked in, it was a completely different story. Wow! The showroom is beautiful, upscale, incredibly well arranged, and filled with gorgeous pieces. We were helped by Julia, who was absolutely fantastic from the moment we arrived until we left with our plant. She was warm, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely helpful. Another lovely lady also helped us, unfortunately I didn’t catch her name, but she was equally wonderful. We ended up choosing this absolutely stunning plant, and I couldn’t be happier with it. It looks incredibly realistic, the quality is excellent, and the price was very reasonable for something of this size and quality. I might have taken a star off for the exterior, but the experience inside, and especially the exceptional service, more than made up for it. Five stars without hesitation. We will definitely be back!”

“My fiancee and I were looking to purchase a new sofa for the first time in our lives and we came across this place after finding some positive reviews online. Rupi was a pleasure in assisting us to find a sectional sofa we absolutely adore. We love that it's a small family business and that the sofa we found was made in Canada!”

“Absolutely amazing place! It is a family owned business, and you can truly feel the care and pride they put into it. This store has been here for decades. The store has such an incredible selection - especially the jewelry. They have such a beautiful and diverse collection that it’s impossible to leave without finding something you love. If you visit, make sure you give yourself enough time because there is so much to see. The owner and his son were beyond kind. They were so welcoming, patient and attentive. The owner took the time to answer questions, offer guidance, show me everything I was looking for and have good conversations. He was such a delight to talk to. His son was just as wonderful. He was incredibly polite, helpful and warm. He took his time showing me things as well. It was honestly such a wonderful experience coming into the store. I’m truly obsessed with their jewelry collection. I’ll definitely be returning for more!”

“Richard did an amazing job stretching two extremely large artworks for us. Pricing is the best in town and the turnaround was the quickest we found. He also helped hang both pieces in our home, which we really appreciated. While he was here, he noticed another piece of art we hadn’t got around to hanging and put that up for us as well (at no extra charge). Professional, easy to deal with, and the finished result looks fantastic. Highly recommend.”

“I've come here a few times on a few separate trips. as of posting, my most recent time here was in late August 2025. the store has a lot of goods at mostly cheap prices. their dishware is really nice and/or cute, and their affordable matcha-making instruments are a godsend. the cashier I interacted with on my last visit was very nice too. the only reason why I didn't include one star is because this is the only store location in Alberta! I live in nearby Edmonton, and it's really hard to justify coming over to this location unless I'm vacationing in or around Calgary. I know Oomomo is planning to open a store in YEG again, and I really hope they do for easier access.”

“I recently ordered a desk at Kit Interior Objects, and while the desk came into some unfortunate supply issues and was delayed (a few times). The team at Kit was supper friendly and keep me in the loop throughout the experience, I never once had to followup with them. And in the end they helped put the desk together and deliver it to me. My experience, while longer than anticipated was beyond positive. Truly a wonderful group of people, outstanding customer support, and a willingness to go above and beyond. PS I love the desk and it was worth the wait.”

“Bailey is a truly wonderful designer, and working with her has completely transformed our experience of furnishing our new home. We had been struggling for months to make decisions and bring everything together in a way that felt cohesive and reflective of our style. From the very beginning, Bailey made the process feel manageable and even enjoyable. She has an incredible eye for color and helped us choose the perfect palette to create a warm, inviting atmosphere throughout the house. Beyond just aesthetics, she thoughtfully selected pieces that balance beauty and comfort.”

“Amazing store that has a wide selection of quality products at competitive prices. Some of the items are truly unique to the Calgary market and there are many wonderful gifts for anyone on your list. I always find something appropriate for the season or my specific kitchen needs. Staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful, no pressure sales, just good info and suggestions. They know the products they sell. For the reviewer who dropped an item and complained about having to pay for the breakage, that is standard policy and yes, the other stores mentioned in the review have that policy as well.”

“I expected the same kind of mall store experience as most other stores. Not the case! We were greeted immediately, asked what I was looking for and Alicia just went to town grabbing dresses that might fit the bill. I did nothing 😂 Her colleague also assisted, they checked in the back for more options, helped me zip up when required and gave honest opinions. I ended up buying 2 dresses and I love them both. Amazing experience and I highly recommend for dress shopping. I’m will be returning for other items like work clothes and vacation clothes. Excellent all around!”

“I live in SE Calgary and usually shop at the Heritage location, where Kirby is always amazing. I was purchasing a floor model, so I was directed to the Westhills location to pick up the second item I needed. Ana welcomed me so warmly from the moment I walked in. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and never made me feel pressured to buy anything. I honestly went in for one item and somehow left with over $200 more in purchases—and a new Urban Barn friend! She made the entire experience so enjoyable that the drive was absolutely worth it. Her coworker was wonderful as well, and together they provided exceptional customer service. It’s rare to find people who make shopping this enjoyable. If you’re lucky enough to have Ana and her coworker help you, you’re in great hands. Thank you both for making my visit such a positive experience. I’ll definitely be back! Laura Renew Glow Laser”
