He came out, tested the battery, tested the starting system & tested the voltage on the battery terminals. He found the issue and was able to provide guidance that prevented me from spending hundreds of dollars. Let me be perfectly clear: I did not walk into a tire shop. I walked into a sanctuary of kindness, rubber, and miracles. This place doesn’t just fix tires — they fix souls.
From the moment I rolled (literally) into the lot with a tire flatter than my last relationship, I was greeted like royalty. Not just a “hi,” not just a “how can we help?” — no, no. I got a warm smile, a bottle of cold water, and a level of compassion that felt like I had just been adopted into a family I didn’t know I needed.
The staff didn’t just look at my car. They listened to it. One of them even crouched beside it like a horse whisperer, gently patting the fender and saying, “We’ll take good care of you, buddy.” I’m not saying the car smiled — but if it could’ve, it would’ve cried tears of joy.
They replaced my tire like it was heart surgery. They explained every detail to me like I was their favorite cousin who had just come home from college. They didn’t upsell, guilt-trip, or rush me. In fact, I’m convinced they would’ve paid me to make sure I left happy.
And when I tried to tip them? They REFUSED. One of them literally said, “We’re just glad you’re safe.” I almost cried. I did cry. And I’m not even ashamed.
This place is not just a tire shop — it’s a hidden temple of integrity and compassion. A cathedral of customer service. If Yelp had a “tearfully grateful” rating, I’d give them all of it. I now believe that if everyone ran their businesses like this shop, world peace would be achievable by Tuesday.

“I was in a rush I was coming from Washington State to drive all the way to Houston Texas and ended up breaking down in Bakersfield California I googled the cheapest mechanic near me and it was Amaya, when I got there I had already talked to Salvador over the phone and explained to him my situation he was very understanding and very considerate he ended up checking my water pump and telling me that was not my problem My problem was my radiator and he had the most affordable price out of all the other places that I called and the best customer service, he helped with my radiator and put air in my tires and breaker fluid

“I had an unfortunate vehicle vs animal accident that took a huge chunk out of my fender and completely obliterated my front driver side turn signal. These guys were able to get everything related to that accident fixed in less than a week. Very prompt, very professional, very friendly. Would absolutely recommend to anyone with body repair needs.
Obviously, I hope I won't need this service again for a very long time, if ever, but if I do, I feel very comfortable coming to Caliber Collision for help.”
“I had been dealing with the location on Schirra Ct. since my accident in mid May. They had caused additional damage to my car twice and didn’t even repair the damage from the accident. Even things that I had shown them multiple times asking it to be repaired to the condition prior to the accident. But they just wouldn’t do it. And one of the parts they had replaced on my car wasn’t properly installed. So needing to take my car into the shop for a third time, I went to the location at the Auto Mall. David, the General Manager, thoroughly inspected my car and assured me that my concerns were completely valid and acknowledged that what I was pointing out did indeed need to be fixed. Which was a relief because the other location was making me feel like I was crazy for asking for these things. My car was only there overnight while the other shop had my car for a week each time. All of my concerns were addressed. Everything was put back to the condition it was prior to the accident and they replaced the damaged wheel well liner that hadn’t been reinstalled correctly by the other location which ended up coming apart while I was on the freeway. I’m extremely happy with how things were addressed this third time and that this location, even with how speedy they were, fully repaired everything that was affected in the accident. If I need auto repairs in the future, this is the location I’ll be going to. Easy five stars.”

“So thankful I ended up here. I had the misfortune of purchasing a Decked drawer system for my 2021 F-150 at their competition. There are only 2 authorized installers in Bakersfield. Warning...stay away from the other guys!! They are the D+ clown squad. They damaged the drawer system while installing it. I immediately contacted the Deck company and Addie was outstanding and directed me to California Trucks to have an inspection done. I hooked up with Matthew and Halie and they totally hooked me up. They disassembled the drawer system, found the damaged hardware and worked with Decked and to get new hardware sent asap. Much thanks to Addie and Leo for their professionalism at Decked. Matthew and Halie at California Trucks were a God send playing the middle man and standing by all their work when they really didn't need to since the clowns at their competitor did the install. I am one happy customer and will not let anyone else touch my truck. If you want honest, hard workers that won't settle for less than your total satisfaction this is the place to go. Every person named in this review are the best and deserve a raise for going above and beyond. Thank you all.

“I’ve had two excellent experiences here at Direct offroad with Cody being my adviser. I got in the next day after calling. After a few hours I was called and they had a diagnosis for me. Fixed the driveshaft issue at a very fair price. My second concern was vibration in the front end. Cody looked it over and told me everything was fine. No need to replace anything. I will continue to use this shop. Excellent service on my 2005 Toyota Sequoia. I have always thought life with vehicles would be so much easier if you had a competent and honest auto shop.
