The staff gave me the grand tour of the pet wash like I was some kind of dog-washing rookie (which, let’s be real, I am), and showed me how to bribe my dog into climbing the stairs to the tub. They handed me an apron, because they clearly knew my dog likes to bathe me too! and even gave him a plastic collar to keep his ‘real’ one dry. They told me to just leave the mess behind. I felt like a monster for even thinking about it, but they were so nice I caved and left everything, like a guilty criminal sneaking away from the scene.
Then they showered my dog with so many treats that he walked out a pound heavier, practically waddling. To top it all off, they gave me a free token for buying three, like I needed more reasons to come back. And the little girl with chestnut eyes in corduroy pants? Total pro and probably the brains behind that pet wash. It was the most luxurious dog bath experience ever, though I’m pretty sure I still owe them an apology for the mess I didn’t clean up! Rockie says thanks too!

1260 Lake Blvd #118, DavisI have a nonprofit rescue. Picked up a dog that was severely matted. She was horrible. Stopped by Feldspar on my way home to see if i could get her in. They took one look at her and asked one of the groomers if she could take on one more. She said yes and I left this poor girl there. Absolutely no hesitation on their part. This dog medically needed the mats removed asap. Two hours later I received a call and I picked up a different dog. Thank you. Thank you. Wonderful and caring people.

4615 Cowell Blvd, DavisWe have not been with this office very long as we recently moved to Davis, but so far I am happy with the services. We have cats and a dog. The staff are welcoming. Dr. Phillips and her techs have been amazing and the orthopedic surgeon they use was also fabulous. Their prices are average to high compared to what I am used to, but I appreciate the extra touches (reminders, follow-up phone calls, ability to text a question). This is the furthest vet in Davis from us, but after some research I'm glad I chose them and I'm sure our fur babies agree. The initial visit deposit may seem frustrating, but it protects their appointment times which I can appreciate as a regular client.

Sadly it was time to say goodbye to our well loved old lab. They came to the house and with care and consideration aided us through the difficult time.

The doctors and all of the students were very professional and gave her the best care we could have wanted for her.
In her passing we were asked if we would like a paw print. I was expecting an ink print on paper. We got a plaster casting of her paw.
UC Davis has gone above everything we could have expected in her care and in her passing.

The whole team clearly loves animals, takes excellent care of pets, and the prices are amazing for the services provided!I've been using Kelsey's since 2017, and I have had an excellent experience each time they've cared for both my previous and current cats. My previous cat had specific medical needs toward the end of her life, and Kelsey and the team did a great job of making sure she got her medication and special food so that she was safe and comfortable. My current cat is extremely shy about strangers, but she is a huge fan of everyone on the team—we get many adorable pictures of her demanding attention and playtime from them when we're gone.The fact that Kelsey's is licensed, insured, and bonded is the final piece that makes KCC awesome. Knowing that Kelsey and the team take safety and security seriously means I have total peace of mind when leaving a pet in their care.
