Whether we need chicken feed, cat food, cat litter, or other pet and ranch supplies, this is usually our first stop. One of the biggest reasons we keep coming back is the convenience. It's close to home, well stocked, and saves us from having to drive farther to find what we need.
The staff has always been one of the best parts of shopping here. Everyone we've interacted with has been incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely willing to help. It's nice to walk into a store where the employees greet you, answer questions, and make you feel like they appreciate your business.
The selection is also very good. They carry a wide variety of products for pets and farm animals, making it easy to find everything we need in one trip.
The only downside for us is the pricing. We've noticed that many items tend to cost a little more than they do at other stores in the area. We still shop here because of the convenience and the excellent customer service, but if the prices were a little more competitive, we would probably do even more of our shopping here.
Overall, Western Ranch is a clean, well-stocked store with outstanding employees and a great selection of pet and ranch supplies. The higher prices are really the only thing keeping it from being a five-star experience, but it's still a business we're happy to support and will continue visiting.

Elizabeth, (a long time tech at Dr. A's) is so extremely knowledgeable and she really loves animals.As busy as vet clinics have been over the past few years, Dr. A never rushes the appointment. I've had a few Cavalier King Charles Spaniels that I took to Dr. A over the past 10 years and he has treated them so well. I also have had cats that saw Dr. A. He is very gentle with them and his techs do a phenomenal job. I recently sent a few family members to see Dr. A and his team...they were also really happy with the care their dogs received.

Dr. Singh and the entire team has always taken the best care of my dog, they always take their time answering all of my questions and concerns, never make me feel rushed. Dr. Singh really takes his time and has a very great way about making you feel heard, but easing your mind. I have had a few bad vet experiences in Socal... I can tell you the service and care received here is like none other, to the point, we use to live up here, live in Socal, but I literally come up every few months to keep Dr. Signh and the team. I know without a doubt my dog will be taken care of and we won't be turned away. After ER visits inn socal and trying to follow up with a "primary there" and was turned away.. without hesitation we made the drive back up here so Alice could be seen by her normal vet here, Dr.Singh. The entire team here loves and cares about your baby, and if you tell them the situation and they think your baby needs to come in sooner, they will try their best (within capabilities, busy is busy and they are only human, people need to understand sometimes, in order to give your pet the best care and if they are busy, there just isn't an opening) to get you in as soon as they can. Dr.Singh also took care of our cat, that passed two years ago. We lost our cat to large Cell lymphoma, and while waiting on the biopsy when she started to really not do well, Dr gave us prednisone and gabepentin to help her, and help keep her comfortable. Even though he said usually he waits for the diagnosis, he understood she wasn't doing well and he gave it to us early to help keep her comfortable. Dr.Singh is someone you and your babys can trust. Also shoutout to Esparanza who is always smiles, happy to see us, understands we travel to and from here from Socal, always gets us in, encourages me to send photos if I am ever worried and away, and also handles my 1 million questions, but always makes me feel heard, validated and never rushes me. Honestly don't understand the couple of bad reviews, I think people forget this clinic IS busy, because they are good at what they do. If someone isn't getting back to you promptly, it's not because they don't care, every baby is important. Every baby matters. But like human hospitals, some babys need a little more attention, some cases come before others because they are more urgent as inn time could be the difference between life and death. Maybe as a registered nurse, I understand the concept of everyone is important, but some people/pets may need to be prioritized first, but that doesn't mean they will not get you in or don't care. Don't let the couple of bad reviews steer you away, it should speak for itself that they are always busy and full and that I literally drive from Orange County here when we no longer live up here so my dog can be seen by a trusted, caring vet. In January, we came here to get my dogs yearly dental because I don't trust any other vet to put my dog under, when VCA said she needed an endoscopy, I said nope, we will follow up with Dr.Singh, and if he thinks she needs it, he will be the only one doing it. I can ramble a little, and the clinic knows that and is patient with me, anyhow I can go on for years on why you should choose this vet to be your primary vet.

Dr. Jassar is amazing and genuinely cares about both pets and their owners. He never pushes unnecessary tests or medications just to make a quick buck—he’s extremely knowledgeable, honest, and always willing to work with you and what’s best for your pet.
The staff is just as wonderful. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever encountered a single rude person here. Everyone is incredibly kind, welcoming, and truly loves on your fur baby like their own.
I always feel a little anxious bringing my pit mix in, since people can sometimes be fearful (even though he’s a total love), but the staff didn’t think twice. They were absolutely amazing with him and made us both feel so comfortable.

I was really hesitant to hire someone to just check on him daily. I was almost ready to cancel my trip when on a whim, I decided to see if there was such thing as cat boarding and if there was any around me. I found Happy Campers and their prices were very reasonable. I decided to book a 10 night stay for my cat. I wasn't sure how he was going to like it, but he did really well! I actually just booked him a short stay this past weekend and he'll be having an extended vacation while I am on a work trip. Happy Campers was a lifesaver! Bonus, they offer military and Healthcare discounts!! Could not recommend them enough!

We took Jango from San Jose , CA. To Vacaville , Ca. Denise’s name came up highly recommended by several of the training Companies. Jango loved it. Her & Richard Shepherd worked with him . She also took him out to Socialize Him. So we picked him up & when he was 9 months old-1 yr. He went again & he learned so much stuff. Well we did. He would Sit,Stay,Come,Down, Search,( even out doors as they let him track), Heel. You name it he does it.Having a 110 lb. GSD is like having an extra member of our family. Never any problems w/ him . The difference it makes having a Trained GSD is Tremendous. He will even leave the MaineCoon Cats in our home alone. He does play with 1 of them .We learned we are the Master & he does what we say. There are 3 of us & he minds all of us w/ commands. If it were not for Pinnacle Pup Dog Training We couldn’t have done this by ourselves.They are loving, gentle, & really work w/ the dog & Masters. Pinnacle Pup Dog Training is THE BEST . After 2 years Denise is always a phone ? call away to answer any questions I have . Now That’s an Awesome Company! 155 Browns Valley Pkwy, VacavilleOn a warm afternoon in Vacaville, we decided to stop by Hokulia Shave Ice at 155 Browns Valley Parkway, and it turned out to be the perfect way to cool off. This little spot offers an incredible variety of flavors, and just browsing the menu was an adventure in itself. You can stick with classics or get creative by blending flavors, which makes each visit unique.
Joshua chose Bubblegum and Cherry, a bright and fun combination that tasted as good as it looked. I went with Pineapple topped with Li-Hing Powder, which was both refreshing and delightfully tangy. The ice was finely shaved, soft, and fluffy—just the way authentic shave ice should be—allowing the flavors to soak in perfectly with every bite.
Prices are very reasonable, and you can choose between a “short board” or a “long board.” We opted for the short board, which was more than enough to satisfy. Service was quick and efficient, with the attendant preparing orders with speed while still being friendly.
There are benches nearby where you can sit and enjoy your treat or wait comfortably while it’s being made. Hokulia Shave Ice is truly a summer gem, and we’ll definitely be back before the season ends!

As someone who is originally from Germany, finding authentic German pastries here in California felt really special -- and it got even better when I found out the owner is actually from a neighboring village in Germany! Everything in the bakery looked absolutely delicious. We tried a quiche and a sweet pastry and both were amazing. They also have pretzels, which I'm very excited to try next time. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even nicer. The bakery is located right in downtown Vacaville, so it's a perfect spot to sit outside on the plaza, enjoy your coffee, and have a pastry. The food tasted fantastic and we will definitely be coming back. Such a wonderful find!
