It’s a nice place I only ever go with family if I happen to be driving with them when they need goat or chicken food. I like how inside the feeding machines for chickens are all heavy duty and USA made that’s pretty cool. They also carry lots of smaller local brands stuff for supplies which is great. I don’t know much about farms but what I’ve learned this place seems like an amazing resource to have.

It's the closest to my home, sure, but the employees are so kind and helpful and a good selection of food/toys/necessities, I'd go the extra mile for it. They have great deals if you buy in bulk (the one we always do is buy 3, get the 4th free with litter) and the prices overall are resonable. The parking can be a pain but that's just because of how the plaza is set up. Clean store with friendly faces. Definitely recommend stopping here for all your pet needs :)

I’ve seen a lot of vets over the years, and none of them have been as kind and down to earth as Dr. Sasha. During the exam, she sat on the ground with my cats and was giving them all the pets and love while she was talking to me about their health history. I’ve never seen my cat so calm in someone else’s arms. Many, MANY vets have commented on my cats weight, but none did it with as much kindness and genuine concern as Dr. Sasha. I wish more human doctors could be this way! Highly recommend!

We’ve gotten in and out relatively quickly every time. On one visit, the vet I worked with downplayed my tuxedo cat’s major anxiety (he always pants, cries, and pees himself when he’s out in a carrier), but on my recent visit, the vet prescribed him gabapentin, for which I am extremely grateful.

We got one-on-one training when she was really young, and it helped us work on things like leash pulling, jumping, and resource guarding. Now that she's older, we've taken her to probably 20 different classes through the Hound Culture membership, and each one has been a positive and productive experience.
These people know dogs, and I would recommend them to anyone setting out on the rewarding but often challenging journey of training a dog.

4417 Baron Ave, SacramentoAmerican River Canine saved our family! About two years ago, my fiancé and I adopted a German Shepherd named Bear from the Sacramento SPCA. Bear was, and still is, an energetic, fun-loving, sweet dog. He just wasn't friendly towards other dogs or cats. Bear would growl, lunge, and chase any other animal near him. Walking him just around the block was challenging because he would tug and try to go after other dogs and cats. It turns out that what we were interpreting as aggression, was actually pent-up excitement in Bear. Deric's extensive knowledge in psychology along with his years of experience working with dogs opened our eyes on how to better understand and communicate with Bear. Deric helped us work with Bear on commands like "place", "here", "out" and "leave it". Working on these commands seemed more like training for us humans, but it all paid off in the end. Nowadays, Bear is a much more obedient dog who can be in the same room as our cats without growling or trying to run after them. Walking Bear is no longer a scary activity. It is something we can do with ease. We even take Bear out in public places like Home Depot, PetSmart, and Iron Horse. We are also in the process of adopting another dog for our family too! Both Bear and our newer dog attend Deric's doggie daycare, The Nature of Dogs, twice a week. I can honestly say that if it weren't for Deric, we probably would have rehomed Bear. I am forever grateful for the dedication and insight Deric has given to our family. I would 100% highly recommend American River Canine for any of your canine training needs!

3D Dog Training Sac

I did a private session and from that moment forward I just knew she was a perfect fit. I ultimately moved ahead with the board and train which was by far the best decision I ever made. Fast forward over a year later and I continue with her monthly membership service. I learn more and more each training session. And let me just say the progress my dog continues to make I could not have done it without Devon. She goes out of her way to make sure I succeed in training my dog and has also given me the skills on how to be the best dog owner. I highly recommend Devon. She has great training methods and no training question goes unanswered.

She dots all the i's and crosses the t's when it comes to taking care of your pets and your property while you're away. Definitely reasonable rates and trustworthy. The only time I've had to use another company was when I briefly moved out of her service area, but she was able to recommend another petsitter. They were great too, but I was glad when I moved back into her service area.

From the very beginning, it was obvious how much they care about their dogs and the families they place them with. They were incredibly kind, welcoming, and transparent throughout the entire process. They provided extensive documentation on our German Shepherd, Luna, including her health history and bloodline, and even introduced us to her parents so we could see firsthand the environment she came from.
What really stood out was the level of support we received after bringing Luna home. Mila and Jeff stayed in contact and were always available to answer questions. Jeff’s years of experience as a veterinary technician were especially valuable. His knowledge of canine health, behavior, and care gave us a great deal of confidence as first-time German Shepherd owners.
Most importantly, Luna has been an amazing dog. Her temperament is exceptional. In fact, during the first few weeks, we were almost convinced something was wrong because she was so well-behaved! She didn’t chew on anything she wasn’t supposed to, adapted quickly to our home, and has been a joy to train and live with.
If you’re looking for knowledgeable, ethical breeders who genuinely care about their dogs long after they leave for their new homes, we wholeheartedly recommend Mila and Jeff. Luna has become a beloved member of our family, and we’re incredibly grateful to them for helping bring her into our lives.

We had to put our Teddy down unexpectedly last Sunday. West Coast treated our Teddy with respect and dignity. The urn is beautiful and we requested a laser engraving to place on the urn. We also requested a nose print to remember our sweet boy. Their communication was prompt and friendly.
The Minus points
The engraving was provided separately and we had to stick it on ourself (minus 0.5). For the extra $20, it would have been nice to know it was going to be provided separately.
The nose print was $35 and provided on cardstock only; for that price, a simple frame to protect it would be expected and nice to have (minus 1 point).
Overall though, we are happy with the experience West Coast provided and Teddy is home where he belongs ❤️
