But it didn't end there. We struck up a great conversation, during which Gian gladly went next door to the pavilions to grab snacks and drinks for us. I felt like I was talking to two friends rather than them selling me a product. The reason I mention this is last year my wife and I were considering switching cell phone providers, and in hearing good things about T-Mobile, we decided to pop into your Balboa store.
This is where we met Ally Fedorka, who we found to be exceptional in every way. She was an incredible listener, she explained all our options, and she helped us understand the value of her offerings in the most professional way. Accordingly, we not only decided to follow her recommendation and become a customer of yours, but when we left the store, we spent the next 30 minutes talking about how impressed we were with Ally’s professionalism.
Now here we are over a year later, and I contacted your store once again, in hopes Ally was still with you. Due to the loss of my wife, I’ll be traveling out of the county, so I needed to ensure my phone settings were all properly set. The good news for me was Ally was still with your company, and I was again impressed by her in every way. Not only was she incredibly helpful, but she was empathetic as to the loss of my wife, and her professionalism shined through once again.

“I always have a consistent shopping experience here. The store is clean and well-lit, with plenty of parking. The employees can be hit or miss, but generally friendly and willing to help. The check-out process could be a bit faster to be honest. I noticed several of the employees not only making conversation with the customers while checking them out, but actually stopping to pause and continue the conversation instead of working and talking at the same time. This is just a small issue of mine, as I was in a bit of a hurry this week and had expected to check out a little faster than I did (with only a few people in front of me and to either side). Decent selection of products for good prices, but not cheap quality where you feel like you're buying garbage. Items have always been top-notch; that's why I keep coming back here for a few cents more than traveling to Walmart in the next town over.”
“I’m happy, happy, happy! Spectrum is dependable and their customer service is excellent. They aren’t perfect, but they work to make things right.
I’ll take it any day over my previous experience with Verizon’s degradation in service, price gouging, lying customer service reps. And, every time I called Verizon with a technical issue, their solution was for me to pay more. We were very hesitant to leave Verizon because they have excellent coverage. However, my interactions with their customer service made me question whether I was on the TV show “Punked” with Ashton Kutcher.
Spectrum still values people and relationships with their customers. I’ve been very happy with my wi-fi service over the past 7+ years, so I just switched over my cellular service to Spectrum since they use Verizon’s network. Spectrum’s pricing is 37% of Verizon’s with 100% better customer service. So far, I’m ecstatic about the switch (2 phone lines at an introductory rate of $50 a month. 50 gigs of 5G speeds (it will slow after reaching 50 gigs). That price also includes 10 gigs of personal hot spot @ 5G speeds as well. After a year the price goes up to $69; they promise to never raise rates (TBD). Even with the increase, it’s still 51% of my prior Verizon bill.
I’m extremely happy to have found the Spectrum solution!”
