The food court is known for very affordable food, so their slightly pricier food items and unfamiliar flavors will deter 60% of the clientele here. Food: Boat noodles were spicier than I expected and tasted much better than I expected. Service: Staff was not at the front, but order was taken promptly and food got to me promptly. Environment: The seating in the food court is a bit on the dumpy side. Parking spaces are tight and might be difficult during peak hours. Price: Super cheap pricing for today's food market standards. The place is already empty so I'm actually surprised they've survived all these years. Food: 5 Service: 4 Environment: 3.5 Price: 5

The food is visually stunning and it tastes just as good as it looks, if not better.
The lobster has a tasty garlic flavor and succulent flesh. It's clearly well seasoned, and even though the garlic taste is fairly strong (which I enjoy) it doesn't overpower the rest of the dish. The dish it comes in also leaves the flesh mostly exposed/peeled, so it's not difficult to eat. The noodles are a bit softer than I usually have them, but they've absorbed the flavors of the seasonings really well and it's not at all soggy.
The chicken is crisy on first bite and then juicy for all the rest. It is a bit salty (which isn't saying much since I usually like less salt than the average person) but it goes well with the rice.
The steak is amazingly tender. I loved the texture of it, and the flavor is tasty too.
(We also ordered the kung pao chicken and mapo tofu, which I also liked, just dont have as strong opinions on)
Last but not least, even amongst the standout meat dishes like the lobster and the steak, one of my favorites this meal was the morning glory. The leaves are soft and the stem is crunchy, and it has a slight meaty taste that accentuates the tastiness of the dish.
Overall I really enjoyed this meal, and will definitely return on my next visit to LA.

A few people gave this place a star review, but I didn't really notice anything odd. 🤔 The server doesn't smile but who cares? You're there for the food, not smile. Can't hurt to smile though 😆

8749 Valley Blvd, RosemeadThis is a diner that apparently has been here for decades. A family owned restaurant for the local community. This place is the go to especially after playing golf at Whittier Narrows down the street.
My son loves this place, his go to is always the club sandwich fries included. My personal favorite is the patty melt with fries. For appetizers we love the onion rings. A heads up, if you order a large fries that's exactly what you get. Not the typical small serving but a mound of fries to share for the whole table.
It's a no frills local joint where they have regulars that always come in. These mom and pop places are what makes this country what it is, not the cookie cutter chain restaurants. Always support your local businesses.

3684 Rosemead Blvd, RosemeadLove this place! I come here all the time with my friends. My favorite is the butter chicken and their fried fish! And the servers are always so kind. The buffet is always worth it, esp with a free drink on the weekends!
