The staff made a small fuss over her without being over the top, which she appreciated. Food was lovely — proper portions, not those tiny plates you get elsewhere — and it actually tasted homemade. We were there a good couple of hours and never once felt pushed to leave. The bill was very reasonable considering how much we ate and drank. It's now officially mum-approved, which is a higher bar than any food critic. We'll be back, probably sooner than we should be.

5807 Rosemead Blvd, Temple CityIf you're looking for an affordable hot pot spot in the SGV, I definitely recommend trying Mebo in Temple City. Their AYCE build-your-own hot pot is only $15.99, which is an amazing deal considering you also get access to the buffet. There are plenty of veggies, meats, noodles, and other ingredients to customize your perfect bowl, and you can choose the broth you want before they cook everything for you.
If you're not in the mood for hot pot, they also offer the buffet by itself for around $11.99, making it one of the best values around. The food was fresh, flavorful, and well worth the price. It's hard to find an all-you-can-eat meal this affordable these days, so I'll definitely be coming back!

Hangang Korean restaurant
5612 Rosemead Blvd, Temple CityHangang Korean Restaurant is a newer Korean spot in the SGV that focuses on classic comfort dishes in a warm and comfortable setting. The restaurant is tucked into a small plaza, so it is easy to miss while driving by.
The menu focuses on familiar Korean dishes, and the standout for me was the galbijjim. The short ribs were incredibly tender and cooked to the point where the meat easily came away, with a rich savory flavor. The sauce had a good balance without overpowering the natural flavor of the meat. The bibimbap was also a good dish, pretty standard that compares well to other places that also serve the dish.
The soups and lighter dishes also make the menu feel well rounded. The seafood pancake is another good addition, with a satisfying texture and enough flavor to stand on its own. The banchan were a nice part of the meal as well. The side dishes came out fresh and added variety throughout the meal, making the table feel more complete.
Service was friendly and attentive throughout the visit. The staff were helpful and made the experience feel comfortable, whether you were ordering a full spread or just stopping by for a specific dish. There is also plenty of parking compared to some other Korean food areas, which makes the visit more convenient.
Overall, Hangang is a solid addition to the SGV Korean food scene. The combination of comforting dishes, generous portions, quality meats, and a relaxed atmosphere makes it a place I would return to.

9153 E Las Tunas Dr, Temple CityI had a delightful experience at Oops Boba Tea & Coffee (Temple City). I ordered the Baked Brulee Milk Tea ($6.59) with Boba (additional 75 cents). It's crisp black tea, salty & sweet brulee foam, and non-dairy milk with bouncy, perky boba pearls. I sipped happily. I arrived at Oops Boba Tea & Coffee (Temple City) on Sunday (around 11:12AM). Parking is simple since there's a nearby neighborhood with street parking. I quickly found a spot. Customers can order at the self-service kiosk or the counter. I chose the self-service kiosk, and I regret it because I dislike how the self-service kiosk requires the customer's phone number to proceed. Staff communicates well. After ordering, Staff honestly & politely informed me that they'd need 20 additional minutes for their Boba since they recently opened. I was perfectly fine with that since they spoke upfront and honestly. After the 20 minutes passed, the drink took four minutes and 14 seconds. As mentioned, I ordered the Baked Brulee Milk Tea ($6.59) with Boba (additional 75 cents). It's delicious. This chill drink carries a crisp tea flavor. The foam is also zesty with a soft sweetness. It reminds me of a creamy milk tea. In addition, they made wonderful boba pearls. These boba pearls are sweet, bouncy, and playful. YUM! On ambiance, Oops Boba Tea & Coffee (Temple City) is a wonderful spot to study/work. There's a long wooden table with 9 electrical plug spots, and there's four available electrical outlets. The location also includes customer internet with password; the details are confidently shown on the counter. The location also has a gender neutral restroom in the back, and there's plentiful hand sanitizer bottles in reach. The location felt clean and comfortable. Oops Boba Tea & Coffee (Temple City) uses its space well. There's four tables and one long wooden table. There's also two small outside tables. During my stay, it felt very comfy as I listened to its smooth music. Overall, I had a pleasant experience at Oops Boba Tea & Coffee (Temple City). They serve wonderful drinks and boba. If searching for a place to study/work, this is an easy recommendation. 4.8 out of 5

I find it funny that the mini burrito is 1.50 less vs the regular one at 10.99.
