Usually she’s very anxious at the groomers, but I have a feeling she will be happy to be back next time. I was very impressed with my visit!

4163 E Live Oak Ave #1/2, ArcadiaI came across Pooches Playground about 12 years ago. Violet knows dogs as well as Cesar Milan. She’s a former vet tech, so your dogs health is in good hands. I have a reactive shelter German Shepherd that had me worried about mixing with other dogs. She handled it just like Cesar Milan. My Baron LOVES being boarded at Pooches Playground! Your dog will not be crated. It’s an open (indoor) playground.

Las Tunas Animal Hospital
108 Las Tunas Dr, Arcadiay wife and I have taken our dogs here since the early 1980s. Dr. Peterson has always taken great care of our 7 dogs through the years. Very caring and professional. The ONLY time I took one of our dogs to another vet (a VCA), she was misdiagnosed. Our Wolf/Malamute was right at 16 yrs (had him since 5 weeks) and needed our extra attention in his last days. Our Ausie who was 14.5 yrs had a growth the VCA vet said was benign. It turned out to be cancer and of course Dr. Peterson caught it. It's September 2024 and we live far away now, but still go to Dr. Peterson at Las Tunas Dee and Dr Peterson are great. Las Tunas Animal Hospital can be trusted with our precious animals!

The facilities, diagnostic capabilities, and attention to detail is immaculate. The quality of medicine that is being provided is top tier. I have a very fearful pitty, and everyone went above and beyond to make her visit positive. Our technician and doctor (Francis and Dr. Sanfilippo) were both so patient and kind, and I could tell they genuinely wanted the best for my girl. Even though their prices may be a bit higher than other places, for the amount of love and quality of medicine we received, I won't be taking my girl anywhere else.

2780 San Pasqual Street, PasadenaWe hired Karen to look after our 12-year-old abby/tabby Sonny, and his new companion, Junior. We were concerned because Junior was a fairly new rescue who was still a little jumpy. Although fairly comfortable with us, he would startle at any unexpected noise outside the house and scramble under the nearest piece of furniture, where he’d stay indefinitely until we could coax him out. We really needed to find someone to care for Sonny and Junior, who would understand them and be attentive to their individual needs.\\n\\nWe couldn’t have been any happier than we were with Karen. Not only did she take extra care to follow our intricate feeding instructions, she spent time with the cats and went above and beyond to make sure they felt attended to and loved. Junior ate and though he was wary, he felt comfortable enough not to disappear, which is huge for a kitty who’s only lived indoors for 4 months of his seven years. We couldn’t recommend Karen any more enthusiastically.

214 N First Ave, ArcadiaIf your looking for a robust coffee yet smooth but not too strong leaving you excited for next visit.... this is the place. I also enjoyed the salsa verde and 2 fried eggs made here. The salsa macha that comes on the side is an amazing mixture of bold and mild chile flavors but not too spicy just enough to tantalizing your palette. I enjoyed the moist pineapple cake and carrot cake. This is my new place in Arcadia. So worth the visit and a great discovery.

The coffee is great, and their sandwiches are honestly the best value for your buck — better quality than anywhere else nearby at a price that’s hard to beat. Every time I order, the owner throws in a free muffin or two, no charge. Small touch, big difference. Highly recommend.
Don’t sleep on their sandwiches!

The seasonal coral sweet shrimp was fresh, naturally sweet, and beautifully presented over ice. The assorted sashimi selection was also enjoyable, especially the uni and premium sashimi cuts, which had a rich and smooth texture.
I also liked the wagyu beef tongue, which was tender and flavorful. The mixed tempura was light, crispy, and not too greasy. Other highlights included the uni tofu appetizer and the beef rice bowl topped with egg yolk. Overall, a solid spot in Arcadia for fresh sashimi, uni, sweet shrimp, and other Japanese dishes.

400 S Baldwin Ave #2045, ArcadiaI had to update my review because this place just got a serious glow-up! They finally got rid of those old picnic-style checker tablecloths, and the dining room looks so much more upscale and sleek now.
We came in for dinner with a group and ordered one of their set menus for 6 people. It's honestly an incredible deal, it comes with a whole Peking duck and a bunch of great dishes, including the shrimp with vermicelli, beef in soup, broccoli, salad, sweet and sour pork ribs, and a 6-item appetizer platter. The food tasted fantastic, though the portion sizes for the set felt a little light for 6 fully grown adults. To make sure everyone was full, we added an order of their famous braised noodles with pork ribs, which absolutely hit the spot.
The service was highly impressive and completely matches the new elevated vibe of the restaurant. We had such a great experience that we’re actually coming back again next week for a birthday celebration. Highly recommend checking out their new look!

Their breakfast sandwiches are good and you get the option of adding different bagel spreads and vegetables which most donut shops don't offer. Their coffee doesn't taste watered down and the donuts are fresh. You might want to call ahead for breakfast sandwiches because they get busy in the morning. They don't sell lottery tickets though. Family who owns the business are very nice and hardworking. Thank you
