Usually she’s very anxious at the groomers, but I have a feeling she will be happy to be back next time. I was very impressed with my visit!

4163 E Live Oak Ave #1/2, ArcadiaI came across Pooches Playground about 12 years ago. Violet knows dogs as well as Cesar Milan. She’s a former vet tech, so your dogs health is in good hands. I have a reactive shelter German Shepherd that had me worried about mixing with other dogs. She handled it just like Cesar Milan. My Baron LOVES being boarded at Pooches Playground! Your dog will not be crated. It’s an open (indoor) playground.

Las Tunas Animal Hospital
108 Las Tunas Dr, Arcadiay wife and I have taken our dogs here since the early 1980s. Dr. Peterson has always taken great care of our 7 dogs through the years. Very caring and professional. The ONLY time I took one of our dogs to another vet (a VCA), she was misdiagnosed. Our Wolf/Malamute was right at 16 yrs (had him since 5 weeks) and needed our extra attention in his last days. Our Ausie who was 14.5 yrs had a growth the VCA vet said was benign. It turned out to be cancer and of course Dr. Peterson caught it. It's September 2024 and we live far away now, but still go to Dr. Peterson at Las Tunas Dee and Dr Peterson are great. Las Tunas Animal Hospital can be trusted with our precious animals!

The facilities, diagnostic capabilities, and attention to detail is immaculate. The quality of medicine that is being provided is top tier. I have a very fearful pitty, and everyone went above and beyond to make her visit positive. Our technician and doctor (Francis and Dr. Sanfilippo) were both so patient and kind, and I could tell they genuinely wanted the best for my girl. Even though their prices may be a bit higher than other places, for the amount of love and quality of medicine we received, I won't be taking my girl anywhere else.

2780 San Pasqual Street, PasadenaWe hired Karen to look after our 12-year-old abby/tabby Sonny, and his new companion, Junior. We were concerned because Junior was a fairly new rescue who was still a little jumpy. Although fairly comfortable with us, he would startle at any unexpected noise outside the house and scramble under the nearest piece of furniture, where he’d stay indefinitely until we could coax him out. We really needed to find someone to care for Sonny and Junior, who would understand them and be attentive to their individual needs.\\n\\nWe couldn’t have been any happier than we were with Karen. Not only did she take extra care to follow our intricate feeding instructions, she spent time with the cats and went above and beyond to make sure they felt attended to and loved. Junior ate and though he was wary, he felt comfortable enough not to disappear, which is huge for a kitty who’s only lived indoors for 4 months of his seven years. We couldn’t recommend Karen any more enthusiastically.

214 North First Avenue, ArcadiaGoki Cafe in Arcadia is a fantastic little gem! My boyfriend and I are in town visiting from Michigan. We stumbled upon Goki, the owner and his son helped us out. Both of them were so welcoming and kind. This is a family owned business with the mother making all the decisions food they have to offer. The coffee is insanely good and the baked goods we got were amazing! If you are ever in or passing through Arcadia this is a MUST go to!!!

The main course and the colorful layered dessert were both highlights of our visit. I especially loved the multi-layered slice of cake, which looked just as incredible as it tasted. We will definitely be back soon.

The live sweet shrimp sashimi was a standout—so fresh and naturally sweet. The A5 wagyu sushi was incredibly tender, and the Kumamoto oysters with uni & ikura were a delicious combination. The premium chirashi don and miso Chilean sea bass were also highlights!
The service was friendly and attentive, and our food came out at a good pace. The ambiance was cozy and intimate, making it a nice spot for a date night or special dinner. Definitely on the pricier side, but the quality of the seafood makes it worth trying for an elevated sushi experience. 🍣✨

15 W Huntington Dr, ArcadiaMonarch Donuts is seriously one of the best donut shops around! 🍩 Everything is always so fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. Their apple fritters are my absolute favorite.
And I have to mention Jonathan, the owner. He is such a genuinely kind, friendly, and welcoming person. You can tell he really cares about his customers and takes pride in what he does. Great donuts, great service, and an even better owner. If you haven’t tried Monarch Donuts yet, you definitely need to! Highly recommend!

There a couple of tables outside the little shack where they offer crispy bean and cheese burritos that are unbelievably good! Service is. Always with a smile. I also tried crunchy tacos and taquitos which j added cheese to and it was so yummy. There js no satisfaction like a treat from taco treat. Don't forget the hot sauce!
