I tried Wally’s Cafe in Berkeley today and was honestly so surprised by how good it was. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and after the first bite I already knew I’d order it again. The portions are also super generous for the price, and the burger came with a ton of fries.

The fries weren’t really my favorite — they were pretty plain and didn’t have much flavor. Kind of like In-N-Out fries where you mostly just taste potato 😂. But the lentil soup was delicious, and the baklava was so good too.

Overall, I was really impressed with how much food you get for the price. Definitely coming back for that burger!

Branch Line Bar

Not what you’d expect. Diverse company…yes. Great people…yes. As a Midwest visitor, I expected this bar to be the caricature of California. But the people here love their families, cut up and are good people. First bar I’ve been to in a long time where I had two people buy me a round in one sitting. The staff are great and the community are great. Can’t recommend this place more. They make me have hope for California.

All the food was excellent, highly recommend the huevos rancheros with chicken chorizo (the chorizo option isn't listed on the menu but our waiter recommended it and it was bombbb). We also had a blue corn pancake to share for the table and it's was delicious! Would certainly come back
