MISHKA Luxury Dog Boutique
2124 Union St #A, San FranciscoWe have two huskies — a boy and a girl — and I genuinely don’t think they’ve ever loved anything as much as they love the cakes from MISHKA Dog Boutique. The excitement starts the second we walk toward the box. Everything is so beautifully made and you can tell there’s real care behind every detail. It’s rare to find something that feels this special and still made with such high-quality ingredients. Watching our dogs so happy honestly makes us happy too.

Virginia's Professional Pet Grooming
1800 San Jose Avenue, San FranciscoTook my 4 month old puppy to Virginia's for her first grooming. They were very professional, walking me through the basics of brushing and how I should maintain her. They also shared photo updates on her progress and how she had been holding up. Finally, I picked up my puppy and she was pretty relaxed and calm, even though it was her first grooming and we were worried that she will freak out. It was clear that they treated her really well, and my puppy loved them. Definitely recommend

The Dog Barber
1903 Market St, San FranciscoMy dog is twelve years old and blind, but she's always been taken really good care of at Dog Barber. It's hard to find a really good groomer, and I trust them with my dog. I saw her being groomed on the table — she can't see, but she's not scared at all. My dog is really nice and cute, but it's not just that, the people here just take really good care of her. I'm extremely grateful. This simple thing makes me feel like this is a community worth staying in, and I wanted to share with the rest of the dog owners.

Bathing Dog
3208 Irving St, San FranciscoMy Shiba Inu who loves water jumped into the pool of standing water at the old Sutro bathhouse foundation at Lands End. She was very wet and stinky and the towel I used to dry her off was black with dirt. Clearly I could not take her home in this condition. Searching nearby dog bathing businesses, I found and called The Bathing Dog and thankfully they could take her right away. I was told to come back in 2 hours but I got a call from the owner after only 1.5 hours saying she was ready. I came back to find a fluffy soft good smelling dog and my leash was cleaned as well. The owner is 79 years old(!) and very friendly especially if you can speak conversational Cantonese as I can. He is hard of hearing but it was not an issue for me. Cash only. $65 to baths and dry including ear cleaning. I tipped him $7. It was a great experience and I look forward to bringing my dog again when she needs a bath and dry. Photo is of her after her bath at home.

Lotus Veterinary House Calls
825 Moultrie St, San FranciscoWe recently had to say goodbye to our beloved dog, Bastian, and the team from Lotus provided the most compassionate and professional care imaginable. Dr. Seth and his assistant, Ro, arrived so calm and collected, working seamlessly together like a well-oiled machine without even needing to speak. They just knew what needed to be done. They made Bastian feel completely safe and comfortable during his final moments and allowed us to surround him with our homemade bed of flowers, which meant the world to us.
His remains arrived today, less than two weeks later, and everything was beautifully packaged with great attention to detail and quality. We’re so grateful for the dignity, kindness, and support they showed our family through such a difficult time. I can’t recommend Lotus highly enough for anyone facing this heartbreaking moment, they truly helped bring peace to ours.

Golden Gate Home Hospice and Euthanasia
491 27th Ave, San FranciscoGolden Gate Vet helped me through one of the most difficult days of my life with grace and compassion. My beautiful boy Charlie became unexpectedly sick and failed efforts to medically manage his condition. I made the decision to end his life while he still had some quality of life. Golden Gate Vet walked me through this decision and helped reassure me throughout. Their team member who I spoke with and guided me was Zane, who was so warm and responsive and answered all my questions. On the day, Dr. Brian Van Horn came to my home and spent time getting to know my family. Charlie’s actual death was heart-destroying but there’s no escaping that, and Dr. Van Horn deeply cared and was present with me and Charlie through everything. Golden Gate Vet also helped set up Charlie’s private cremation and removed his body from my home.
They helped me navigate the most difficult day and decision of my life, and allowed Charlie to die with dignity at home surrounded by love and warmth and treats. I’m forever indebted to them.

Healthy Pets Veterinary Hospital
373 W Portal Ave, San FranciscoI’ve been taking my dog to Dr Adam for a couple of years now, he’s by far my favorite vet and I’ve tried several. I also LOVE Andrew at the front office. Their appointments are set up in 15 min increments I believe so you pay for the times used, it’s amazing (I used to pay the same amount for an average appt of 7 min w/o much info at all). I typically spend 30 min and Dr Adam is a wealth of knowledge so I love picking his brain. He shares about home cooking/bone broth, massage techniques, supplements, home teeth cleaning etc. My dog Lily loves him bc at the same time as he teaches me something new he massages her. He’s so lovely and so extremely helpful with minimal interventions. He never pushes unnecessary procedures which I love. He usually has very basic, straightforward solutions, many which haven’t costed me a dime. He’s a partner in health and one of the few good ones left. Bless his heart.

Primepaw -SF's Best Puppy School!
243 Alabama St, San FranciscoWe first learned about Primepaw through the SFSPCA, who recommended them as a great spot, when we adopted Polly through the shelter.
After two delightful private sessions in our home with Joanne where she gave us a ton of useful tips and tricks to help with Polly's development and training, we decided to buy the six pack for Puppy Kindergarten. Well worth the investment. Polly was shy around other dogs when we started and has grown so much in her confidence through the masterful training and love of the team at Primepaw. I've appreciated that since she is a such a small dog, they've intentionally made sure she is playing with dogs of her size to keep her confident and safe.
She absolutely adores going there, and we appreciate all of the suggestions for additional games at home from Dominic during pick up and drop off. She is just thrilled each time we pull up to Primepaw because she knows she's going to have the best day ever. Thank you, Primepaw team, for helping Polly grow into a confident, joyful, well behaved pup.

Sometimes we walk by on walks and every time he runs right up the stairs begging to go inside and play with his pals! I know he is safe and well taken care of. It is expensive but considering that they pick him up and drop him off and that they do such a good job and it is a small group with a high staff to dog ratio, it is definitely worth it! SF Puppy Prep
251 6th St, San FranciscoTo be honest, I was a little cynical about Doggy Daycares in general but I am SO glad we signed up with our terrier pup Ziggy. From the first play session we noticed a difference in Ziggys behavior regarding playing, biting, and obedience. The focus the pups get from the teachers and the reinforcement of good behaviors is fantastic and helped to fast track Ziggy's training. The reports and feedback are thoughtful and actionable and although his training is not 'done' it's advanced much more than I anticipated. I thoroughly recommend this school if you're able to sign up.

3119 Vicente St, San FranciscoOur family recently completed the Puppy 1 training class with Tyler, and we absolutely loved the experience. Over the course of five Saturdays, my husband, our two daughters, and I had such a fun and rewarding time learning how to train our puppy, Frida.
Each class was engaging, interactive, and full of practical tips. Tyler is an exceptional trainer—knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly good at making the sessions both fun and effective. He taught us really great foundational skills and lots of cool tricks. it’s been amazing to see how much Frida has progressed and how her confidence has grown.
We also really appreciated the thoughtful follow-up emails after each class, along with the helpful materials that made it easy to continue practicing at home. And as a bonus, the extra 15 minutes of complimentary puppy social time after class was such a highlight—Frida loved meeting and playing with other puppies.
Overall, we highly recommend this class to anyone looking to build a strong bond with their puppy while having a great time doing it. It was a fantastic experience for our whole family- and we can’t wait to sign up frida for Puppy 2

Bagels and croissants are both delicious. I havent had any drinks from here yet as I just make tea at home. Its really popular here though so I imagine their drinks are as good as the food.
Ive tried the asiago bagel with a Lil mayo, bacon egg and cheese as well as the croissant with sausage egg and cheese and hot sauce. Highly recommend the hot sauce here, it doesnt taste like a hot sauce ive had before. Its a little sweet and not too spicy or vinegary. I got one of each today for 11.75. I didnt know if I should tip via venmo, so I didnt, so ill bring extra cash next time.
Even if I didnt live as close as i do, id come here.
The only downside is there is no place to sit. Its intended to get your breakfast needs and scoot scoot.
