5755 Hwy 9, FeltonWe hiked the redwoods earlier in the day and spotted Monty’s on the way in. We knew we had to stop on the way out.
This is exactly what a bar should be rock music on the jukebox, cold beer, cash only, and a friendly bartender.
The added bonus? Monty was originally from Rochester, New York… our hometown. That made the stop even better.

379 Felton Empire Rd, FeltonWe stopped in here for a tasting as we were camping on the property. You can book the campsites on HipCamp. I loved the idea of staying on the property of a wine tasting room. The wines offered are mainly red wine (a tasting is $25 a glass is $15). They also offer plenty of cider on tap and you can also do a tasting of those. The wines were good, I'm more of a Chardonnay lover but I was still happy to try their offerings. The service was good, only the host/owner was working but he was able to serve a pretty busy tasting room quickly. There is plenty of parking and a clean restroom. They also do private events. The owners dog is also there and he was super friendly.

6560 Hwy 9, FeltonI'd forgotten how great this place is. Great outdoor seating, awesome food, friendly staff. Any breakfast item here is a full plate for only $16.00. Any other cafés charge $22 or more. Kitchen can be a little slow when it's busy, but always worth the wait. Patio is dog-friendly. They make the best biscuits in the county. Note... they are cash/check only, but have an ATM.
