I have now been a client of Scotts Valley Vet for over a year. I have two young cats a middle aged dog. When we rescued our kittens they were sick, very sick. I originally had been taking our pets to the local vet and ran into so many issues with the sick kitties. When you have animals that are not well and need constant follow up, it is stressful. I ended up going to another highly regarded local vet and yet again, same story. I found it very challenging to get help for sick kitties that needed a lot of follow up.
Finally, after reading so many reviews on Nextdoor, Google, Yelp and word of mouth...I called SVV. Just that initial phone call with the front desk was already impressive. They shared the background and philosophy of the practice. I immediately felt relief and I knew I was going to be in good hands. I have to drive 20-25 min out of my way to go to SVV, and it is worth every mile.
Each and every staff member is amazing. The front desk is welcoming and attentive. The facility is clean, up to date, and cared for. The Veterinarians are amazing. I have only worked with two so far and I must say, I am so pleased I made the transition. They take the time to talk with you. They listen AND hear you. They are gentle and engaged with your pets. They are thorough. They are reasonable and I have never felt they try to upsell you. In fact, each and every visit they took the time to try and find better prices by the way they ordered labs etc. They gave plan A,B,C and gave me the power to choose with their expert opinion. On my last appointment I had lab work done on all three animals. I received a phone call from the Vet that same day reviewing the labs, discussing the abnormal values. What the labs meant and how to move forward. Then next morning ,I received a text message with a follow up on more labs that came in. Also with explanation of the abnormal values, with follow up plan options. I never once called. I didn't get a random email with results and no follow up. I dont have to follow up because they are SO on top of it. Side note, we also discussed all the improvements and hurdles we accomplished with the sick kitties. We have over come so much and I felt so supported along the way. I thought we would loose one if not both cats. They are so healthy and happy. I am a RN and with great confidence I refer anyone I come across looking for a vet to their practice. If you are reading this and need a vet, read, look no further. SVV is the BEST. You will be in great hands.

Armitage Wines

It is not just the great history of the estate which was formerly owned by Alfred Hitchcock, but the delicious and high quality wines that you can sample in this amazing setting. The current owners are very welcoming and attentive and especially dedicated to creating a great tasting experience for their guests. We spend a whole afternoon trying the different wines and I have to say it is rarely the case that I am as pleased with the sampling as I was at Armitage. Next to this, the vineyard offers amazing views. Tucked away in the redwood trees you can see for miles while overlooking the grapes from the top of the estate. When the sun sets in the afternoon, it makes for an amazing play of light and shadows. We truly loved visiting this place and will definitely come back. It is well worth a trip. Erin, the owner, absolutely blew my mind today, not only with the coffee, but with her generosity and kindness toward her community. While I was there, someone was short on bus fare, and without hesitation she stepped in to help. Her only response was, “If I do that, please pay it forward.”
Honestly, it brought tears to my eyes. It’s a beautiful reminder that there are still angels walking among us.
Now let’s talk about the coffee. Absolutely incredible. The oat milk latte Erin made was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. Pair that with their world-class customer service, and you’ve already won me over.
But don’t stop at the coffee. Do yourself a favor and visit the bakery too. It’s rare to find a place where both the coffee and the baked goods are equally amazing, but they nailed it.
This is officially my go-to coffee spot whenever in town. Erin, thank you for the kindness, the magic, and the love you put into your business. Sending that same magic and love right back your way. Wishing you continued success. You deserve every bit of it

I like the steak tips as an appetizer and usually get 3 of them.
A bar is connected next door if you like sports and pool tables add craft beer.

Shoutout to Connor, who engaged my dad in conversation while I was getting the toddler squared away, and who gave us an excellent recommendation for some local scenery to visit whilst in town. (Shark beach down highway 1 if anyone is interested in some stunning scenery).
The other staff were also friendly (and patient! Thanks!)
The tables were in need of a wipe but I carry baby wipes with me everywhere anyway and my toddler has yet to meet a messy situation he cant make messier.
The food was exactly what we expected it to be which was why we stopped here to begin with.
