“FUN LUNCH ! Gee it's been a few years since we've been up in this neck of the woods. My wife and I decided to ride our bikes along the Huntington Beach boardwalk on Sunday. That meant loading up our eBikes on the tow hitch bike rack and driving about 30 minutes to Huntington State Beach. WHICH WE DID ! We arrived at a state run parking lot and paid $15 to park my wife's Telsa Y all day and as the parking attendant said.....we could come and go as often as we pleased. It had been well over 10 years since we rode bikes around here.....almost everything looked unfamiliar. Of course we were hoping to find a cafe or something where we could stop for lunch. WE RODE ! There was not much going on so far as eateries on the beach...the Ospreys were gettin' a free feed. After about 9 miles we saw in front of us a ton of eBikes parked outside a lively looking spot in the middle of nowhere....we were now at Bolsa Chico State Beach my wife informed me. My wife lived at Sunset Beach as a teenager and knew this area very well. There was certainly more than a few people here enjoyin' lunch and hanging out with a beer. LET'S DO IT ! It was almost 2.30pm when we squeezed our 2 eBikes into a small vacant space in front of the fence. I went inside to check out the menu...lots of stuff incl burger & fries which suited us fine for a late lunch. LIVE MUSIC ! I noticed a stage tent was set up and it looked like the band was getting ready to crank it up. I checked with my wife about us gettin' burgers & fries..no prob ! I fronted up at the cashier window and a lovely cashier named Patty took my order for 1 x [#9] CHEESEBURGER & FRIES ( Beef Patty, Cheese, 1000 Island Sauce, Lettuce, Onions and Pickles on a Brioche Bun with a side of Fries and 1 x [#8] BOLSA BURGER & FRIES ( Beef Patty, Cheese, 1000 Island Sauce, Bacon, Avocado, Lettuce, Tomato, Onions and Pickles on a Brioche Bun with a side of Fries ). I paid by credit card and Patty gave me a ready buzzer. VERY IMPRESSIVE ! It was pretty busy inside the fenced confines of Beach City Provisions but we managed to nail a couple of spots at a bar height table with a view of the band. WHAM BAM ! The ready buzzer went berserk within 10 minutes and I headed over to collect our lunch order. LOOKIN' GOOD ! To be honest I wasn't expecting anything too flash but our burgers & fries looked darn good ! In fact there was a guy set up selling craft beer and more at a table close by....I don't drink and ride. PRETTY GOOD ! We enjoyed our well made burgers...fresh top quality ingredients. Gee whizz the huge fries looked hand cut and tasted great. THE BAND WAS PLAYIN' ! The band was playing some great classic rock and doing a bloody good job on a lazy Sunday afternoon. I met up with Luis the owner and told him this felt like a beer garden at an Aussie Pub. WE LOVED IT !”

“I have had this in my review draft for a long time. This Arco/AM PM is located Beach Blvd, and Garfield it has an AM/PM mini mart it is stocked and organized with snacks, beverages or anything you may need for a road trip they even phone chargers, motor oil and other car items for the just in case you may need it. Sometimes prices here are a tad higher compared to other Arco Gas stations near by. As we all know it's all about location, location, location. They accept credit card as well as debit card payment with a .35 cents fee for using your cc or debit card.”

“We're down the street in Broadmoor and this morning it was raining and NO LA Times home delivery because of " carrier shortages." My significant other is retired and LOVES his morning paper. I called 7-11 in Sunset and they said yes they did have one copy (probably also only got 2-3 papers delivered commercially) and he'd set it aside for me. I went right down and picked it up. I have frequented this store for years for last minute groceries or lottery tickets and have found the clerks to always be courteous and prompt. If you need a little cash with your purchase (like to buy lottery tickets!) they do not charge a fee on your debit card either. But I really appreciated the clerk putting the newspaper aside for me this morning after a kind of crummy weekend where things go sideways. Of all the 7-11 franchises I've used over the years, I have found this one of the nicer ones. And, it's good to keep your significant-other happy with his newspaper.”

“If you are not using the pharmacy and the Rite Aid store on Warner Avenue in Huntington Beach, CA, then you must change! I have shopped Rite Aid and their pharmacies for several years now and have always liked them. However, this particular one is hands down the best I have EVER used. I know the pharmacists more than the store employees just because I have used them more. They seem as though I have been a client coming there for years. They are all knowledgeable, kind, considerate and to the point. I have NEVER had to wait to have a prescription filled. I left an Urgent Care facility a couple of days ago. They had called in a prescription to this pharmacy and it was ready by the time we got there in less than 10 minutes. My son was so impressed he is switching his pharmacy immediately! Thank you Rite Aid!”

“This is my new Go-To CVS when in Orange County.It's a small CVS but usually well stocked, clean, well lit, smells good, has a positive vibe with helpful, sometimes friendly employees. For people that don't live in the LA area--coming to this CVS from an LA CVS is like going from the dungeon to the penthouse.It's a whole other system and distribution and product availability in the LA market I have been told -- than OC so I am always happy to shop in an OC CVS--especially this one. This CVS has their own large easy free parking lot--enter from Beach or Warner.My only beef is that because they don't want to have to clean up from the homeless that like to use a restroom for 30 minutes to SSS, they tell all their customers that the restroom is out of order. One time they let me use it and it was the most beautiful restroom of any public restroom ever except some of the newer Irvine City Parks. This CVS restroom is nicer and cleaner than most people have at home.”

I have seen people while I waited in lines getting testy with the staff. I was their today 8/13/2023 4pm the people in line were wrapped around in to the main isle of CVS. Only 4 staff were working.”

“This place just opened with new owners and I truly enjoy their food! I've ordered the breakfast burrito multiple times and their roast beef sandwich. The breakfast burrito is soooo good.
