Jeannine's Restaurant & Bakery
1253 Coast Village Rd, MontecitoFirst time here for early breakfast…very good food, great service, pleasant surroundings. Went here for breakfast several times during a one week stay traveling from the Mid-Atlantic. Side walk seating is terrific with very little road traffic noise. Very impressed.

Bree'osh Bakery Cafe Montecito
1150 Coast Village Rd, MontecitoThe ambiance of this street is so quaint and poised! The staff was so kind, I overheard a lady come back and asked to have her item warmed a second time because she didn’t eat it during her meal and they accommodated, great to see good customer service!
Sandwich was sooo great loved the grilled onions. I would get this sandwich all the time if I lived in the area!

Montecito Gourmet by Village Cheese & Wine
1485 E Valley Rd, MontecitoDropped in for lunch, and my wife & I split a Montecito Club sandwich on sourdough. The ingredients are fresh and excellent. Best sandwich in the area. The young men behind the counter were friendly and helpful. Sort of a secret locals place. Great atmosphere, a great selection of wines and superb fresh ingredient foods to choose.

Miramar Beach Bar
1759 S Jameson Ln, MontecitoThe trick is to just go here and get a drink and enjoy the view. That way you can get out of there and still have some money in your bank account! If you want more stuff, you’re in a fancy place and you’re gonna pay fancy prices and that’s OK just be prepared. This stretch of beach used to be one of the most quiet private stretches of beach in Santa Barbara but the hotel really changed the vibe. It’s OK it just part of life. Nothing stays the same so you might as well. Enjoy the fact that you can have a drink with a really nice view. He used to have to bring your own wine and blanket and it was awesome but it’s fine like this too. There are other secret beaches. You can find them if you look.

Pavilions Bakery
1040 Coast Village Rd, MontecitoThe good: I got some kombuchas and frozen food here. They had flavors of Humm Kombucha that I haven't seen elsewhere. The market is in a really cute shopping plaza. Their flower selection looked great. The worker was quick at checking out my items for me. They had a lot of great plants outside the store for sale. The bad: It's pricier than some markets. The interesting: There are 2-3 coin-operated kids ride machines outside (train and a horse and then another train a little further).

Rori’s Artisanal Creamery
1024 Coast Village Rd, MontecitoExcellent tiny ice cream place in Montecito.
They have a couple of dozen flavors (no coffee sigh). I really liked the dark chocolate (but only if you are a lover of bitter dark chocolate). The portions are large and the quality is excellent.
Worth a stop.

Montesano Market & Deli
1150 Coast Village Road, MontecitoI always pick up delicious bites at the deli, but I must give an equal 5-stars to The Market. They always have a wonderful assortment of gourmet food, wine and hostess gifts. For the second year in a row I have loaded up on beautifully packaged holiday treats for my in-laws. A perfect spot to get something for someone who has everything!

Renaud's Patisserie and Bistro
1187 Coast Village Rd suite 7, MontecitoExcellent coffee. Excellent flaky croissant. Pretty slow service was. Maybe they were understaffed with only three people behind the bar. Good pastries but chocolate croissant was not as wonderful as I might have wished. For example, the full slugs or bars of chocolate were neither melted nor distributed so that half the croissant was plain in every bite and the chocolate part was like chewing a chocolate bar... as a former professional baker, that's just a bit amateur in an otherwise impressive operation
