Jeannine's Restaurant & Bakery
1253 Coast Village Rd, MontecitoFood and atmosphere was great. But what really stood out was Lalo, who I imagine was the front of house manager. He was attentive and friendly, greetting and checking on everyone without being overbearing, which can be a difficult balance to hit. Overall an amazing presence in the place. I'm a pro chef who's been in the industry for 20 years and Lalo is one of the best, most professional FOH managers I've come across anywhere, let alone a breakfast place.

Bree'osh Bakery Cafe Montecito
1150 Coast Village Rd, MontecitoThe ambiance of this street is so quaint and poised! The staff was so kind, I overheard a lady come back and asked to have her item warmed a second time because she didn’t eat it during her meal and they accommodated, great to see good customer service!
Sandwich was sooo great loved the grilled onions. I would get this sandwich all the time if I lived in the area!

Montecito Gourmet by Village Cheese & Wine
1485 E Valley Rd, MontecitoDropped in for lunch, and my wife & I split a Montecito Club sandwich on sourdough. The ingredients are fresh and excellent. Best sandwich in the area. The young men behind the counter were friendly and helpful. Sort of a secret locals place. Great atmosphere, a great selection of wines and superb fresh ingredient foods to choose.

Rosewood Miramar Beach
1759 S Jameson Ln, MontecitoThe setting here is stunning, the hotel and facilities are outstanding, and the restaurants are exceptional.
But what really makes this place so special and sets it apart is the attention to detail of the staff and the warmth and depth of their hospitality. Everyone is authentic, and their sincerity and care create an atmosphere that feels both luxurious and deeply personal.

Rori’s Artisanal Creamery
1024 Coast Village Rd, MontecitoExcellent tiny ice cream place in Montecito.
They have a couple of dozen flavors (no coffee sigh). I really liked the dark chocolate (but only if you are a lover of bitter dark chocolate). The portions are large and the quality is excellent.
Worth a stop.

Miramar Beach Bar
1759 S Jameson Ln, MontecitoService and ambience were good, and the little fireplace for chillier days was a really nice touch. The views were fantastic and definitely a highlight of the visit.
The menu was slightly different than what we saw online, and there weren’t many non-spicy options, which made choosing a bit tricky. The food itself was good, but felt slightly overpriced for what you get.
Overall, a great spot for the atmosphere and views, but check the menu in person before you go if you’re particular about spice!

Renaud's Patisserie and Bistro
1187 Coast Village Rd suite 7, MontecitoExcellent coffee. Excellent flaky croissant. Pretty slow service was. Maybe they were understaffed with only three people behind the bar. Good pastries but chocolate croissant was not as wonderful as I might have wished. For example, the full slugs or bars of chocolate were neither melted nor distributed so that half the croissant was plain in every bite and the chocolate part was like chewing a chocolate bar... as a former professional baker, that's just a bit amateur in an otherwise impressive operation

Montesano Market & Deli
1150 Coast Village Road, MontecitoNot being much of a morning person - I rarely get out and about until mid-afternoon, and this place is already closed. But a week ago, I stopped in while it was open, looked around, and was impressed by the offerings in the market. (I have yet to try the food, but am going to!) I asked the woman in charge - who also is seen running the very good sister business across the street, Tre Lune, if they ever carried caviar. She told me they only have it for the holidays normally. But then she went to a fridge and pulled out a tin. It was a sample, she said - and would I like it? WHAT?
Of course I accepted! And she has a customer for life now... as long as I can get over there on time!
