“Warm, inviting Moroccan home goods store. The owner was so kind and welcoming and I felt free to browse at my leisure. I found a pretty candle holder and would be back if I were searching for a unique gift for someone. Definitely worth checking out!”
“Buy one item and you get to pick another item for free. What a novel concept that deserves to be replicated everywhere! Thrift shop treasure hunters should definitely visit here. The store is small but that makes for an easier treasure hunt!”
“This is a beautiful store and the owner was extremely patient while I sent photos to my husband of the candlesticks that we were interested in purchasing. He is committed to staying on Piedmont Avenue and has been in this location for over 25 years. We are so happy that I “shopped local” yesterday.”
“It’s such a vibe …perfect place for a mother to listen for my next plant babies to whisper to me?. Also everyone is very knowledgeable and attentive. The plants are priced reasonably and are quality plants”
“One of my favorite stores with every little trinket you can imagine! Great spot to find gifts for friends/family, or even for yourself. I love walking in here to just stroll around on my lunch break, even I don't intend to purchase. Love this shop!!!”
“Had a lovely time shopping here today! The staff was super friendly, high quality products with reasonable price, and everything in the store, even the receipt is so aesthetic!”
“I was having dinner at a new restaurant down the street and noticed all the amazing plants they had. I especially noticed this huge philodendron of some sort and asked the waitress where they got them so she sent here and glad she did as I had no idea this place even existed. They have no social media presence but I guess they don't need it. I bought a few cute plants and some pots. I also bought a couple gifts items like a framed butterfly and an olive oil soap.”
“Super knowledgeable and nice here. It’s not a huge store but has a pretty good variety of crystals and stones. Even has sage for nudging if you need. It’s got good parking and is quiet.”
“Wonderful collection of superlative rugs. Excellent website. I never felt as if I were being sold anything; I did receive prompt, top notch customer service from experts. I highly recommend.”
“I was in need of getting our house staged. Michelle was so helpful and understood/appreciated the 1950s vibe of the house. She was accommodating moving schedules around to make it work and sending over an estimate right away.”

“Absolutely love our new SOBU furniture!! Recently upgraded a few big items around our apartment, and after browsing all the big retailers in the area (Design Within Reach, Blu Dot, Room & Board, etc.) we stumbled on the Baker Tolv sofa and Radhi rug from SOBU.
Beautiful, bespoke, and reasonably priced compared to the stores mentioned above.
Completely transformed our space—bringing a modern and elevated aesthetic while still being warm and functional.
If you love Scandinavian design, California modernism, Sea Ranch inspired design, etc. you will love SOBU.
Wish we could furnish our entire home from here (we eventually might)!”
“So you want figure out your window covering including shade options. Pat has availability of all sorts of shades from electric to blackout to cloth to drapes. She also has a great Installation team who knows how to install the shades perfectly. I worked in a window covering company in New York and her team is as good as any. Pat comes to your house, help you pick out the right product and get it professionally installed. She comes up with great options. Get your windows covered without hassle. Check out my electric blackout shade.”

“One of my favorite stores in the East Bay area. Amazing collection of Chinese ceramics and porcelain for home and kitchen wares, especially plant pots and stands.”
“I have been working with Dee and Lara for over a year to reimagine and redesign nearly every room in my home. Their incredible eye for design and attention to the smallest detail sets them apart from the rest. They really take the time to get to know you and how you want your space to not only look and function, but feel. Every piece is thoughtfully and intentionally chosen to work with all the elements in a room. Aside from creating beautiful spaces, they operate with the highest integrity and transparency. They are also very lovely people that makes working together so enjoyable. Highly recommend!”

“I love this place! I was looking for a gift, but found cards, several books and things for my home, and some beautiful new earrings. I spent an hour and it was not enough to see and explore all of the treasures that are in there. Gift wrapping, helpful staff, and displays that offer great ideas are a plus.”

“We intended to go to world market but saw this place. Very interesting, they had the same styles at similar prices but of course the original (antique) is way better. Plus they have art, real art. Very cool.”
“I lost my keys while being excited looking around the store. T,the employee went and retrieved my keys for me. He happily showed me around. He had the professionalism of a top manager. I asked him,why wasn't he a manager. The furniture is top notch. Please don't waste your time or money going elsewhere. DIMENSIONAL OUTLET FURNITURE IS THE PLACE TO SHOP. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!”

“Wahing Trading is unfortunately closing which is such a bummer. Wahing has been open since 1996 and is closing down in 2021. The owner of Wahing decided it was time to retire and the property owner wanted to sell the building Wahing was in. I will miss you Wahing!”
“A friend just brought me here and it was so amazing, like stepping into a peaceful room filled with simple, beautiful treasures. A joy to linger and take it all in. I loved sampling several perfumes and body oils. I ended up buying one and it smells divine! Treat yourself to a visit here. Can’t wait to return and find thoughtful gifts.”
“Excellent customer service was on full display today as the store's employees calmly and professionally handled a very difficult customer. Despite offering multiple resolution options, the customer, clearly trying to provoke a confrontation, resorted to name-calling and unreasonable demands.
Aside from that incident, the store itself offers a variety of unique items that make great gifts for loved ones, or even a treat for yourself!”

“I spent the past few months visiting different stores while shopping for kitchen cabinets, and I eventually found myself at Sincere Decor. At first, I hesitated and wasn’t sure if I had come to the right place. However, after comparing prices with other stores I had visited, I found their pricing to be very reasonable.
During my visit, I had the pleasure of working with David Lin, who was incredibly helpful in designing my kitchen. David was courteous, professional, and friendly throughout the entire process. He patiently walked me through all the cabinet design options, answered every question I had, and took the time to ensure I fully understood each step. There was absolutely no pressure, which I truly appreciated.
His knowledge, patience, and attention to detail made what could have been a stressful decision much easier, and even enjoyable. David’s professionalism and genuine willingness to help truly reflect the high standard of customer service that Sincere Decor provides.
Because of his assistance, I felt confident and comfortable with my choices. I would like to congratulate Sincere Decor for having such a wonderful staff member.
Respectfully,
Sean D”
“I've popped in the Oakland shop many times over the years, to buy a few special gifts but mostly to feast my eyes on the wearable art. When my fiancé and I went in to look at rings, we had the honor of being helped by Laur. She was so patient and kind with our very different shopping styles, and it was obvious she truly enjoyed the process of helping us find the jewelry that spoke to us as individuals. We came back several times to try things on and think about it before making our choices, and Laur saved our favorites from previous visits and offered thoughtful new options we might not otherwise consider. Nothing about the process felt stuffy or pressured, but rather like she was the super stylish and knowledgable friend who you'd want to take ring shopping with you. We finally chose options we are both thrilled about, she was great about walking us through the process to get my fiancé's vintage band resized. Thanks Laur!”

“Our experience at Esqueleto was incredible! Kate was so communicative, kind, and creative when it came to designing my ring. We ended up going custom on mine and bought stock for my partner, and the sales associates helping us out with that were amazing.”
“Flew into town with no luggage not expecting a long stay luckily this Ross dress for less was not far. Considering the amount of mixed aged Clothing- I was still able to come up with something the location is super convenient next to the beauty supply that has all of the accessories that they don’t I might make traveling without luggage a thing now. Thanks Ross in the photo we have a Tommy Hilfiger waterproof purse, a pair of red strappys found in the shoe section a urban nation jersey and a button down sports bra by pro fit seamless”

“I reached out to Planterday regarding plant tips for a plant I didn’t even purchase from their store and they were incredibly helpful! I am so appreciative of their kindness, and they are extremely knowledgeable. 10/10! If I am ever in the area I will definitely be stopping by and picking up some new plants. Thanks again for all your help!”
