“Friendly and helpful staff. Prices are just as good if not better than Amazon. They have - no joke - everything you can think of. I was surprised at the options. You can also rent just about anything you can think of which is an awesome offering being that a lot of stuff (snowboarding, backpacking) is pretty pricey upfront if you buy everything.
Return policy is exceedingly generous, and if I remember correctly their membership seems to be one of the few out there that is worth it: $25 for lifetime membership with 10% off everything - you'll hit $25 in no time if you do outdoor stuff with any regularity. Very happy to have this spot local!”
“Came in with heel pain off and on for two weeks from using bad shoes to run and other aches & pains. Berto was so patient, it was almost closing. “Thanks to Tim at Athletic Outpost I can hike steep hills again without knee pain. After studying my stride, patiently listening to my issues and what activities I do, he outfitted me in a pair of shoes with a trail hiking vibram sole and a pair of compression calve sleeves. Made a world of difference. I can hike steep trails again without needing to resort to a knee brace or hiking poles. Or pain relieving meds afterwards. I am so grateful!”

“Kindest sporting retailer. Carl and his wife supported my two sons throughout their high school sporting endeavors. They are both patient, accommodating, kind, and compassionate. I could not thank them enough as a sports mom. They created a Letterman jacket that is a to-die-for special for my senior. Their customer service and kindness are what keeps us going back! When people ask me where should we get our Letterman jacket? I say Star Sports because of the care they take to make the experience special for the athlete and the family. “There are no other (!) swim shops in the larger Bay Area that sell competitive tech suits. Thank goodness for Elsmore in Walnut Creek! They have competitive suits and tech suits for youth and adults, goggles, caps, long swim coats, other clothing, and sandals. The young woman on the phone was so helpful in telling me available sizes, colors, and prices before I had to drive all the way out to them, and when we finally made it, just before closing, the young man helped us more as the size we thought would fit was actually too big! I just wanted to provide a thumbs up review so that people looking for competitive swimwear can find this store!”

Ended up talking to workers for almost an hour with them giving me really helpful advice on how to improve my game and what kinds of clubs to look out for as a beginner. Not only were the people working there helpful but other customers also ended up helping me out. Everything in the store price wise was comparable to items I see listed on Facebook marketplace most of the time the item was also in better condition.
