Land Bark Pet Supplies
3200 Riverside Blvd, SacramentoIn Land Park and looking for a pet supply store, we thought why not "Land Bark." My hubby and I were in the need of 2 things and staff member Angel was amazingly helpful! She showed us how to use the Spot Handi Drink Instant Dog Drinker we purchased, as well as their spout outside to fill it up! Definitely convenient for parks and road trips! She also recommended the company we love, Earth Rated for poop bags! We got the leak-proof Lavender-Scented, the bags are nice and long and they really block the odors! I would definitely recommend this small business that focuses on the wellbeing of your fur child! They have been in business now for 14 years. We'll be back to explore more!

The Rich Groomer
3291 Truxel Rd Unit 23, SacramentoCam is truly the best! He takes such great care of my dog, and his grooming skills are absolutely unmatched. I can’t recommend The Rich Groomer enough; I’ve never once been disappointed. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming, and it’s clear how much Cam genuinely cares about every dog that comes through the door.
Even with reactive dogs, he’s calm, patient, and makes them feel completely comfortable. Both of my dogs are always so excited to see him and leave looking (and feeling) amazing. I can’t rave enough about Cam and this establishment. Hands down the best grooming experience out there!

Pet Stylista
2717 Broadway, SacramentoWe are very pleased with the Pet Stylista. Our little 10lb dog is quite timid, and they are always very kind and gentle with him. We just go in for nails and (every other month) glands, so I can only speak to those services. I can say they do an excellent job, in a timely manner (less than 10 min with an appointment), and they are reasonable and friendly. I'm so glad we found them and we will continue to bring our pup here!

VIP Petcare Wellness Center
4710 Freeport Blvd, SacramentoI had such a great experience with VIP Petcare! The pre-registration process was simple and quick, and once I arrived, I was in and out within 15 minutes. I really appreciated that they didn’t try to upsell me on unnecessary services. In fact, they reviewed what I had chosen and even told me I didn’t need one of the add ons. That honesty goes a long way. The best part was the price. What I paid was extremely affordable. I usually leave the vet paying around $500 per cat, but this visit only cost me $52. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend VIP Petcare to other pet parents.

Broadway Veterinary Hospital
1632 Broadway, SacramentoDr. Sasha is truly a diamond in a rough and went above and beyond to ensure my cats received quality care. I’ve seen a lot of vets over the years, and none of them have been as kind and down to earth as Dr. Sasha. During the exam, she sat on the ground with my cats and was giving them all the pets and love while she was talking to me about their health history. I’ve never seen my cat so calm in someone else’s arms. Many, MANY vets have commented on my cats weight, but none did it with as much kindness and genuine concern as Dr. Sasha. I wish more human doctors could be this way! Highly recommend!

Midtown Animal Hospital
1917 P St, SacramentoI’ve been to Midtown Animal Hospital several times over the last three years for my two cats—most visits planned in advance, with one or two semi-emergencies—and the staff is consistently warm and seems to like cats. We’ve gotten in and out relatively quickly every time. On one visit, the vet I worked with downplayed my tuxedo cat’s major anxiety (he always pants, cries, and pees himself when he’s out in a carrier), but on my recent visit, the vet prescribed him gabapentin, for which I am extremely grateful.

Midtown Mutts
5524 Elvas Ave # A, SacramentoI recommend ‘Midtown Mutts’ swiftly and without hesitation to anyone who asks me about dog care. I have been using them exclusively for the past year. My pup was 6 months when I started using them for dog sitting. Honestly, I have nothing but good things to say about them.
They’re knowledgeable, professional, responsible, and caring. The reports at the end of each visit are phenomenal. Every sitter I have met has been approachable and respectful. For some reason they’re all photographers and professional dog trainers too!? I don’t know how they do it. They know all my boys quirks and know when something is off. Plus, they’re super accommodating with any of my request and when there are changes in his routine.
It’s super rare to get your moneys worth nowadays but with Midtown Mutts I feel that it’s worth every cent. I truly don’t know what my pup and I would do without them! Like seriously, I wanted to move to a different town and they were a huge factor in my decision to stay. If I had moved I would have been outside their service area. I couldn’t do it ?
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone at Midtown Mutts that makes this level of excellence possible!

She always has a blast at the ranch and I know she's in good hands with someone who loves her as much as I do. It's also nice to leave my baby in a home rather than a kennel, she can snuggle with Starr and watch cartoons and I know she's not lonely or nervous. I recommend the ranch for anyone with a spoiled little dog they want taken care of!

American River Canine
4417 Baron Ave, SacramentoAmerican River Canine saved our family! About two years ago, my fiancé and I adopted a German Shepherd named Bear from the Sacramento SPCA. Bear was, and still is, an energetic, fun-loving, sweet dog. He just wasn't friendly towards other dogs or cats. Bear would growl, lunge, and chase any other animal near him. Walking him just around the block was challenging because he would tug and try to go after other dogs and cats. It turns out that what we were interpreting as aggression, was actually pent-up excitement in Bear. Deric's extensive knowledge in psychology along with his years of experience working with dogs opened our eyes on how to better understand and communicate with Bear. Deric helped us work with Bear on commands like "place", "here", "out" and "leave it". Working on these commands seemed more like training for us humans, but it all paid off in the end. Nowadays, Bear is a much more obedient dog who can be in the same room as our cats without growling or trying to run after them. Walking Bear is no longer a scary activity. It is something we can do with ease. We even take Bear out in public places like Home Depot, PetSmart, and Iron Horse. We are also in the process of adopting another dog for our family too! Both Bear and our newer dog attend Deric's doggie daycare, The Nature of Dogs, twice a week. I can honestly say that if it weren't for Deric, we probably would have rehomed Bear. I am forever grateful for the dedication and insight Deric has given to our family. I would 100% highly recommend American River Canine for any of your canine training needs!

3D Dog Training Sac
4710 Freeport Blvd, SacramentoMy puppy was 6 months old when I came across Devon at 3D Dog Training flyer at Pet Food Express. I did a private session and from that moment forward I just knew she was a perfect fit. I ultimately moved ahead with the board and train which was by far the best decision I ever made. Fast forward over a year later and I continue with her monthly membership service. I learn more and more each training session. And let me just say the progress my dog continues to make I could not have done it without Devon. She goes out of her way to make sure I succeed in training my dog and has also given me the skills on how to be the best dog owner. I highly recommend Devon. She has great training methods and no training question goes unanswered.

Lucky Buddy Petcare
5960 S Land Park Dr #305, SacramentoLucky Buddy and Janet in particular are life savers! I have three large dogs that I have trouble trusting anyone to care for. I've always had my parents take care of my pets and Vice versa. When I moved too far away from them I interviewed about a dozen pet sitters and Janet blew them all out of the water. I love to hike and back pack but two of my boys can't handle steep hills or overnight trips anymore and Janet takes excellent care of them for me. She sends me pictures and updates, goes above and beyond with care, and respects all of my wishes and concerns. Dexter and Walter love her and I love being able to get away and know they're safe and cared for. Can not say enough good things.

Albree Dog Training
3501 59th St, SacramentoI have been training with Bonny my german shepherd with Allbree. Before Bonny was in this 3 weeks training away, that did nothing. When I picked her up she was skinnier and afraid much more that when she went in, and trained at all.
Bonny is 6 years old German Shepherd, reactive. After we started with Alan, with recommendations and Alan answering question and updates, she is doing significantly better, working to get her more confident. Alan and Renee offers a variety of tips and tools, and accommodating Bonny to get her trained and still some ways to go. She is very afraid and I got her not as a puppy. I strongly recommend their training.

It's not overly sweet and you can tell it's made with love and wholesome ingredients, PLUS locally owned business and run by the sweetest couple?? I am SOLD. I am never going anywhere else. We dined there this evening and enjoyed the charcuterie plate accompanied by a perfectly paired champagne. The three of us all had the beef Stroganoff (pictured) for our entree.
Dare I say it was transcendant! The generous portion of New York steak, perfect fettucine, and an absolutely Heavenly sauce was world class.

6004 Freeport Blvd, SacramentoKind of missed the mark this time... I've been here before but it was years ago and possibly under different ownership. I love the location and the cute building attached to a car repair garage, though this was a delivery order. I ordered the crab fried rice after reading the glowing Yelp reviews- despite requesting spicy, it was unfortunately bland. I added sriracha and made it a bit tastier. We also tried the drunken noodles with pork and those had better flavor. Good, not great. Still, a decent stop to grab a bite of food. I'd go back to my regular basil fried rice.

West Coast Pet Memorial Services - Sacramento
4601 Pell Dr, SacramentoLosing a pet is like losing a family member. We can't tell you how helpful Abigail (Abby) has been helping us throughout the process. She made sure that our dog was respected every step of the special services and cremation process. She was patient, kind, and understanding of our wants and needs. Because of Abigail, we would 1000% recommend West Coast Pet Memorial Services in Sacramento. And because of her, I know that our dog was loved and cared for. Thank you so much, Abigail, for showing our family love and compassion through our grieving. Thank you for answering our questions 3-5 times over and over again. Thank you for respecting our dog, Meebo. We appreciate you and West Coast Pet Memorial Services. For those of you who've lost a pet and decide to get them cremated, I would highly suggest this place. Before the special services (if you want this option) and cremation process, you can have a private good-bye with your pet. They have a private room via appointment only and has water and coffee. The private room viewing with your pet allows you to say good-bye one last time before they are taken to get special services and cremated. Special services is where you get can clay prints or ink prints of paws or noses of your pet, get a lock of your pets hair, etc done for you to have as a memory. In the hallway entrance and private viewing room, there are also urns that you can choose from to put your pets ashes in. I like that there were a lot of options available for us to choose from. Once again, I would highly suggest this place.
