All of them are truly pleasant, nice people, but I do want to give a shout-out to Cindy who is particularly off the charts when it comes to welcoming me, with or without my dogs, seeing her when I walk in always brings a smile to my face. 606 W Covell Blvd, DavisI never thought I would be a cat person or own a cat until I visited here. It took one visit for me to absolutely fall in love with my kitty and know I needed to adopt him. The amazing workers here are passionate about what they do and answered my million questions about my kitty and helped calm my anxiety on doing anything wrong. Of course temperament, personality, and history will impact how an animal is, but my Luke came home loving everyone and desensitized to touch including on his paws and belly. The adoption process was smooth and included checking out my kitty with their vet where I got to ask even more questions and leave feeling well prepared. I appreciate how listened I felt and how I never felt rushed or that I was being annoying for all of my questions. Great place to adopt a cat and i’m sure they do an amazing job at all of their other services too ♥️

South Davis Veterinary Center
4615 Cowell Blvd, DavisWe have not been with this office very long as we recently moved to Davis, but so far I am happy with the services. We have cats and a dog. The staff are welcoming. Dr. Phillips and her techs have been amazing and the orthopedic surgeon they use was also fabulous. Their prices are average to high compared to what I am used to, but I appreciate the extra touches (reminders, follow-up phone calls, ability to text a question). This is the furthest vet in Davis from us, but after some research I'm glad I chose them and I'm sure our fur babies agree. The initial visit deposit may seem frustrating, but it protects their appointment times which I can appreciate as a regular client.

Sadly it was time to say goodbye to our well loved old lab. They came to the house and with care and consideration aided us through the difficult time.

The doctors and all of the students were very professional and gave her the best care we could have wanted for her.
In her passing we were asked if we would like a paw print. I was expecting an ink print on paper. We got a plaster casting of her paw.
UC Davis has gone above everything we could have expected in her care and in her passing.

Banfield Pet Hospital
1411 W Covell Blvd #101, DavisI chose this place just because it was close to my house and I couldn't have been luckier. I've interfaced with probably close to 20 vets in my lifetime and Dr. Christenson is the best I've ever had. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable, she is also compassionate and caring. She remembered who I was every time I came in and truly seemed to want what was best for my cats. When I made an informed decision abouty cats' care, she never tried to change my mind. One of my cats just also really liked her and acted comfortable around her, which made the whole vet process much less traumatic. If we weren't moving and we could keep coming here forever and seeing Dr. Christenson, we would.
I would recommend the Optimum Wellness Plan as well if you can fit it into your budget. It saved me money over time and gave me great piece of mind. You get access to this online chat staffed by vet techs, which I really like. This Banfield was also great at accommodating us when we needed immediate care, and the one time they couldn't help us with the emergency at hand, they sent us to Mayfair in Dixon and made the transition as smooth as possible. It was also nice to know that if something happened while we were visiting my parents, we could go to the Banfield over there and it would be relatively easy.

The whole team clearly loves animals, takes excellent care of pets, and the prices are amazing for the services provided!I've been using Kelsey's since 2017, and I have had an excellent experience each time they've cared for both my previous and current cats. My previous cat had specific medical needs toward the end of her life, and Kelsey and the team did a great job of making sure she got her medication and special food so that she was safe and comfortable. My current cat is extremely shy about strangers, but she is a huge fan of everyone on the team—we get many adorable pictures of her demanding attention and playtime from them when we're gone.The fact that Kelsey's is licensed, insured, and bonded is the final piece that makes KCC awesome. Knowing that Kelsey and the team take safety and security seriously means I have total peace of mind when leaving a pet in their care.
