I think this may be the first time I’ve ever written a review for someone who actually worked in the Collections Department and was actively perusing me…
I’m fairly certain it will be the only one.
I never met an individual with more understanding and integrity than Dawn.
When I fell behind on the payments on my motorcycle, she helped me find the solution without berating, without insulting, and without condescending. In a way she even became a bit of a surrogate mother, trying to guide me on how to get out of the hole, I’d managed to dig myself into.
With patience and guidance, she was able to help me resolve this problem and get everything back on track.
I’ve banked with UMe for over 20 years, and I’m not exactly “the easiest customer” to deal with. Truth be told, I can be a bit of an asshole. But Dawn knew how to handle it/me.
She’s a rare breed.
Dawn Smith is a true credit to this organization. I’m still to this day, not entirely sure who the president of this particular bank is, but whoever is in charge… you need to give this woman a raise. I’m absolutely certain she has earned it!

“I love UCSCU!! My husband has been a member since the early 90s. I joined his accounts when we got married. Our kids joined as they got old enough to need their own accounts. Our youngest got a great rate on a car loan and it was super easy. We always get excellent service and we are treated very well whenever we come in. Several times I have called with a question or an issue and the staff helps me without ever treating me like an inconvenience. I love the way online services have grown over the years. I appreciate being able to zelle my rent payment and receive zelle transfers from my kids for the shared phone plan. Being a non employee, I will always miss visiting the actual Universal branch (employees only now) but Burbank has never let me down and I understand this change came from the company and not the credit union. Thank you UCSCU for being SO MUCH better that all of my previous banking experiences and giving us the resources to teach our children about banking in a safe, welcoming space!!”

“I needed a copy of an old check to prove I made a payment and was having trouble using the app. I went in to the branch inside the John Ferrero building and Nadia Vallecillos and Angel Rodriguez were amazingly helpful. Not only were they able to obtain the copy of the check, they did so after going above and beyond an effort I was expecting. “Well, Vicky is a goddess. She pulled strings like no one else at year end to provide us with a very time sensitive auto loan check. Forgot to mention, we arrived with only 5 min before closing so she could have threw us out with no issue, but she didn't, she took the loan on herself and powered through a lengthy process in under 40 mins to get us the check. This was above and beyond the call, and for that we thank Vicky and the branch manager for taking care of their members. Reasons like this is why I stay with Partners Credit Union.”

She replaced my friends debit card and opened a 2nd checking acct for myself in less than 30 minutes!! (We know cause we payed for 30 minutes of parking)
She also informed us that there are 5 designated parking spots behind the bank on Broadway.
While we were being helped another representative came and offered us snacks and drinks! We left handled and happy!! Thanks DANILA and staff! ! This is definately our new and favorite branch!”

“2/5/25: Building is nearly impossible to enter. YOU MUST ENTER OFF Los Angeles STREET through the staff parking lot. If you do not know this, you will waste 20 minutes walking around the stupid building. It is infuriating. God help you if you are disabled and trying to do this. Also, they basically just trapped all of their employees in a giant fire hazard, so they will all burn to death because they won’t be able to leave the building quickly enough, in the event of a fire. Staff at the bank is fine.”
