Mountain Tails
506 Elk Ave, Crested ButteSuch a nice and helpful shop! They allowed our doggo to go into and try out the sweaters, super friendly, gave her treats and chatted about the town. Highly recommend for pup treats, leashes, collars and warm gear!

Pet Care

Animal Hospital-Crested Butte
427 Red Lady Ave, Crested ButteWaking up in the camper van to our terrier mix with an eye crusted over, we needed to find a vet fast. it was surgery day, with the office short staffed, yet Dr Ramos took our pup in and skillfully removed a large grass seed from below her cornea. Medicated and back on the road quickly, we were both grateful and impressed by the care and expediency of this wonderful Vet. Thank you!!!

215 Elk Ave, Crested ButteLOVE love love the Himalayan food menu! It’s delicious and unique - chicken tikka will be my go-to forever, and this has become a favorite Crested Butte food spot. Great vibe, cool outdoor seating when the weather’s nice.

The Secret Stash
303 Elk Ave, Crested ButteI can’t recommend this place enough! It was already our favorite spot in Crested Butte, but they’ve just taken it up a notch. Unable to be there in person tonight, Joel was amazing in helping make sure that tonight’s experience was amazing from afar. Some of our incredible and brave friends decided to bring TWELVE 15-year-old boys to CB on a trip and Joel helped me cover the cost of dinner from far away so that it could be a surprise to the awesome couple who hosts that many teenagers for winter break. They loved the pizza (as always) and we got to feel like we contributed a tiny bit towards an amazing first night of an epic trip. Thank you Joel and Secret Stash… you are the best!!!

Camp 4 Coffee
402 1/2 Elk Ave, Crested ButteI love this place! It's just a small shop with no inside seating but a few patio spots. Everytime I visit here the baristas are so kind, welcoming and genuinely ask how you are and care about your business. The coffee is the best in Gunnison/CB. I get and iced or hot vanilla latte every time and it's so consistently good.

Pitas in Paradise
302 Elk Ave, Crested ButteThis is my go to Greek spot in CB. Amazing food! Very quick service. Nice bar atmosphere. Tons of TVs and cozy vibe- but the food is so good! The og gyro is delicious and so are the salads. Can't go wrong with either. Nice thing gyro meet but plenty of good! Good portions sizes and fresh quality.

Breadery
209 Elk Ave, Crested ButteThis is a must-visit every time we are in Crested Butte - wonderful menu, atmosphere and service. They sell their wonderful sourdough loaves when they open as well, though they do seem to sell quickly. Reservations require a deposit and also fill up quickly.
We've enjoyed their salads, mocktails, sourdough flatbreads, and pasta dishes.
Someone was getting openly fussy over having reservations and walking up to a line at opening, so just to put this out there - if there's a line at opening, it moves very, very quickly once the doors open.

Paradise Cafe
435 6th St, Crested ButteParadise Cafe is a great breakfast nook located in Crested Butte. Diverse menu offering a wide variety of breakfast standards in a quaint mountain town dining area. Attentive service kept the meal flowing. We started with Camp 4 Coffee as both a drip and espresso and could not have had a better way to start breakfast. Or so we thought. We saw several of the other tables having the Bloody Mary and we jumped in head first - Paradise's Bloody was the perfect eye opener for a day on the slopes. We ordered the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and the #4 which is two eggs, hot Polish sausage and a pancake (served with optional REAL maple syrup - frankly, faux maple syrup is an abomination that needs to be banned in all 50 states!) The dishes were delicious, portions were generous, and we could not have been more pleased . Next time we will try the Huevos Rancheros which neighboring tables were tucking into with great abandon. We are regulars at McGills but are very pleased to have discovered Paradise which is now part of our breakfast rotation in Crested Butte.

Tin Cup Ice Cream & Desserts
620 Gothic Rd, Crested ButteCute ice cream shop right off elk street. So many options, the usual “traditional” flavors and also some creative ones. We did the flight with strawberry, lemon chèvre, cinnamon cayenne honey, and sweet & salty almond. Strawberry was 4/10, meh. Almond was 6/10, good but not great. Lemon was 7/10…creamy and good flavor. Cinnamon cayenne honey 10/10…11/10! I was hesitant to get that flavor because I feel like “spicy” flavors are hard to accomplish. The balance of flavors was on point. It was sweet with a warm finish, not overly spicy. Complex flavor profile that was executed to perfection. Loved it.
