The team here goes above and beyond—not only are the cuts perfect, but they also add adorable little touches, like feathers, that make our dogs look so cute - and stylish ;) You can really tell how much they care about the animals and the work they do. We were from out of town and passing through Durango on our way from Oregon back to Pittsburgh, PA. As we were walking through town after hiking, Rosco started drinking water from a bowl outside of one of the gift shops. He started drinking way too fast but by the time we pulled him away from the bowl it was too late. A couple minutes later he started showing symptoms of bloat. He was trying to vomit and nothing was coming out. He then got in a hunched over posture and looked “bloated”. We immediately drove over to Riverview Animal Hospital as it seemed like the highest ranked vet in the area off of my quick google search. I am so thankful we chose to come here. They were QUICK. Once was expressed our concern for his stomach flipping, they took him back for an X-ray IMMEDIATELY!! I knew the news was bad when Dr. Amy came out a few moments later and told us we needed the surgery now or that he would not make it. Not only were they great with Rosco but they were great with us as well. By the time we got that news we were emotionally pretty unwell. The surgery took a few hours and Rosco came out alive and well. Nearly 3 weeks later I’m writing this review. Rosco is 100% back to his normal energy filled self. I have nothing but gratitude for everyone here!! Dr. Amy is incredible and you can tell she is compassionate about what she does.

The room with all of the plants is amazing! The vet did her exams with them on the floor to make them more comfortable, and even had some catnip from her garden. They are also very efficient.

Centennial Center, 305 S Camino Del Rio ste o, DurangoDiane does a fantastic job of walking humans through the processes involved in training their dogs. Like with any class, the more homework you do, the more you and your dog will enjoy the class and grow with each other.
The facility is clean, and since it's inside Creature Comforts, my dog already loves going there.

The entire staff is incredibly knowledgeable, and they have experience with dogs with special needs, dogs with reactivity, and more. They all very clearly LOVE dogs, and love what they do. I love when we board my dog and get to see his photo on their Instagram page. We will never board my dog anywhere else in Durango!

The Rochester Hotel

The hotel itself is beautifully appointed with lovely decor and a timeless ambiance. The staff are friendly, accommodating and helpful. The rooms are elegant and have been laid out very well. All of the details have been thought of.

309 W College Dr, DurangoOrdered the kimchi ramen and the tonkotsu ramen. The kimchi ramen was very flavorful and savory! Portion sizes were huge as well.
(The menu says there is shellfish in the tonkotsu ramen dish, so we asked the server where the shellfish was in the dish and we never got an answer. I’m assuming it’s in the Naruto fish cake! But just a heads up for anyone with a shellfish allergy to be careful?) Very very small indoor seated area but a little hidden gem.

1021 Main Ave, DurangoMy husband and I shared a waffle cone with: - Pumpkin Spice - Pear Sorbet - Mixed Berry Crisp - Strawberry Balsamic The strawberry balsamic and pear were my favorites. The pear flavor was so intense--I loved it. The balsamic was the perfect addition to strawberry and it was one of the best strawberry ice cream flavors I've had. The mixed berry crisp was mostly vanilla--it needed more mixed berry. I don't think the pumpkin spice was vegan, but it was kind of dry and not very creamy like non-dairy ice cream frequently is. They have some really great flavors, but unfortunately they don't do samples. I honestly considered not getting anything because of this. Hopefully you can get lucky and get flavors you like because there are some really good ones.
