After multiple visits to traditional veterinarians, we kept hitting dead ends. Bloodwork, X-rays, antibiotics—nothing seemed to help, and my ferret continued to decline.
Dr. Strange took a completely different approach. Through a holistic evaluation, she was able to identify what his body needed. She created a homeopathic treatment plan, gave him cold lazer treatment and acupuncture that helped him regain his strength and energy. Watching him come back to life has been nothing short of incredible!
If you’re looking for a holistic veterinarian who truly looks at the whole animal, Dr. Strange is an absolute gift. Her knowledge, intuition, and compassionate care made all the difference for us, and I will be forever grateful!

Alpine Animal Hospital
2910 Main Avenue, DurangoOver the last 3 years, we've seen all 3 vets for our dogs and cat. Each vet has been exceptional taking the time to make our nervous pets feel comfortable-even getting on the floor with our small dog! Each vet has been attentive to our concerns about our pets, and answers all questions to our satisfaction. Care advised (i.e. tooth cleaning, blood work) has been warranted and prices are reasonable. The staff is also helpful, giving me pointers on nail trimming, etc. It's obvious that all in the office care about providing competent and caring health care. I strongly recommend Alpine for your pet's needs.

42 Co Rd 250 Suite 200, DurangoCalled to get my dog spayed. They were booked for a couple weeks, and I passed off my situation as needing it sooner than later, which in my mind was accurate. But due to the thorough education the receptionist gave me, I was enlightened that it would be better to wait numerous weeks after the dog was past her first heat. She could have just been direct with her answer and that was it, but she inquired about what kind of dog it was, etc. Another place in town I called was just matter of fact, and almost rude as if this is what we recommend, and that's it. The size of the dog, the type of dog, none of it mattered. A red flag. This lady was very nice and patient with my questions. I'll definitely be taking my dog here when the time comes. The other 2 places I've dealt with in Durango I'd be wary of.

I also appreciated how she explained her intentions, observations and findings to me in detail. She was wonderful! Also, the office staff and vet techs were friendly from initial scheduling call to checkout and follow-up the next day.

But when I came to pick her up, she seemed very happy and seemed like she enjoyed her time there. The staff told me about how my dog did in their care. Was a lot of fun to hear their stories about my pup. The staff really seem to genuinely love dogs which I very much appreciated. Thanks for taking good loving care of my dog!

598 Main Avenue, DurangoMichel is a wonderful, kind man. He's so sweet and will chit-chat if you're social. Friendly, he makes your crepes from scratch. Some dessert items are made with his homemade recipes. Husband and I go multiple times per year. Michel's apprentice does a good job as well. Favorite savory crepes are Ham & Gruyer, Turkey & Green Chili, and Salmon & Capers. Sweet Crepes Favorites are Spiced Plum Jam, chocolate & banana, and apple-cinnamon-caramel with walnuts. We love you Michel!

726 East 2nd Avenue, DurangoGreat location in historic downtown Durango off the Main Street . Very spacious rooms with boutique hospitality. The Peeples bar is a nice spot to grab a drink before or after dinner. Would stay here again and recommend to others traveling to Durango. The hotel staff are all very friendly, kind and welcoming.
