“Called 5 different pharmacy to find anywhere that could order a certain prescription for me. All said no. Call Duval Pharmacy and they ordered it same day and I was able to pick it up the next day! That is amazing service to me! I recommend! Plus the prescription was cheaper than what Walgreens had initially quoted me before they said they couldn’t preorder order it.”

“Publix is great, the store deserves 5 stars if it were not for the pharmacy. Personnel there is incompetent to say the least. I even got Medicare on the phone with them and their representative gave up as suggested I go to another pharmacy, which for that prescription I had to do. Publix had the medication but could not get the billing right, charging full price for a covered medication that I then got across the street from CVS immediately and without a hassle. This has happened frequently with different medications. Makes me wonder if they even dispense the right stuff. Mentioned it to store management. They were aware of issues but apparently have no control over the pharmacy.”
“This afternoon we had a stellar performance by Jeff at the deli. Now I tend to order the vegan meatless club much to the chagrin of the employees. I sometimes get eye rolls because they know theyre going to have to go get some ingredients that arent on the line however Jeff was a saint full of grace. He went and got the stuff and made my sandwich dutifully with no sass or bad vibes. Truly a gentleman and a professional. Special supporting thanks to Keegan.”

They weren’t out yet, so the gentlemen behind the counter offered to make just the ones I needed right then. I said I was going to walk around and come back to get them, but one of them took the time to come find me at the front of the store to hand me the freshly made parfaits. Publix never disappoints!”

But nothing has ever compared to the joy and happiness I received from working in the Deli at Publix on the corner of SanPablo and Beach Blvd across from a church who believe has the greatest praise and worship team in the City(church of eleven 22)! Not only was today one of the most heartfelt loving days of my life. But, seeing so many of the amazing people smiles I had the pleasures of working with and for was priceless! From hugs to smiles and even some accolades that were so desperately needed I nearly let lose tears of joy. “I’d like to start out by saying that I’m absolutely thrilled that there are still a few Winn-Dixie around, I came here thinking I’d save a dollar or two eating at the hot bar while I grabbed a few items for my weekend trip. Usually the hot bar is pretty banging. This one just seemed to have a bunch of really random stuff that looked really old. The rice, the macaroni and cheese, the ravioli, a second kind of rice, it was all dried at the top. And I don’t know if you’ve ever had rice it was not moist, but it’s just like rice that isn’t cooked. It’s very offputting when you add it to your mouth. I was a little confused that the food wasn’t being stirred or rotated being that there was an attendant at the food bar asking if anyone needed anything. Yeah, we need some food that doesn’t look like it’s going to kill us.
We need some food that isn’t from yesterday.
It’s Friday… There was a lot of people in there. You could probably sell a decent amount of food if people look like they would survive the weekend if they ate it.
Another thing that I thought was pretty weird, was OK, Winn-Dixie has always been known as “the beef people “ but they have this little tiny section of steaks. The case might be 10 feet long. I’m glad it wasn’t a steak emergency. I would’ve been hard pressed to find something. If I wanted a disappointing selection of steaks, I would’ve gone to Walmart.
Hope to see an improvement next time I go to the store.

“Winn Dixie has come a long way, and survived, surprisingly. This location is always immaculate and the selection of specialty foods has improved. I'm still a bigger fan of Publix because the BOGO deals are better and shopping experience more pleasant.”
