I was used to being directly involved in her medical care, so trusting a new team with her health was a big adjustment.
I spent a lot of time researching hospitals and reading reviews before deciding on this practice, and I am so glad I did. From the very beginning, this hospital stood out as the kind of place I was looking for: a small, privately owned practice focused on providing thoughtful, personalized, high-quality care.
Before making an appointment, I emailed the hospital to explain what I was looking for and share a little about my grumpy senior cat, including my concerns about how stressed she can become during veterinary visits. I was hoping for some guidance about what to expect and how the team might accommodate her needs. The doctor was the person who responded and with such a detailed, thoughtful, and reassuring email. I wasn't even a client yet, and she had already taken the time to address my concerns in a way that made me feel supported. I know how much time and effort that kind of communication takes, and I truly appreciated it.
The in-person experience was just as wonderful. The doctor and her team were patient, compassionate, and genuinely attentive to both my cat’s comfort and my own stress as her owner. They took their time, considered her individual needs, and made the visit go far better than I ever expected.
I cannot express how thankful I am that we found this practice. I have tremendous respect for a privately owned, one-doctor practice that manages to provide this level of care while still making clients feel like their pets truly matter. The pricing is also refreshingly affordable, which is another wonderful bonus.
If you are looking for a veterinary hospital that values personalized care, thoughtful communication, compassion, and your pet’s individual needs, I highly recommend this practice. I am so grateful to have found a team I can trust with my girl’s care, and I feel very fortunate to support a small, independently owned business that clearly puts its patients first.

2001 Bobcat Village Center Road, North PortI recently relocated to Florida from North Carolina. With so many reviews floating around social media, it was hard to choose a vet for my dog. After having a bad experience in Punta Gorda, Toledo blade did not disappoint. When I called to schedule an appointment, the receptionist was polite & warm. You do have to provide a deposit for appointments, but it goes directly towards your bill. The Veterinarian who cared for my dog during his visit was excellent. He provided me with more information & knowledge than any other vet I’ve seen in the past. He truly listened to my concerns, provided a solution, all while educating me. After my french bulldog started his meds, he’s been bouncing around like he did when he was a puppy. ❤ The vet tech was also kind and informative. The prices here are extremely fair. They even called to follow up with my pup to see how he was feeling after our appointment. (This never happens). Prescription process was easy. They sent me a link to their online pharmacy. After purchasing my dogs medication, the pharmacy contacts the vet for approval & sends your meds to your address. Not once did I feel coached to purchase unnecessary testing or have unnecessary procedures done. This place did everything but drain my money. Please don’t listen to any negative reviews. Try them for yourself. 🫶

North PortWhen finding a place to board your dog, it can often be a stressful endeavor. However, JJ’s dog yard daycare and boarding, helped alleviate much of that stress! Before we even got the opportunity to board our chocolate lab, Lily, we did a meet and greet. Not only did I think that this was a smart move so they could know for sure that Lily was someone they could take care of, but it also showed a deep understanding on how to take care of a dog with maximum efficiency and care. We were sent pictures and videos daily of Lily enjoying her time there and she looked like she was having a ball! (And sometimes taking one ?) While it made us miss our baby even more, it made us happy to see she was being treated as if she was part of the family. My usual complaint with dog boarding services is that during the night they are unattended and there’s not someone on site who can deal with an issue should it arise. Luckily, JJ’s had someone on-site the whole time which served to ease the worry of my girlfriend and I. Lily was boarded for seven days and came back a happy girl and that’s really all we can ask for. Thank you so much for an amazing experience, and you best believe I’ll be using their services in the future. I cannot recommend JJ’s enough for people who want that little bit of extra care for their furry family member.

Our party of 26 sat comfortably in the Gulf Room. The entire experience was fabulous from start to finish. Our servers, Amy and John, were friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic! Everyone loved their meals.
