I don’t know a lot about fish, yet, but their costs seemed reasonable. Their fish food and decor is definitely reasonable. They have a lot of salt water options and a good amount of freshwater options available to buyers. Def think it’s worth a stop in.

110 Shamrock Blvd, VeniceTruly a wonderful animal hospital: transparent, caring, and polite! They helped with my daughter’s young cat who had just given birth to kittens a few days ago. I rushed in holding the mother cat as she was giving birth, with the first kitten literally landing in my hand. The staff quickly took her, placed her in a safe cage with bedding, and reassured me: “She’s doing great, just take her back home, and if there are any complications, come back.” They didn’t charge me for the visit and even let us keep the cage with bedding. Such kindness and compassion mean so much, thank you!

I knew both he and wife had shown their dogs at dog shows for years, but learned that they have a successful training business... I signed us up for his beginner class and can't tell you how great of an experience it was... Our dog became by far the best trained, most obedient dog we have ever had..Just an absolute joy to be around.. It was exceptional. We were greeted by Gisele, a long-time friend and an excellent wait staff - Personable, Professional, Efficient!!! We were not rushed at all. The beet salad was so delicious, in a very yummy dressing. The Alaskan Black Cod was moist and melted in your mouth in a very complimentary sauce and accompanied by grilled asparagus. The duck in the blueberry sauce was cooked to perfection at medium rare, accompanied by Gratin Dauphinois. Dessert was Caramelia Creme Brulee served with vanilla ice cream. We loved everything - the staff, the ambiance, and the food. I highly recommend Longet for a premier dining experience. My only regret - We neglected to take any photos as we were too busy savoring our the dishes!

200 Base Ave E, VeniceI saw Parise’s on The Sarasota View and decided to drive from Sarasota to Venice to try their cannoli’s and coffee for breakfast. The coffee is amazing. Much better than Starbucks and less expensive. I had a pumpkin mousse and New York cannoli. Unbelievable. They also had Sicilian , cheesecake and peanut butter cannoli’s available as well as other pastries. I took one of their “bowls” home for lunch. Delicious. The husband and wife team are cordial and delightful. There is some outside seating under the trees. I most highly recommend going for some very delicious food. They have many other lunch dishes. Check their Facebook page for hours and the changing daily menu.

323 W Venice Ave, VeniceAbsolutely delicious! High quality food made on premises, at request where reasonable. While my dish was gluten free, the baked goods are made right in the shop by the chef and I regret not having snatched a whole loaf for myself to take home.
I had a soup and salad special & felt it was just the right amount to fill me up without making me feel stuffed. The portions while generous are of a European size rather than an American over abundance, & As the food is a high quality, you will leave satisfied.
Tweaks & options appear to exist but you just need to ask. For example, the scrambled egg special became a delightful, fluffy omelette. I had read the online menu listed on Google the night before and was surprised to see a lot of the options listed were not actually on the chalkboard menu, so whatever you see listed here online, please take as a suggestion of what might be available rather than a guarantee. It's easy to see why when you realize that the chef is standing in front of you and only makes what item are comprised of the fresh components they're able to find in season at the markets.
As an example, I overheard a discussion regarding what was available to make up smoothies as it seems highly personalized, not anything you'd expect from place that works off of powder bases for nutritional support.
Lastly, the chef/owner is a delightful human and deserves the support of this community. I couldn't help myself and asked about their background as a chef. Had no idea someone could go through culinary training in a exclusively vegetarian manner. Really quite remarkable. I will be back again the next time I come through Venice!
