362 W Dearborn St., EnglewoodThis place is kinda of bland during the day when it's all closed up which adds to the excitement when it opens. As you walk in past the outdoor bar there is an inside dining area with a bar, nice but then you go through the doors and you are in an outside patio which is beautifully lit and has a huge decorated tree. There is a stage and plenty of table and seating. This is where we had dinner and listened to Sweet Fleet a Fleetwood Mac cover band. Food was great , service was great (and it was busy) but to add to it the band was awesome ($10 cover charge). I've lived here 6 years and this was our first time and we are going back. I can't believe this is in our little town. What a jewel.

115 West Dearborn Street, EnglewoodGreat coffee and the Venice Ave eggs benedict was the best I've ever had! It had grilled tomato, blackened shrimp, bacon, avocado, and poached eggs. Literally every component was perfectly cooked. I could taste the lemon juice in the hollandaise sauce, and the sauce wasn't broken. It perfectly balanced the heavier ingredients. The home fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and there were just enough of them. The food was beautifully plated too. Literal perfection!

The Backyard at Skip’s Marina
1990 Placida Road, EnglewoodThis is a great taste of old Florida. They have a limited menu but the quality and quantity are great. I thoroughly enjoyed the cheesesteak sandwich with sweet potato fries. They even offered a free beer with our entre. The atmosphere is laid backed and relaxed under a massive tiki hut. There is a large outdoor seating area beyond the tiki hut and Adirondack chairs by the docks. This is definitely one of those places you should visit by boat. They have live music at times, though when we visited, they were just playing recorded tunes with a beach vibe.
They don't have a wait staff. you place an order with the bar tender and then pick it up at what looks like a food truck. the staff was very friendly and a pleasure to talk with. i would highly recommend this place for an informal meal when you have time to hang, chill and relax.

Every time I eat at Artur’s, either dining in or pick-up I’ve gotten food like I would cook at home, and that means a lot! And the staff is very nice and helpful! I recently had the stuffed cabbage and it was delicious.

The cat pods are unlike anything I've ever seen at a shelter; they offer the perfect, cozy environment for the cats who are available for adoption. There's an onsite vet clinic, holding area for new intake animals, and much more. There are also 3 rescued cabybarra sisters who live in their own tiny house on the property.
