We adopted a dog on Christmas, and within a week, we had him enrolled in the one-on-one boot camp 4-week training program. It is difficult to say who enjoyed the experience more, myself or my dog. Every member of the staff was exceptionally kind and consistently demonstrated a positive demeanor, which is understandable given they are around adorable dogs all day. Rhiannon's work with Marshal was outstanding; she provided us clear and precise instructions. We particularly valued the personalized one-on-one training sessions and the daily video updates on his progress.

3976 IL-22, Long GroveEmily and Aimee are the best! I've been taking my yorkipoo, Canelo, here since we got him back in 2022. I was the nervous first time dog mom who didn't want to leave him (like a crazy person). They were patient with me and assured me he was in good hands! They start off the first time cut with a simple bath and trim to get the pup comfortable with the experience. Every time after that has gotten easier and easier. He's still a nervous boy but I don't think that'll change. I just trust he's in good hands with Emily always! I'd recommend this place to any pet owner.

5301 IL-83, Long GroveEvery time we passed Skycrest, our cousin would point out that is Zoa's vet, they are wonderful. Sad to say, Zoa's owner passed and we inherited Zoa. Since Zoa meant so much to our cousin, we continued to take her there. Years ago, one of Skycrest's employees found Zoa under a car, ready to give birth, she was if anything a year old. They took care of Zoa and found homes for her offsprings. They approached our cousin, who just lost her cat, and told her they have an awesome kitty for her. They have a picture of her with her kittens and all say hi to her when we bring her in. They have been absolutely helpful with us caring for Zoa, who is 13 years young. Dr. Wojcik is always amazing with Zoa, along with the staff. thank you. Sally

It was like a scene out of texas chainsaw 2 as this was no regular pooch place as this was a place meant for the dead. My little brother has been missing for several months and i found his dead carcass hanging from the floorboards in the attic. What a horror is was! The busted pipes did keep everything clean, including my precious pumpkin, a 1 year old poodle. 4 stars

Mary (who I believe is the owner) was outside and immediately greeted me with the warmest smile. She went way above and beyond, sharing all about the magic and history of Long Grove, and even gave us a little tour! I left thinking, “We’re definitely coming back soon.”
Fast-forward a bit, my daughter and I returned on a chilly day for some cozy hot chocolate. Everyone had already ordered, so I let my 4-year-old place her own order. The person behind the counter was so kind, so patient, and made her feel so special.
Between Mary’s heart, the amazing atmosphere, and that sweet mix of coffee and candy shop vibes, this place is an absolute gem. I’m so grateful for this one-of-a-kind spot. Thank you, Long Grove Coffee Co.! ☕?✨

The Village Tavern
135 Old McHenry Rd, Long GroveWe hosted our annual extended family Christmas party with about 60 people (adults and kids) in the basement pool hall at the Village Tavern, and it was perfect. The space worked wonderfully as a private event venue for a large group, and several relatives even drove up early to shop around the area, making it a great day trip.
Everyone enjoyed playing pool and watching games and movies on the big screens, which added even more fun to the day.
We set up a few tables for food and kids’ crafts, and worked with the owners to create a reasonably priced meal package. Appetizers included salad, chips and salsa, and the most crave-able cheese curds I’ve ever had. Dinner was served family-style with German sausages, roasted chicken, German potato salad, and sauerkraut. We also had our own private bar for drinks.
Highly recommend the Village Tavern for your next event—and for supporting a great local business.

Awesome brewery! Came home visiting my family for the holidays and wanted to meet up with some friends. This place was PERFECT!
Lots of beer options and the cherry rasp was going down really easy.
The brewery atmosphere is top notch. Tall tops for smaller groups and the best part is the picnic tables to really meet up. Come here and get an Ein Mas (1 litre) and enjoy.
Oh btw watch out for the entry way. It got me twice!... So funny. They have signs posted about the dip but stand back and let your friend go first and watch them stumble bwahahaha
