Post Offices near Canton, MI

“We have often used the Canton one as we find the Van Buren Township one buzy and things get lost like mail we have held while on vacation. The people have always been courteous. We walked in to renew our passports and the lady took us right away. But that was during the first term of Trump. We'd also had good delivery and service at Belleville prior to Trumps first term. During his first he hired a new Post Office General. That person was given orders to fix post office, cut employees, cut post offices which caused problems in rural communities. From the Rochester office like others who finally had received new and faster sorting machines he removed the new one and left old one and took away one they depended on for parts only for it. And cut people. This man had absolutely no background in fast service delivery like warehouse management, UPS, or any trucking knowledge. Learn on the job and cut cut. He did learn. During that time so many services and people cut our Van Buren PO had change overs, more mail and pkgs to contend with. Tired angry employees result. I am not sure but I think we have three different mail carriers now. One who seems to be angry and mail pushed to back of mail box and practically out of back of mailbox. Large mail bent and torn. Never delivered to door. Even large medication pkgs force in causing some of meds in cardboard boxes within squashed. They have to much mail, longer routes, poor roads , and bad weather. Snow sometimes not cleared from streets. I think this is also happening in Canton and they have some very large housing subdivisions go up in last 12 years that add tremdously to their work. More businesses.”

“Deon was SO helpful when I had a large box going to Germany returned to me because of inaccurate customs information. With his help, I made the correction, he did not charge me again, and the package arrived in about 8 days! I have never experienced the type of customer service this USPS location provides!”

“Which Post Office is this referring to? Google is getting ridiculous with these reviews. We were not at a post office in Michigan, so this most be from a month ago in Ohio. All post offices look the same and this one is even using stock photos.”

“I have to mail a 50 lb suitcase. Came to this small quiet countryside postal office. It is clear and few people there. The staff is very helpful. She made the process easy and fast. This office is strongly recommend.”

“I want t o give high praise to Deon who works at the Post Office in downtown Plymouth, Michigan . He always greets you with kind words and always takes the time to make you feel special. It is a small post office with only two people serving customers at the front counter and often Deon is there alone while the other employee is working in the back. Still Deon is up front to be the friendly employee to all who enter. I am 78 years old and thankful when I go to that often busy post office Deon is there. Kathy White”

“Shoutout to the Garden City post office! I had a package that I desperately needed, and it had been delayed for whatever reason with no updated delivery date. I filled out a form online through USPS, and within the hour, someone from the Garden City post office called me.

She explained the reason for the delay, let me know she would follow up the next day to make sure it was delivered or give any updates, and when I mentioned that I needed it by a certain time before work, she even put me on a quick hold to check on it. A moment later, she came back and said they were going to try to have it delivered within the next hour.

“After going to the Canton post office, where they wouldn’t give me a piece of tape, I went to the Wayne post office because Canton would mail my package without the piece of tape that they wouldn’t provide me and the Wayne office was fantastic. “I love the Belleville Post Office, this one is great, they can pretty much take care of anything you need. I do all my mail stuff here no problem, anytime. They take care of me I'm always in and out, the staff is very friendly and respectful. I'm acknowledged whenever I have to use the USPS here in 48111. The one guy here he's very nice. and all the other staff, Victoria did great job helping me today!”

“Well we didn't get what we were looking for... large vanilla envelopes cost like $1.80 to send straight up. I had 51 of them. I expected to get a printout stamp. Nope they don't do that. At first the gal figured I could buy one configuration of stamps that would be WAY over paying, then she figured out a better fit. An international stamp and a bus stamp whatever amounts those are. They only had 5 bus stamps left. The stamps were horribly disorganized, likely because they get so busy. We had to go to another PO which had a nice file of all of the stamps and all the bus stamps we could ask for. It was a bizarre day to find out that there is a set price for an envelope but you can't buy just that price to send it if you have bulk. I over paid $5, but it woulda been like over $20 so that's a win. I guess?! ?”
