Pet Grooming

Our dog was very very sick. We had 4 vets from a different vet practice tell us there was nothing left to do to save her. During this very difficult time Dr. John returned my call and shared that he wanted to help. Not only did he make our dog comfortable that night (after hours) by calling in medication, he followed up for the days on his own time. He truly saved her life when multiple other vets gave up way too soon. I have never seen a vet office with such compassion and dedication to sick animals. They truly care and go out of their way to help. My dog went from having a scheduled appointment to put her to sleep to feeling the best she has felt in years. She is happy and doing so well. I am forever grateful for west Woodward animal clinic and highly recommend them! They answered every single question and explained all outcomes. They were realistic with her possible prognosis but worked so hard to make our dog better. They also have very fair prices and in no way try to scam or do unnecessary testing to make money.

Very patient, and informative after growing up on a farm and owning all sizes of pets, they were very informative, explained everything so that I could understand it, ( many clinics I've been to, talk over my head, like I'm the Dr, they put it into terms I could understand, never at anytime did I feel like I was rushed through the visit, will be making appointments for all of my pets here, they made me feel like I was more of part of the family, than a distant cousin. Thanks for the heartfelt care, and the knowledge I gained just from taking my dog here.

Canine to Five

We started our corso mix in doggy daycare a little over a month ago and we love it. He loves it so much that he starts whining to get out of the car the minute we get into the parking lot. Everyone is super friendly, professional, and knowledgeable so it makes the transition of dropping off your fur baby easy on the pet parent. I know my Theo is well cared for because the minute he hears “daycare” he starts excitedly sprinting around the house. I also love the options for added extras available like one-on-one play time, enrichment games, filled kongs, and themed photoshoots. We will definitely be with Canine to Five Ferndale for a long time.

Tall Trees Cafe

I finally got the chance to try Tall Trees thanks to their newer extended hours! I was greeted by Tori who was super kind and helpful - they even had great recommendations for me and were able to answer all the questions I had about the menu. As someone who is plant based I loved that there were options for me! I tried the Later Tater which was scrumptious and flavorful with every bite! I also had to try all of the sides including the Red Pepper Cashew Pasta Salad (loved it with the olive tapenade on top - nice touch), Gigante Beans (herby dill deliciousness) and the star of the show was truly the BBQ Potato Salad! I’m hoping in the future there are even more options for sandwiches on the menu for plant based eaters!

Regina's Mexican Food Truck & Catering

What a great event. We asked Regina's Catering to provided her services for daughter engagement party, providing traditional tacos, quesadilla, with sides of rice and bean and DID THEY! Both beef, chicken and bean options. Some guest requested many custom variations, as well as Mexican bowls. They were super accommodating, pleasant, and professional. Everyone raved. I'm a self-proclaimed foodie and I will tell you everything was full of flavor, prepared perfectly, and they really understand Mexican flavor... I ate every possible combination and nothing disappointed. Even the leftovers and I'll tell you they make great breakfast burritos for days, just add eggs and bam!

Just had the catfish special here and this was some of the best I've ever had. The fries were crispy, the hush puppies yummy, and the salad was fresh. Had the peanut butter pie for dessert and that was good too. The place was clean and the service responsive. All-in-all I have nothing bad to say about this place and look forward to coming again.

This was my second time at Toast. If you're in Birmingham this is a solid breakfast/brunch spot with a fun atmosphere. They get pretty crowded on weekends, but we were seated right away for our weekday brunch. The service was always great, and the waiters were very amicable. I really loved our waiters both times we were here. I got a strawberry cheesecake waffle today which was excellent. The cream cheese with the whipped cream, graham cracker dust, and fresh strawberries made for a very decadent breakfast meal that was surprisingly not as heavy as it looked, though I would not say it was light. I didn't use the syrup, but I could see how some people might want it for an extra dose of sugar. The waffles were nice and crisp, and I would definitely order this again if I'm in the mood for a sweet treat. Overall, this is a nice family friendly spot if you're in town!

I first knew Detroit Fleat when it was a restaurant, and I always enjoyed relaxing on their patio with a refreshing drink during Michigan's warm months. When they transitioned to a space focused solely on events, I felt a bit sad. However, once I became pregnant, I knew I wanted to host my baby shower at Detroit Fleat! The venue always has an excellent vibe, and their bar and planning staff are fantastic. It’s a great location and very safe for kids. Without a doubt, if I plan another party, I will definitely call Detroit Fleat again.
