Brooklyn tails pet food
760 Washington Ave, BrooklynBrooklyn Tails is one of my favorite stops as a dog walker. I bring my pack by and Johnny, the owner, is always there with treats and a smile. The dogs love him—it’s honestly one of the highlights of our route.
The store has a great selection for both cats and dogs (I’ve got two cats at home), and Johnny’s always happy to help if I need something specific. Super friendly, super knowledgeable, and just a great neighborhood spot. You can tell he genuinely cares about animals and his customers.
Support small businesses like this—they’re the heart of the community.

3 Cats Pet Store Supplies
624 5th Ave, BrooklynThis store is a bit out of my way, but I'm happy to support the owner as often as I can after many years of lovely encounters at the pet store where he used to work. Bonus points that the aisles are wide enough for my stroller to go down! I've never used their delivery service, but it is helpfully offered as an option every time I buy a huge bag of cat litter (which fits nicely in the bottom of my huge stroller).

My Natural Pet
8318 5th Ave, BrooklynBooking was very easy once you submit a questionnaire about your dog's up to date vaccines. I expressed my hesitation to my natural pet because my dog is very often very timid with strangers and afraid of loud noises (the dryer) . To my surprise she was hyper and looked happy when they were done with her grooming. She even tried to go back down the stairs where they groomed her. It came out to $120-130, which included wash and dry, anal gland expression and cut nails. ( she is 70 lbs). In my opinion this was more than I thought it would be but we also never professional groomed her before, so not sure this is standard. However, I would Definitely take her back bc she looked very shiny, not stressed and they took their time with her because she is a shy dog. Thanks again!

Shiny Paws Grooming & Day Care
331 Whitman Dr, BrooklynI had a great experience with this groomer Danny! The staff was friendly, professional, and clearly cared about my pet’s comfort. They took the time to ask questions about the style I wanted .
The grooming itself was excellent — clean, neat, and exactly what I asked for. My pet came back calm, happy, and looking amazing. I fell in love with my pup all over again .The salon was clean and well-organized, and the entire process was smooth from drop-off to pick-up.
I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend this groomer to anyone looking for quality care and great results.

238 Water St, BrooklynLove them! The facility is amazing, and the staff has been great (they truly seem to care about the pets unlike other places). Sonia's Pet Grooming
471 7th Ave, BrooklynWe have been taking our Havanese to Sonia for years and her grooming is unrivaled. She is great with our little guy, caring, experienced, has a keen understanding of dogs, and is meticulous in her grooming. We never have to give her direction, whatever she does is always just right. We've only occasionally had to go elsewhere due to scheduling conflict but we're always disappointed in the care and cuts we've gotten anywhere else. We highly recommend Sonia as the best groomer in town.

Q Cute Doggie House Inc
6704 11th Ave, BrooklynPricing was $85 plus tip, cash only, pricing is according to weight and difficulty. I just needed my dog to have a trim and a bath so he can have a longer coat for the winter. They had a long waitlist of dogs this day but took care of my dog relatively well despite the pressure. His main trouble areas are around his ears and paws where his hair gets matted and they took care of that pretty well. This place doesn’t brush your dog’s teeth which makes sense, but would be nice.Looking forward to going back!

Kings Bay Veterinary Group
2560 Coney Island Ave, BrooklynI have taken 2 cats' there. When my 1st was sick and eventually had to be put down, Dr. Max and the staff were wonderful. Helping me figure out what was wrong and explaining things to me as far as maybe putting her down. They took my second cat no problem and were just as great with treating her. She has anxiety and a heart murmur and again Dr. Max was wonderful with her. When I was getting ready to move out of the state I asked a lot of questions about how to travel with her, medication, etc... They are a wonderful place and I recommend anyone take their pets there.

Loving Paws Animal Hospital: Pesteanu, Loretta DVM
6750 4th Ave, Brooklynthe location was in 67 bayridge brooklyn I highly not recommend this vet when it comes to safe a life i felt ignore. I went there with my sphinx cat looking for help crying in pain the vet didn't even took a look at her just sent the receptionist to the front to tell me about the prices of their bussiness. instead of helping me to safe my cat she was only 5 years the only thing they said was take her to the humane society in Manhattan we don't take walk in after all that time my cat died in the way the humane vet said it was a blood clot she died in pain that if at least this place woulded stabilize her to calm her with the pain she woulded made it alive what would a pain killer cost I woulded paid if this place really care for cats in need of help why the vet didn't even check her and help me out she probably would've being here today with me. I won't recommend it is more about the money than the care of a pet sorry. they left me with a bad feeling of their way of receiving animal at their place.

Dogboy NYC
362 Furman St, BrooklynRobert is in a class by himself when it comes to training and behavioral issues for dogs. He brings a wealth of knowledge, patience and genuine interest in the dog he is working with. I’ve worked with him twice now for my ball-aggression Frenchie and years later when I added a second dog. He helped me understand and decode what my dogs’ behavior was telling about their mental state and go from there on the behavior. It is truly a holistic approach that works. Highly recommend him and his team.

All visits are updated with pictures and an explanation of all that occured during the visit. They have been so helpful during this tough time of caring for a senior dog. Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Fatboy's Vegan Burgers
537 Nostrand Ave., BrooklynIt's a small takeout spot - standing room only - with a self-serve flat screen and a counter. The vibe is very backyard woodshed with a grill. There were about 4 other Yelpers and a couple of other customers in line when I arrived and was told it was going to be at least a 30 minute wait. There was only 1 person working! (Poor guy!) I tried the Vegan Haiji which is their version of a chopped cheese and added an Impossible patty, lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, and Wu Sauce. It comes on a hamburger roll instead of a hero which I wasn't expecting and honestly didn't think to ask. The burger was messy, but tasty and the Wu Sauce added a nice kick. I got the Fatty Tots - which were just plain tator tots. They were deliciously crispy - even after warming the leftovers up a few hours later. They're pretty salty so I would suggest adding one of their signature sauces like the Fatboy ranch to balance it out. I'll recommend it to my vegan friends who live in the area but I probably won't go again unless I'm visiting.

RAS Plant Based
739 Franklin Ave, BrooklynRAAAAAH this place is a Brooklyn best. Flavorful Ethiopian food with a few twists here and there. The Kitfo plate is our go-to entree pretty much every time. We also consistently get the Lentil Sambusas which come with a fiery hot sauce. If you want something more classic, they have two sandwich options. A Lentil based burger or a Lion’s Mane Chicken sandwich. Both are really good and come with fantastically seasoned fries. If you go for brunch they’ve got a handful of awesome breakfast items like an SEC, Breakfast burritos, and even a vegan vanilla ice cream infused French toast which is a MUST.
