“Everything was clean and tidy. The room decor is a bit dated but everything is well taken care of by the housekeeping staff. Upon arrival I stood behind another guest who was complaining about her room location. The lady working the front desk handled the situation with a very professional demeanor. We only needed to stay for one night but I would definitely stay here again.”

“This property is all about location, right on the canal. Rooms are fine, nothing special. No pool or hot tub. Spa services quite expensive. Restaurant at hotel served an excellent breakfast.

Walkability: Several restaurants nearby as well as great dairy for ice cream. The hotel does have a shuttle that will take you to places nearby as well as the airport.”

“Our recent stay at Best Western Plus Victor Inn and Suites was awesome. After a 10 hour day of driving through torrential rains and winds, the Inn was a beautiful and welcome oasis! As we entered the beautiful lobby and commons area, we were greeted by a friendly and informative desk clerk. Check-in was smooth and fast, and we received great tips on where to eat and how to visit Lake Ontario. We took the short drive and had a great dinner and put our feet in our second great lake! Our room was equally beautiful and we enjoyed a quiet nights sleep. Our breakfast was amazing, and we really didn't want to leave, but we had many more miles ahead of us. We highly recommend a stay here, and we will definitely return some day!”

“Stayed here for last night of 2024 Rochester International Jazz Frstival. Very good location, close to everything. Neighbourhood is slowly rejuvenating.

Hotel is clean, nice.”

“Nothing bad to say. A typical hotel room. Was clean. Was quiet. Didn't hear noise from other rooms or hallway. Amenities included a hair dryer, ironing board, little coffe maker. Great shampoo, conditioner & body wash...lol....got compliments on my hair after using.”

“Nice hotel. Clean rooms. Beds were comfortable. Staff was helpful. Two issues were - no microwave in rooms and only one uncomfortable desk chair for a two person room. There were no upholstered chairs.”

“Lovely service and experience at the Woodcliff. May have had some bumpy times during Covid but they have come roaring back. The restaurant is amazing - be sure to try one of the pastry chef's specialties and the sea bass was to die for! They are renovating the lodging and have already renovated the spa. A beautiful sunset dinner and view is worth every penny.”

“This is the finest hotel at which I stayed as I biked the entire Erie Canalway -- and the best value. Rooms are ideal, breakfast is restaurant quality, and the staff is helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The quiet setting on the scenic Genesee River -- complete with patio -- is a bonus.”

“I can only tell you that I loved this hotel. It is a hotel with few rooms and there are only 4 floors, but very cozy. I think of the few places I can say that everything was good. The attention, cleanliness, service and breakfast were very varied even though my check out was on Monday. As an informative note, I did not know that breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays was 7:00am/10:00am and that on weekdays it was 7/9:30am. And the reason was because the day before I had not gone down to breakfast and when we went down almost at 9:30 that's when I found out that information. But anyway we had a few minutes and it gave us time to enjoy breakfast. The employees are super attentive, especially a young woman named Rosa who, even though she was not the cleaning lady, asked for towels and toilet paper and I gladly took them to the room. So if you are ever in the State of Rochester, don't think twice and go to Holiday Inn Express.?Rooms: Very comfortable and spacious.”

“Pleased to find this a great hotel walking distance from the airport. Prices were very reasonable for what you get. Room was clean and updated. The breakfast was not extensive but had all your standard warm and cold offerings for a complementary breakfast. Morning staff at breakfast was very attentive to keeping the cafeteria clean and stocked. Cafeteria area was rather small so you might need to get your seats early. Was not busy when we were there though. Small workout room but did the trick. They offer a 24-hour airport shuttle but we didn't use it since weather was fine to walk 8 minutes from the airport. Perfect for that connection and now we're going to walk back to the airport to get our car.”

“Love the EV level 2 car charging. Two Tesla chargers and one generic J1772 chargers, but cords probably only cover two spaces. The chargers are all the way around the left side of the building and good chance of not being blocked be ICE cars. Hotel is 75% renovated and our room was very nice and clean. Friendly staff and even delicious scrambled eggs (not boxed) for breakfast.”

“As expected from a Courtyard property, nice, clean and well maintained. Room was big and the bed was pretty firm as I like it - the reason I book King room.

So, why did I give it a 5 star? Exceptional service! I was running late in the morning and bistro was just about closing. Called the front desk (Chris) and he with Holly from the bistro whipped up a nice breakfast for me.

Truly appreciated as it started the day off right.”

Fridge runs only two hours before shutting off so you need to turn it on again.Safety: Very safe and secure. Security staff on site.Food & drinks: Excellent food. Not skimpy.Noteworthy details: Staff very accommodating.”

“Great, comfortable stay with awesome customer service. This is a good standard for a Hilton brand hotel. The food and drink at the hotel bar was top notch and the service excellent. The parking garage is secure but costs $10 per night. I recommend this hotel.Safety: Everything is safe, including the parking garage. Be aware of homeless bums and drug addicts on the streets outside the hotel at night.Food & drinks: Great downstairs bar with good food.”

“The hotel is well located in the center of downtown. While the city has a limited amount of things worth walking to, the things that are were close to the hotel and made it easy to get to. The hotel itself was clearly renovated recently and the renovation did a good job with the rooms clean and in good condition. Only real critique is that there were no towel racks which seems like a weird design omission during a remodel. The hotel restaurant had good food and the employees were extremely nice. It's honestly a recommendation if you're looking for somewhere to eat going there is not a bad choice at all. Overall if I were to stay in Rochester again I would book this hotel again.Rooms: Rooms were recently remodeled and are in good and clean conditionWalkability: This hotel is centrally located in downtown making it walkable to different restaurants and suchFood & drinks: The food and drink of the hotel restaurant was very good no complaints at all and definitely would recommend”

“I had to cancel my reservation due to a quite unfortunate and unexpected situation. The Hotel frontdesk (Nov 19 2023, 5PM) was very caring, helpful, and understanding, and did everything they could to help me out. I really appreciate their support, and I will surely choose Clarion Pointe next time I go to Rochester.”

“Look, it's not the Hilton, it's older and could probably use a some polish. The restaurant on site is a line dancing bar, so there's some ambient music until close (currently midnight). But the (non-smoking) room was clean and comfortable, with all the amenities you'd expect. The staff was friendly and responsive. I have had much worse experiences for much more money. If you are looking for a place to just stay the night, it's totally fine. Don't let the bad reviews sway you, I can get where they're coming from if you want something sleek and modern, but this hotel is totally functional.”
