101 E Dowitcher St, Nags HeadWe were on vacation and our GSP, Bella, developed an eye infection. We called Sound Veterinary office on a Saturday morning and they squeezed us in immediately. Dr. Hayes and her staff are dedicated to care and excellent treatment. It showed in everything they did to help Bella recover quickly so we could enjoy our vacation. If we lived closer, they would be our new vet.

3408 S Virginia Dare Trail, Nags HeadThis place is super cute and well decorated. It’s adorable! We loved the self serve bar with frozen yogurt, gelato, and sorbet. They have unique flavors and tons of toppings. It’s really well priced. I got a full cup for $5. They also have ice cream cookie sandwiches. I highly recommend this place!!

3022 S Croatan Hwy, Nags HeadIt's hard to find perfectly portioned food in a setting that's not snobbish. This place managed to pull it off. From coffee to beer to sandwiches, it's all right in the Goldie Locks zone for me. Not to mention freaking good! The decor is eclectic and you do feel a little pressured into the CBD/THC scene, but it doesn't matter. Good food being served by good people in a good location. What else do you need?

Miller's Waterfront Restaurant
6916 S Croatan Hwy, Nags HeadAfter driving down to Salvo, we decided to have a late lunch/early supper. Not many places open this time of year on the Outer Banks. Miller's Waterfront, open 11-9, was open. Walked straight in, and straight to a table. The restaurant has a waterfront feel without being too beachy. Server took our drink order and gave us ample time to check out the menu. We ordered fried shrimp and Po' boy sandwich. Our hush puppy basket (you have to order separately, $6 for a dozen) does not come with the meal) were hot and light tasting with a slight sweet taste. Fried shrimp was hot and lightly battered. Tasted very good but you have to dig for that last bite tucked in the end of the shell. Would not pull out on its own. . Po'boy with oysters was great. I requested small oysters and the cook did their best to grant the request. With lettuce, tomato dices, banana peppers, I topped with cocktail sauce and a little tartar sauce. French fries were cooked perfectly, hot and crispy. We enjoyed our meal and will recommend it to others.

3016 S Virginia Dare Trail, Nags HeadSuch a cute beach restaurant. My friends all ordered the crab cake and raved that if was the best they'd had. I should've gotten it too. I had the Greek salad with shrimp and it was not at all the same culinary experience as my friends. The dressing was very bland, not Greek tasting at all...more like mainly just olive oil. Shrimp was overcooked and chewy with no real flavor. 2/10...despite my friends' meals being 10/10. Service was average with smiles.

4036 S Virginia Dare Trail, Nags HeadThis is some of the best pizza I've had ANYWHERE. It's DELICIOUS. The ingredients are fresh. They followed the takeout order instructions to the T. The crust is perfection, there's a DELIGHTFUL pillowy doughiness, a light crisp. I can't even tell you how wonderful this pizza is. I'll dream of it. I recommend extra mozzarella cheese -- the Milky Way + tomatoes + extra mozarella is everything you could ever want in a white pizza. Get this pizza immediately!

Very attentive and perfect timing. We were a party of 8 and they didn't blink on anything. The food was a solid 10, everything including the sides were hot.

Service was top notch and the atmosphere was very laid back and relaxing! I went as a suggestion from a friend at work, and did not disappoint, will revisit anytime I come back to the area (I'm sure we will)!
