It was just him and another gentleman in there and they both were very informative and incredibly helpful. You can just feel the love for animals they have when you’re in there. I will no longer be buying my dog treats and food on Amazon, I’ll be going here!

He stated no worries we will take good care of her. I asked if I needed an appointment and he stated nope. We arrived and was greeted by a very nice man and remembered that he spoke to me earlier. My girl warmed right up to and allowed him to pick her up and put her on the table. He did what he needed to do to make her safe. The whole time he was talking to making her feel calm. He told me my part and the entire time he was so positive and relaxed with her. He was great my girl did great!! We will definitely return to get all of our grooming!!

Every time I call to schedule an appointment for my Maltipoo, King Fluff, she and I always have a conversation as if we were long time, friends.
Her business partner is also always very nice as well. If you don’t know about Grooming VR, then this place will be a hidden gem to you. Taking my dog to this groomer gives the nostalgia having a small town business owner…. They remember your name, your pet and how they behave when being groomed

I have had experiences with other places that just treat you like a number and they do not seem to care about the welfare of your animals just as long as they can collect as much money as they can and still cannot tell you what is wrong.

It’s incredibly impressive how much progress was made in such a short time. When Frankie was brought home, we could immediately see a transformation even before they came through the gate! She was super excited to see us, but remained focused, calm and confident.
Paige didn’t just train Frankie, she patiently made sure we understood how to maintain & build progress at home. Training is ever evolving & we are committed to Frankie’s success. The follow-up training sessions were very informative and key in how we move forward, and we really appreciated the encouragement Paige gave us too! Frankie was always excited to see Paige & that gave us comfort in knowing the trust built between the two of them.
With a 70lb, 18mo pup who rarely had 4 feet on the floor, it was stressful when anyone would come into our home. Frankie would jump all over people and knock us down in the process! Now we can put her in “place” and welcome them in normally. It only takes a few minutes and then we release her to greet guests. Going to parks, pet stores, restaurants with patios and taking walks is something we look forward to. We have two other large dogs in our home & things are much calmer with a lot less barking!
I am so glad we didn’t continue just accepting we had a “crazy” dog we couldn’t control. It’s fun to work with her verses dreading being pulled the entire time on a walk to try to exert her high energy. She deserved the chance to be a great dog! She is happier, wants to do well & we couldn’t be more pleased. Thank you!!

2507 Ashbury Rd, ColumbusI am so EXCITED I found Ohio State K-9 College!! I have been training my Belgian Malinois, Nova, on my own, but I feel like I'm doing a disservice to her, and she deserves real, professional trainingn by a Master Trainer.
I have spent countless hours researching over several months, and it has left me more overwhelmed and confused than ever. Looking at all the different amateur training school options, not one of them provides all of the courses that Ohio State K-9 College provides, including the effective 1 on 1 training with the only Master Trainer in central Ohio.
When I found the website, I immediately closed all of my other tabs, because I finally found what I have been looking for. Just by reading the valuable information the website provides, I learned more in 30 minutes, than I did in hours and hours of research I have done in the past.
My dog is my absolute pride & joy, and my entire world. I will put anything & everything into her training - I just want to do it the best way possible, with a real Master Trainer (this makes a HUGE difference!!). She is an extremely fast learner, and deserves the absolute best!
I am ecstatic to have found Ohio State K-9 College!! I can't wait to work with Joe, his furbabies Sky (Sky is the limit!) & Star, and be a great part of their team! He spent a considerable amount of time explaining everything to me on the phone, and got me on his schedule within days! He also provides several of his classes for free!!! (socialization, housebreaking, obedience). I NEVER say that I am excited for Monday, but I am because thats when we get to start!!
READ the website, do you research and go to a real Master Trainer to give your furbaby the absolute best training experience possible!! There is only one Master Trainer in the region, and that is Joe!

They love the dogs! The play groups are always supervised, and the attendants even play with the doggies! Very professional, caring, easy to work with, and fantastic facilities. There's so much room for the dogs to play - and rest if they want. She loved celebrating her birthday with her friends.
Update 6/2026: This business changed management about 10-11 months ago. I no longer take my dog here.

However, we believed that that would be far less stressful on the dogs to learn things at a more natural pace, as opposed to a forced pace. They came back with good behavior. Obviously things that we need to continue to work on with them, but the nice thing is that they come back is actual dogs that are better behaved rather than rigid military assets, haha.

4340 Tamarack Blvd, ColumbusLoved this place, was my first time adopting and they were very easy to talk to, they let me walk the dog and I was able to adopt within an hour, no complications, he had a respiratory infection which is no worries they provided medication for it and he was better than ever within a few days.
