“*Edit I changed my 3 star to 5 as the service here since Christmas/January has changed for the better. I see consistent, friendly staff, always great to talk to at cash and 3 of them finally convinced me to download their app ( always reminded to then kept forgetting til one of them had me do it in front of them for my own sake! (Awesome!)) I should have long ago but was never offered or encouraged to in the past. I no longer feel like I'm intrusive. It's not like I ever request assistance, I keep to myself but I appreciate the approach. Love Ardene's but most of the time the cashiers stay behind the desk and yell out their 'private' stories so everyone can hear and laugh out loud so loud, just uncomfortable. The girl who seems to be the manager, oh my God she is rude, loud and very unfriendly. Soorrry for shopping in your store, what are you even doing there anyway? One of the cashiers was nice though, at least the basic acknowledgment and a smile.”

“Great selection of boots , shoes for men and women.I went shopping with my elderly mother looking for slippers for her . She was pleased and excited to find to right pair that fit her well. Her concern to the helpful staff is that she wanted an extended week return policy in case the customer fitted orthotics she ordered would not fit her slippers . The staff member Toni extended the return date by a week making my mom a happy and satisfied customer. Thank you Walking On A Cloud and thank you Toni .”

Colours harmonize from year to year; they have comfortable and elegant clothing made from natural (often organic) or recycled fibers. Staff leave me alone to browse but are there when I need them. Investment clothing that lasts, but they have a good sale rack. Regular, petite and plus sizing; be sure to try in their clean change rooms because sizes can run large.”

Even though they were under renovation, she took the time and went out of her way to find the right shoe for me, and even directed me to other stores close by and gave me all their information. “I have known this Shoe Store to be at 'Cloverdale Mall', for many years! I needed a new pair of winter boots; and decided to visit this well-appointed shoe store! I was not sure, when the store would close for the day ( October 31st). As I entered the store, I was warmly greeted by Anne has worked at this location, for 7 years! She is friendly, very knowledgeable about shoes she sells and she is very 'helpful' during the 'fitting': helping me with the new boots AND helping me put my old boots back on!! I also met Liz, who has worked at Star Shoes for over 30 years! The price was 'right' and my new boots are staying inside my flat, until I am comfortable with them. (Don't want to use my leather spray, yet!) All in all, I am very delighted with my purchase. I have Anne and Liz to thank for that!!”

“Gigi was an amazing help! Her customer service skills are great! Before she came to help me there was another girl that told me they have my size in the suede boots i was looking for. The girl went to the back room to check for my size and came back saying its so messy I cant find the boots. She told me to just buy them online. Clearly shows how lazy she was to even check properly. If you simply don’t like your job you shouldn’t be there working!!
