Troob Marc DVM
4263 Tower Hill Rd, South KingstownGotta love these folks ! We’ve been clients of Dr.Troob for 20 years, we have had 6 Boxers to date and 5 litters since we began Stoneacre Boxers. They have been fantastic at every turn! Coco is just about ready to have a litter and wasn’t feeling well, they got us right in, followed up with a phone call the next day, had a med change and followed up again first thing in the morning. The Docs and staff are amazing !!

Green Deborah DVM
481 Main St, WakefieldWe have taken our dog to South County Vet. practice since we adopted her over 10 years ago. Sadie has always received good care there by the staff and Doctors. She is a small dog, shy and nervous at times but is always handled with a patient and gentle manner by the staff. She recently needed a surgery and Dr. Otis was wonderful before, during and post surgery, offering professional and compassionate care throughout the experience. We highly recommend the South County Veterinary practice in Wakefield.

Washington County Vet Hospital
4263 Tower Hill Rd, South KingstownDr. Howard Troob was highly recommended to me. What a wonderful kind hearted doctor!! Not only is he a sweetheart of a doctor, Dr. Troob is honest and not out to rob you. I was given an estimate of $2700 to $4700 for my dog Calvin's surgery. The veterinarian is located in the Mystic/Noank area. Dr. Troob quoted me 80% less for the same procedure/surgery. Calvin and I are glad we found you!!!?❤️❤️

JAYD BUN
1202 Kingstown Rd, South KingstownJayd Bun is undeniably good, but for me, it did not quite live up to the level of hype surrounding it.
Let me start with the positives. The food quality is solid. The ingredients taste fresh, the flavors are well thought out, and it is clear that care goes into the preparation. I ordered roughly $100 worth of food, intentionally choosing the top recommended entrées to get the full experience. Everything was good, but not exceptional. Nothing I tried crossed into the “wow” territory that would make me immediately crave a return visit.
Price is another important factor. Jayd Bun is on the expensive side, especially considering the portion sizes and the overall setup. At this price point, expectations naturally rise, and while the food delivered in terms of quality, it did not deliver in terms of excitement or memorability.
Logistics are also worth mentioning for first time visitors. There is no seating available on site, and ordering requires emailing ahead, which feels a bit inconvenient compared to many other high end food spots. You can take the food to a nearby brewery to eat, which helps, but it is still something to plan around and may not suit everyone, especially if you are expecting a traditional dine in experience.
I drove a full hour on a Friday evening to get there and another full hour back, specifically because I had heard so many people call this the second best place around. Given the travel time, the cost, and the anticipation, I unfortunately walked away underwhelmed from the food experience. The food was good, just not at a level that justified the hype for me personally.
That said, taste is subjective. I can absolutely see why others enjoy Jayd Bun and rate it highly. It is well executed food, just missing that extra factor that makes a place unforgettable. Overall, I am giving it four out of five stars. A good experience, but not one that lived up to the expectations set by the buzz surrounding it.
Staff was really nice and gave us free drinks although!

Sons of Liberty Spirits Co.
1425 Kingstown Rd, South KingstownWe went for a drink this weekend and it was our first time there in quite a while. My wife is not a big fan of spirits, but she was quite happy with her drinks. I absolutely love their whiskey. The Battle Cry bottled in bond was my favorite. The lounge and bar area were quite nice and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and kind. We never felt rushed, or ignored. The bar tender took their time to help my wife pick a mixed drink she would enjoy. The whiskey flight I had was fantastic. Prices aren't bad at all. You can bring your own food and they have a some smaller plates available. There are a ton of great food options close by. They are also dog friendly. They also have all types of events each month. I'm definitely interested in the table top game nights. They also do trivia nights, live music and food trucks. We are definitely looking forward to coming back soon!

Whalers Brewing Company
1174 Kingstown Rd, South KingstownWhalers Brewing Company is located in South Kingstown, RI. The parking lot is accessible after crossing a small bridge and there is ample parking spots. For donating blood between July 28 through August 31 at a Rhode Island Blood Center (RIBC), I received a beverage voucher for participating venues and one of them was Whalers Brewing Company. There were plenty of seating options for small groups and large groups. I chose Drift, a refreshing hard seltzer. The seltzer really tasted like sweet blueberries and lemon. It was light and refreshing. The staff member who served us was very friendly. We had picked up food from Jayd Bun before and consumed it at Whalers Brewing Company. It's great that you can bring food from neighboring restaurants. A good amount of people were there on a Saturday afternoon, both families, groups, and couples. I really enjoyed the chill vibes of the brewery.

Rachel's Cafe
36 S County Commons Way, South KingstownRachel's is a classic breakfast place! Warm, homey, and full of excellent food in large servings, it is my absolute go-to for breakfast/ brunch in southern RI. In the past, I've enjoyed the fluffy pancakes, the lovingly crafted omelets, and one of the best bowls of chili I've ever eaten. Today, I had a clever Chourico Melt, and egg sandwich with cheese and a healthy portion of their marvelous chourico hash. Thoroughly satisfying, like everything on their menu.
I adore this restaurant!

ChopHouse Grille RI
191 Old Tower Hill Rd, WakefieldThis was my second time here and I had another great experience! Yeh service is always great and the food and cocktails are enjoyable. My best friend loves the spot because they have a lot of GF options. Tonight we got cocktails, soup and opted to split a sandwich. We asked if the tots were GF, and Max, our amazing waiter said that they weren't. He not only split our anarchies in half on separate plates but gave me the tots and my best friend fries. It was a small gesture, but it meant so much! This spot is beautiful and worth checking out! :)
