We’d gotten a little off track in his grooming cycle and our pup was in desperate need of something more than a trim. Diego took great care of him, and he turned out with a short coat (but not fully shaved), no mats, and an adorable face/ears! So he still looks like a Maltipoo - just with a stylish summer “do”!! We will be bringing him back to see Diego on schedule next time - but love having a non-judgmental groomer who always takes great care of our fur baby!!

Otherwise, the selection of dog food, toys, and treats is, overall, extensive. I have not used their groomers, so I do not have an opinion on the quality of the cuts or the prices, but I love that the grooming area is open for viewing. I purchased a couple of rawhide bones for my dogs. The cashier was very friendly and helpful. The store was lean and organized.

Petland Frisco
2930 Preston Rd Unit 810, FriscoI know Petland gets a lot of criticism, and we definitely were nervous. We went in just to see how our son would do with a dog, and this was a great way to interact with some.
However my son and husband fell in love with this Toy Australian Shepherd. The price was definitely a shock and a bit high, but we did receive a lot of stuff and benefits.
I was worried about getting a sick dog, but we did our free vet appointment, which he did have Giardia, but they paid for the treatment and I booked an appointment with our own vet who agreed that he was very healthy and well taken care of and was impressed with all the medical records I had.
I had a lot of information prior to the purchase of him and was very well informed on what is expected from this breed and how to take care of him. They made sure he would be a good fit for our family.
We never felt rushed or pressured into this decision.
He has been a great dog so far(almost 3 weeks)!

6451 Preston Rd, FriscoHelp in a moments notice. My baby girl had a bad ear infection and the folks at AMSH were there to help. Tiffie is a rescue and does not trust people at all. She was in real pain and they came to her rescue. An ear flush and a shot of medicine and she was fine by the time we got home. My wife said omg she is smiling again. She was...All you have to do is take your pet to them, they do the rest. Thank you AM&SH. Update 6/27/25 Tiffie had a limp after roughhousing in back with Chaucer. On the 3rd day still limping. She is our 5th Pyrenees and previous 2 dogs Big and Lani had bone cancer so I'm definitely worried. Dr. Curtis gave her a good exam and decided to give meds and another week before x-rays. 4 days later now and the limp is 99% gone. Dr. Curtis decision to med first and give time was spot on the right call. Bottom line is they treat your pets professionally and with pets best interests in mind. They do not un necessarily sell you . Waiting on x-rays saved us $$ and I'm greatful AM&SH has the best doctors and staff available. And they are always available. LP Smith Tiffie and Chaucer

My dog likes her vet visits, both in that she gets excited to see Dr. Conway and also likes to find an excuse to go visit. Dr. Conway is very accommodating when our dog has a sudden need to see her, and is also great about speaking to me on the phone or via email to determine if a full visit is needed.
I cannot recommend this clinic enough. Dr. Conway and her team’s care for my pet is well worth the drive.

They need more people like her that are passionate to teach and know what they’re doing. Ever since I had training sessions with her my dog and I have been behaving tremendously well and are improving fast. When I started that wasn’t the case.
I grateful for having Ali with us. She is a sleeping gem.They need people like her that want to be there and not just show up to the session and do the minimum and leave. The only con is that they never follow up or find you to keep rescheduling. If you never contact them they will never contact you. That’s the only issue I see but other than that good people. Better with “Kelly” the scheduler as she leaves reminders and figures out how to go around your schedule and make your needs met for the dog to be trained.

8814, 1170 Kruger Ln, FriscoWe have two Alaskan Malamutes that are littermates and one started to have social anxiety and became fear aggressive without his brother. We were referred to Lakeside Paws by our vet and it has made a HUGE difference in his life! Both of our dogs have been going to Lakeside Paws since 2021 for daycare on separate days and absolutely love it! The dog that was fear aggressive has completely changed over the past years and now allows other dogs to greet him. We are extremely grateful to Lakeside Paws! They cannot wait to go there weekly and can't wait to break out of the car as we are pulling into the parking lot. We've also used them for grooming. Our previous groomers told us we weren't allowed back without sedating our bigger dog, but Lakeside Paws were able to give him a bath and brush without any issues! We also use them for boarding and love the frequent videos that they provide. We know our dogs are safe and loved at Lakeside Paws!

Tender Smokehouse Frisco
4226 Preston Rd, FriscoWe came here yesterday for breakfast because one of my friends told me about the great value and how good it was. I was apprehensive about going back because we have eaten here for lunch and dinner before and it’s been hit or miss. The very first time I came here the brisket was moist and almost as good as Hutchins in McKinney. I kept telling my wife and son how great the food was, but when we came, the brisket was on par with Spring Creek BBQ. Very dry.
I will say the service has always been great and the atmosphere is really nice. And I do love that during lunch and dinner they give you kettle chips to snack on while you wait for your food.
So back to breakfast…
I probably will not go back to Starwood Café after eating breakfast at Tenders. You spend about the same money if not less and get way more food (that tastes as good if not better). And to be able to have brisket for breakfast, that’s a win in my book any day of the week.
Thankfully, the brisket we had was incredibly moist and very flavorful. The eggs were perfectly cooked to the way we asked for them to be. The hashbrowns had a great texture and great flavor. My son and I did not care for the potatoes, but my wife liked them and they are good if that’s your thing. Tender’s sausage has always been great so that was enjoyable as usual. The pancake was flat out amazing. It’s a very large and thick pancake, but had crispy edges, soft interior, and the syrup and butter were very flavorful.
I think the one letdown for me was the biscuits and gravy. The gravy had great texture and flavor (although you could get a little bit more for how many biscuits you’re getting) but the problem was the biscuits were overcooked. A great biscuit has just a little bit of crunch on the outside and is tender and soft all the way throughout… but the biscuits that came with our biscuits and gravy were mostly crunchy and a little bit soft in the middle. I’m not sure if that’s the way that they cook them here or if those just happen to be overcooked. Either way we still are most of them, just didn’t eat the hardest parts of the biscuits.
We will definitely be back for breakfast again soon.

They carry farm fresh eggs by the dozen, healthy snacks, drinks, herbal supplements, and even dog supplements/treats which I think is such a thoughtful touch.
The smoothie punch card is such a great perk to reward loyal customers. One free after 12!
Bonus: there’s a massage therapist in the back, so you can turn a smoothie run into a full self-care day. I come here all the time and highly recommend it!
