She is incredibly kind, friendly, and accommodating, and she has an amazing ability to adjust her training to each dog’s unique learning style. She doesn’t just train dogs—she builds genuine connections with both the dogs and their owners.
Our dog would literally jump out of the car and RUN to the training room when we asked if she wanted to go see Lisa. That alone says everything. We have five dogs of different breeds who have gone through her training, and one of them even became a certified therapy dog thanks to Lisa’s guidance.
Our diva Pug, Olive, could usually only make it about 30 minutes into an hour-long class before laying down and refusing to work. Lisa never gave up on her. She went above and beyond, even bringing special treats of her own to find the perfect incentive for Olive. That level of care and dedication is rare.
When we tragically lost one of our dogs, Lisa cried with me in the store. She truly loves and cares for her clients and their furry kids, and it shows in everything she does. When I struggled to find daycare for my children, Lisa welcomed them with open arms and even included them in our training sessions. She was always willing to accommodate our busy sports schedule, and when our Boxer broke her toe and had limited mobility, Lisa allowed us to pause training until she was medically cleared.
I cannot begin to recommend Lisa enough. I will continue to sing her praises every chance I get. She is truly one of a kind.

Petland Frisco
2930 Preston Rd Unit 810, FriscoI know Petland gets a lot of criticism, and we definitely were nervous. We went in just to see how our son would do with a dog, and this was a great way to interact with some.
However my son and husband fell in love with this Toy Australian Shepherd. The price was definitely a shock and a bit high, but we did receive a lot of stuff and benefits.
I was worried about getting a sick dog, but we did our free vet appointment, which he did have Giardia, but they paid for the treatment and I booked an appointment with our own vet who agreed that he was very healthy and well taken care of and was impressed with all the medical records I had.
I had a lot of information prior to the purchase of him and was very well informed on what is expected from this breed and how to take care of him. They made sure he would be a good fit for our family.
We never felt rushed or pressured into this decision.
He has been a great dog so far(almost 3 weeks)!

One of the males had severe swim bladder, unable to swim upright and gasping for air. I didn’t think we could make it, but I had high hopes. 48 hours of antibiotics and salt baths later, he is now swimming upright and around! I also adopted three beautiful girls, which as doing equally as well with treatment. They love their betta girl friends! Thank you for allowing surrender adoptions here :)

After Mamba suffered a traumatic dog attack at daycare, he underwent emergency surgery for a severe laceration in his genital region. Unfortunately, the original sutures did not hold, and the wound became open and infected.
Dr. Kahan’s office immediately took Mamba in, and from that moment on, the level of care we received completely blew me away. Every single staff member was patient, compassionate, and thorough in explaining every detail of his treatment and recovery. During a time filled with anxiety and uncertainty, they made us feel supported and reassured every step of the way. Thanks to their care, Mamba is finally on the road to recovery.
One thing that means so much to us is how understanding they’ve been about Mamba’s fear and anxiety at the vet. He becomes extremely nervous and can even act aggressively, which is completely out of character for him. Not once has the staff treated him differently because of it. They’ve handled him with patience, kindness, and compassion every single visit.
Dr. Kahan even gave us his personal cell phone number to check in on Mamba, which I truly feel is above and beyond the level of care most people would expect. We are so grateful to have found such a caring, dedicated veterinarian and staff. Thank you for taking such amazing care of our boy.

255 Lebanon Rd Ste 320, FriscoMy first time there was today. My older dog needed his nails trimmed, he’s not a fan but also older, so I did not want him sedated unless absolutely necessary. My regular Vet of 35 years quoted an outrageous amount without asking any questions m, 3 other local vet offices did the same, without even seeing him. today I called True Vet, I explained what I was needing and they said bring him in, no crazy quoted amount, the doctor wanted to see him first. They recommended I give him calming pills If I had them, I gave him his dose and took him in 2 hours later. She meet with us I said that she would like to try putting his nails with just the calming pills. And I said that would be perfect but if you absolutely have to, we could consider sedation. I left and they did their magic, I went to pick him up and they said he was perfect. He actually fell asleep on the table. They did not have to sedate him the calming pills all that he had to take. I highly recommend true vet in Frisco. I will be taking all our pets there. Sherrie

6451 Preston Rd, FriscoHelp in a moments notice. My baby girl had a bad ear infection and the folks at AMSH were there to help. Tiffie is a rescue and does not trust people at all. She was in real pain and they came to her rescue. An ear flush and a shot of medicine and she was fine by the time we got home. My wife said omg she is smiling again. She was...All you have to do is take your pet to them, they do the rest. Thank you AM&SH. Update 6/27/25 Tiffie had a limp after roughhousing in back with Chaucer. On the 3rd day still limping. She is our 5th Pyrenees and previous 2 dogs Big and Lani had bone cancer so I'm definitely worried. Dr. Curtis gave her a good exam and decided to give meds and another week before x-rays. 4 days later now and the limp is 99% gone. Dr. Curtis decision to med first and give time was spot on the right call. Bottom line is they treat your pets professionally and with pets best interests in mind. They do not un necessarily sell you . Waiting on x-rays saved us $$ and I'm greatful AM&SH has the best doctors and staff available. And they are always available. LP Smith Tiffie and Chaucer

My dog likes her vet visits, both in that she gets excited to see Dr. Conway and also likes to find an excuse to go visit. Dr. Conway is very accommodating when our dog has a sudden need to see her, and is also great about speaking to me on the phone or via email to determine if a full visit is needed.
I cannot recommend this clinic enough. Dr. Conway and her team’s care for my pet is well worth the drive.
