“I was a little disappointed. And I don't usually complain but I ordered a pair of shoes and although they were on clearance when I got there the box that they gave them to me in was tattered. It was missing the majority of the lid. The box was crushed in. It was a Christmas gift and this is a shoe store. I feel as though they could have at least found a lid and put it on the box. Other than that the store is nice.”
“My son wanted these Jordan's that they did not have in the store, Erika offered to check and see where we could get them, we ultimately had to have them ordered and shipped. She was a big help as he really wanted them for Homecoming. When the shoes arrived they were a little dirty and had some marks, could have possibly been a demo shoe, we returned them to the store to see if they would be able to get a pair shipped overnight, I ended up calling the 1-800 number and the guy on the other end just wanted to refund our money stating we had to return them for inspection before they could ship any out, Erika got on the phone with the rep and took care of it all, she did a great job, the shoes got shipped out and arrived the next day just in time and my son is super happy. We definitely will be back to make future purchases. I have always been pleased at this store with the purchases we have made.”

“Took my daughters in today to get shoes for their recital. My 9yo is particular about her shoes and it’s often hard to find ones that fit. To add the the challenge they needed to be black so our selection was limited. Journeys still had many options though. The ones she wanted were slip ons and they rubbed the back of her ankle. I couldn’t let her get them to dance in. The employee I believe his name was Jordan noticed our frustration and disappeared into the back. He came out with a perfect shoe! Saved the day. Then he went above and beyond to showing her a cool shoe trick. That moment completely changed her attitude, she walked out so happy. I wish we could experience his level of costumer service everywhere we went.”

“I love it here! I visit this location at least once a month to check out what's new. I am not a sneaker head, but my baby girl is, for sure! Her birthday coming up, so that meant, new kicks, please! We visited this location during the week before 8pm and it's usually super quiet. In which on this night other than my daughter and myself there were only four other patrons in the store. I love it when the store is empty. No pressure in browsing or people in your way... just a beautiful feeling. My daughter found three pair of shoes she liked and they all were available in her size. But when it came to the fourth shoe, her size was not available. The sales associate offered to check other locations to see if her size was available without hesitation... loved it! We spent about 20 minutes in the store and my daughter was pleased with her new shoes. The sales associate was super helpful and attentive. She also was hands on when it came to checking to see if the shoe fit my daughter or if another size was needed. No complaints... Another associated checked us out and asked if everything was ok. A great visit during the week. I'd suggest you visit during the week as well. The weekend can be super hectic throughout anytime of the day. The store is located in the almost empty Chesapeake Square Mall, but they seem to be holding down the fort at the end near Target. So yeah, park near Target instead of the front of the mall. This will be a short walk for you if you park here. Shoes can be a bit expensive, but you get what you pay for and they have a pretty good return policy. They do offer sales from time to time as well. This is actually my preferred location... quiet and low key definitely. Have fun and enjoy life :)”
“Love this store!! My son was in the market for some new kicks and he requested to go the mall to one of those “athletic stores”. So we shopped at least four other shoe stores within the mall before he found the ones he had to have at Champs. Malachi was our super nice and professional store associate who helped with our shopping experience from beginning to end. “We went seeking a suit for our 15 year old. They had a selection to choose from in his size (34-36). We were greeted by a salesman who helped up for over 30 minutes in selection a suit, tie, belt, shirt, and tie tack. He then proceeded to help us find a dressy outfit for our other son. The prices were great and additional discounts were given. We will be back for sure.”
