Just don't make the mistake of dropping off a bag of old shoes and expect them to be shined in an hour. That's not how it works. Take a break. Sit down. Have a conversation. Old-school. The entire men's shoes department is outstanding, BTW. Great selection, great service. Check out the dress shoes by Magnani. Worth every penny.”

“My wife and I first discovered this store last year while exploring the Galleria at Tysons, and what a gem it is. The clothing—boho-chic and vintage-inspired—manages to be both playfully unique and elegantly refined, without ever feeling stuffy or pretentious. The colors, styles, and quality all exude a certain panache that makes the whole place feel special. Beyond the clothing, the fragrances and accessories are equally delightful. We’re especially fond of the Amber Woods scent—it’s become a favorite. However, the heart of our great experiences here has been the people, especially Joseph. On both of our visits, he and his associate (whose name I unfortunately can’t recall) went above and beyond. Joseph isn’t just skilled at showcasing Johnny Was apparel—he makes you truly appreciate the joyful experience the store has created. That rare blend of professionalism, warmth, and genuine passion makes him a standout sales associate, and his colleague was equally wonderful. Thank you for the beautiful clothes and the exceptional service. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.”

We were looking for several items we had seen in the catalogs, and Kori immediately jumped in to help us track them down throughout the store. Although he was relatively new to the role, he was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and incredibly helpful. I was especially impressed by the creative alternatives he suggested when certain items were sold out. He helped us find related styles that we might not otherwise have considered. “I loved the ambiance and walking into this store to view and try on clothing. The manager Justin and staff are friendly and helpful. I have a pair of shoes with a jewel that fell off and it needed to be repaired. They sent it out for me to repair instead of having me find a shoe repair shop that can repair it. While it took a while to get it back, I am so happy with the concerige, VIP services. Thanks for the over the top customer service!”

“Minh is amazing at finding you the jeans you need. I hate jean shopping because it’s always close but never perfectly comfortable. But Minh recommended a few different fits, knew everything about the different cuts, and went above and beyond the minimum to find me the jeans that fit me without needing to cinch down a belt. I will only do my jeans shopping here. Unfortunately, that means only once a decade.”

“Although online shopping has become even more convenient and you can probably get the same thing (if not more selection) faster online, my focus on this review is about the excellent and welcoming service I received at the Nordstrom at the Fashion Galleria. Ginger helped me pick out and try different skirts, walking around the floor. They also helped me with some last-minute tailoring as well. Be aware that parking can be tough- it can be a long walk as the lots are often full.”
