“Due to my back issue, I hesitated to attend the gym. But my friend Erika recommended PA, praising the kind staff and fitness coaches. Consequently, I enrolled in a trial session last January and found myself highly satisfied with the overall experience.
The highlight of my experience in PA is when Ravi and Jacque modified some of my routine to make it safe for my back. I really appreciate how they check on me after each class, asking “How is your back?” or “Does anything hurt?” I truly appreciate these kinds of gestures, honestly, because I feel like they really care and looking after you.
Overall, each session has contributed to my strength improvement, and I have had a positive experience with them. ☺️”

“Valkyrie Strength and Conditioning is an awesome gym with a very welcoming vibe! The coaches are really encouraging and knowledgeable. The workouts are tough but totally doable as coaches will let you know all the modifications you can try to fit it to your level, and the community is really supportive. “The barre3 studio in West Seattle is truly a gem. From the moment you walk in, the instructors make you feel completely welcome and supported, creating an inclusive and positive environment for everyone. The classes are no joke—they’re challenging in the best way, pushing you to build strength, endurance, and balance—but they’re also incredibly energizing. I always leave feeling empowered, refreshed, and proud of what my body can do. The space is clean, calming, and thoughtfully designed, and the sense of community makes every visit something to look forward to. Whether you’re new to barre or a longtime fan, this studio is a place where you’ll feel both encouraged and inspired.”

“I've been rowing at Row House since November, 2023, and have been thrilled to find this form of exercise. As an older guy, I need low impact cardio, and these classes provide a solid workout, they are fun, and the coaches do a phenomenal job of providing solid encouragement, enthusiasm, while also creating space to go at your own pace.”

“These classes are so fun and energetic. For about 2 years since I stopped working 7am shifts I could not force myself to get up before 8am but I signed up for the 6:15am classes to push myself and I make every class! What motivates me in the morning is knowing that I'll get a good workout in and that the vibes will be 10000% positive.”

“Great Gym, super fun, and helpful. One thing I love about their team is that they have many different ways to create, "touch points" with their members. They send emails, and texts, and work with folks not only when the client is in a session or class, but also outside of it. They also tend to offer events for the their fitness community to hang out and do things together! This is a fantastic place to work out!”

“Such a great neighborhood fitness community - started coming here this summer after slacking a bit on the fitness front. After 30 classes, can say this is a great spot. Each of the coaches have been gems - they teach you how to do things right, and encourage progression and adjustments. It’s a welcoming spot, with all abilities, goals, and experiences supported.”

“South Seattle CrossFit changed my life. I walked into their facility almost 12 years ago and I immediately felt welcomed, supported, and motivated. I had just had a baby and they helped me to feel stronger than I ever had before. Most importantly, I gained some truly amazing friends. The coaches and owners of the gym are some phenomenal human beings. They are always motivating you and guide you through every workout. I always recommend this gym to everyone I know. “Visiting from out of state and dropped in for a class. Great box, friendly, knowledgable and pushed us to work hard. Even though I was there for just one class, Aiden gave me some useful tips. If you're looking to drop in, with good coaching, a clean facility and a workout, I recommend PUSH Box CF.”
“I was in Seattle for the summer and spent a month attending classes at CrossFit West Seattle. I had an excellent experience overall! “What has kept me with Jazzercise for the last twenty-eight years (currently in the lovely Seattle-Ravenna location) was the sense of holistic well-being after each class and the derived energy ready for me to tackle the day. The movement and music are always so much fun. The strength training is always rewarding. And yes, the community, friendships and the collective energy are always supportive and inspiring.”

“Signed up for a day pass last minute. Class was full so I planned to do open gym. Kaden reached out to me and let me know a spot for class was available if I wanted to join. “The more I enjoy the gym I belong to, the more likely I am to visit. I was looking for a club with a good pool for my spouse to do laps in, where I could take classes (yoga), lift weights, and run on the treadmill. I also wanted the equipment to be highly available so I didn’t need to wait around, and the whole place to be clean and well maintained. There’s a lot of care and attention Seattle Athletic Club puts into having a clean, comfortable location. It’s always well staffed, there’s always parking, and they communicate with members about upcoming changes. They take care of the big things and the small things like hairdryers, cotton swabs, machines to wring out your swimsuit and bags, soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the showers, plenty of lockers with locks, large and small towels, and special social events. It’s a great place to work out - maybe even on those days you don’t quite feel like it.”

“I started working with Sonja about two years ago. I'm 70 years old. My goal was to build upper arm strength and make sure I was steady on my feet. I did Sonja's intensive introduction course and then continued on for about a year and a half. Sonja is awesome. Her instincts are excellent with regard to the type of exercise I needed and how to make adjustments. Today I've got my own routine and go to my gym three times a week for a shorter workout. And I feel great. You can even feel the muscles in my arms, which I never had before. I highly recommend Sonja's program. For someone like me who was never interested in weight training before, Sonja was the perfect solution. I looked forward to going to the gym with her and still do. I will be forever grateful for her guidance. Is it intimidating for a 70 year old woman to join a gym with a bunch of young people? A little. But in the end, I was hoping that I could inspire them. You're never to old to learn how to take care of your body. Thank you, Sonja.”
“Love Nikki and Row House! I don’t love working out but I actually look forward to going to these classes. She makes them fun, and taking the strength classes has really showed me the importance of strength training and how good your body can feel when you’re strong.
I’ve lost ~50 pounds since joining row house. I also started a GLP1 about a year ago, so I’m not going to hide that factor too. But the fact that I’ve gained muscle while on my medication is all because of Nikki/Row House.
My friends actually get annoyed when I turn down plans because it overlaps with my workout schedule, they can’t understand why I’d choose that over a social event. I genuinely feel off if I miss a class in my routine. I recommend it to everyone I know!”

“The coaches are truly top-notch. They consistently go above and beyond, walking around during workouts to observe, provide instant feedback, and ensure everyone is performing safely and effectively. The coaches never do the bare minimum—they’re fully invested in helping every member improve, which truly stands out amount other gyms. The coaches and the members foster a very inclusive environment- making everyone feel welcomed.
The gym itself is always clean and well-maintained, which adds to the positive experience. The programming is thoughtful and well-rounded, with workouts designed to challenge all fitness levels while focusing on technique, safety, and progress.
The gym is a convenient stop for me during my commute from downtown everyday. Chef’s Kiss!”

“Having been a member of numerous gyms in the last 20 years, I'd say UP is one of my favorites! I'm a solo exerciser and I love the self-service arrangement here. No front desk or personal trainers to interrupt your workouts, just come and go as you please. It also means there are cameras everywhere, which makes me feel safer AND the gym is open 365 days a year.
There is plenty of cardio equipment and machines for weight training. At peak hours, you may have to wait for a treadmill, as with almost any gym. Be aware that there are no locker rooms or showers, but I live nearby so that's not an issue for me.
The owners/management are very responsive, and any time I've had an email with questions or concerns, they respond right away.”
“This is a very good gym. The scheduled classes are dynamic and consistently provide varied routines that give me a welcome sense of variety. I especially appreciate the onboarding process, where the coaches ensure your familiarity with the different exercises and that you're using the proper form, so that you can get the most of your workouts. It really shows how they go above and beyond.”
