“I walked into The UPS Store carrying about thirty pounds of complications. A notary situation that had spiraled into a three-person, cross-state paper chase. The kind of knot that makes you want to gate-check your sanity and walk away.

Trinity was already handling a line of customers, and she didn’t just acknowledge me—she saw me. Most people in service roles perform the Transaction Bob: a little nod, a “be right with you,” a finger held up like a pause button. Trinity conducted the room like a symphony she’d written on the spot. She got one customer’s package scanned, another’s label printed, and somehow, in the same motion, turned to me and said, “Tell me what we’re untangling today.”

I explained the documents. She didn’t blink. Didn’t hand me a clipboard and hope I’d wander off. She orchestrated. While packaging a return, she pulled up the notary rules for my specific situation. While confirming a mailbox customer’s details, she had me prepping the pages that needed her stamp. It was multitasking not as chaos, but as choreography.

Then she did something that practically required a membership card to a higher tier of service: she asked for the number of the person on the other end of this deal, picked up the phone, and called them herself. Right there, while sealing a box with one hand and explaining a legal line to a stranger with the other. She walked them through exactly what they needed to verify, made sure their signature would arrive correctly, and came back to me with the whole thing aligned. Gate to gate, seamless.

We talk a lot about the loss of human connection, but I think what we actually miss is competence that cares. Trinity has it. She’s not just an employee—she’s a pilot, navigating the turbulence of a busy store and landing every passenger safely. The back of a loyalty card says “Elite,” but it doesn’t mean anything. Trinity defines it.

If you’re shipping yourself through life and need a moment of rare, flawless service, ask for her. She’s a rock star who doesn’t need a stage. Just a counter, a notary stamp, and a line of grateful customers who just experienced the smoothest connection they never expected to find.”

“My sister and I had to come in yesterday with a TON of stuff cleared out of a storage locker due to an unplanned move for my parents. The mountain of stuff we brought in seemed like it would be an insurmountable task, but both Jin and Amanda calmly reassured us they would take good care of everything.

They were able to see how distressed my sister and I were, and they really helped us calm down when we saw how good they were treating my parents’ possessions which included everything from antiques, priceless and irreplaceable family heirlooms, to pure junk that my parents treasured for no apparent reason.

This was the second day in a row we needed to do this at two different UPS stores, and it is great to know we can expect consistently outstanding service from store to store.

“I hope the corporate UPS sees this review and I hope that every manager or owner of each franchise Location reads this review and takes it seriously… as a frequent user of UPS services I have landed on what is the absolute most top notch best UPS in the valley 8776 E. Shea Boulevard -the first thing I noticed is they have a CLEAN automatic door so there’s no more struggling with clumsy doors that are ridden with germs and dirt and fingerprints as is the case at of the UPS at 1924 E. Camelback Road or many others that I’ve attended… there’s a central in Camelback “location that is filthy and allows transients to hang out inside. There’s the Indian school location where the employee ancts furious that they have to put their phone down to help you! All of them are fraught with issues with minimal parking poor customer service and doors that are very difficult to open, especially for somebody who is handicapped such as myself. I love about this location as there’s plenty of parking and there is a number of handicap parking spots that allow for me to park in one of them. The automatic door is delightful. The fact that it is clean is also a pleasant surprise and every time I enter the store I realize that it’s worth my while to drive out of my way to go to this UPS location as opposed to any others because it is here where I’ll be greeted with a warm smile and a jovial. “How can I help you today?” I honestly was shocked. The first time I came in and I thought well this must be the owner and that is why I’m getting such GREAT customer service. The next time I came in with my daughter and even my daughter said “MOM this UPS store is way nicer than the other ones!” We were both having a full conversation about it after we left. I asked the same employee who greeted me this time what his name was and he said his name was Chris and I inquired about how I could please provide a positive recommendation or review he said yes but please just don’t mention my name just put it for the whole team because we all want to help any customer that comes into this location. I could not believe my ears not only is there a jovial, friendly customer service oriented employee who is there to help and does so very efficiently, but he also wants to give credit to his entire team so he has humility. These are rare traits in this day and age and I have to say other UPS stores please take notice. This is the prototype of what all of you should be striving to provide to the customers, instead I get surly Slow service at the other locations, as slow as molasses and really could care less. Another standout thing that I noticed about this location. The employee actually offered to take the surplus recycling box that I brought my items in to return to Amazon. This has never happened to other locations. In fact, they discouraged it and at other locations they won’t even allow you to use a 6 inch piece of tape. Should your package need it? I’ve been forced to buy a whole roll of tape in order to just put a small amount of tape on a package That needed just a little bit more security all in all I will be a repeat customer and I will organize my Scottsdale trips around a visit to the UPS store when necessary in the future because the experience is so much superior to the other locations also might add they move very quickly in the store and get everything done rapidly with a smile on their faces and have a nice day Just absolutely delightful. Thank you so much and I hope that the owner of this franchise location gives a special bonus to the employees working at the store because they deserve it.”

I paid $148 upfront ($40/month plus a $25 admin fee and tax) and provided all required identification, only to be told by the clerk, Spencer, that I would have to wait 1–5 business days for my keys because he was “too busy” to finish the paperwork.

Taking payment and then delaying access to the service is unacceptable. It’s like paying for a hotel room and being told you can’t have the key until next week because the clerk is busy checking in other guests.

Based on other reviews, this “I’m slammed” explanation and attitude appear to be a recurring issue. If you need a mailbox the day you pay for it, go elsewhere.”
